7 Expectations at St Clement s At St Clement s we expect the highest standards of behaviour, uniform, effort and achievement. In Years 1 & 2 we encourage the children to become more independent and responsible.

8 Curriculum 2014 At St Clement s we are very excited by the NEW national Curriculum. Our curriculum is exciting to teach, makes connections between subjects, will inspire successful learning and develop high standards of attainment. Some examples of our topics this year are: Penguins, Possums & Pigs (Year 1) Explorers (Year 2) The Great Outdoors (Year 1) Buckets and Spades (Year 2) We always try to enhance our learning experiences by inviting visitors into school or going out on school trips. In Year 2 the children go on a residential trip to Tattenhall in June.

9 The New National Curriculum Feedback from the DfE... I was extremely impressed with the hard work that you and your team have put in for your schools to implement the new national curriculum. The materials/resources and events that your department have developed and organised are of the best I have seen. I can confirm that other if not most LA s do not compare. I witnessed members of your team speaking with such passion about their work and as a result they would regularly go that extra mile. Lancashire County Council is at the forefront of curriculum implementation and I thank you and your team for the chance to see this fantastic work in person. Stephanie Aitken Curriculum and Qualifications Delivery Unit and Director s Office June 2014
