4 DI-BSCCO Coil for Armature winding Iron core (FLC) 4 W V U U V W Double pancake coil (DPC) The armature composes of six iron-cored HTS windings and form 3 phases. Coil for armature is a stack of 14 double-pancake coils with DI-BSCCO. The windings are impregnated by epoxy and fixed to withstand electromagnetic force and mechanical vibration. Heat generated by AC loss (rated frequency ~ 16.7 Hz) is quickly transferred into the LN 2 through the cooling channel.
