1 Job Description for: Salary: Senior International Business and Recruitment Manager/Consultant circa 40k per annum and PRP Hours of work: 37 Responsible to: Head of Business Development Other significant relationships: Eecutive Director Commercial and Business Operations Associate Dean of HE Head of Marketing and Communications Associate Dean of Business School Head of Core Curriculum Health and Safety Officer Job Summary The main purpose of this role is to coordinate and manage International Programmes to meet targets for growing international student recruitment. The post holder will be epected to develop a coherent strategy for developing new international programmes, growing student numbers, developing partnerships at home and abroad and to realise other opportunities in line with the College s overall strategic plan. Main duties and responsibilities of the post: 1. To be responsible for the delivery to set targets for international student recruitment. In particular you will focus on growing the intake in priority markets and identifying and delivering entry strategies for new markets 2. Develop partnerships, alliances and working relationships with overseas organisations including colleges, universities, employees, government offices and other relevant stakeholders 3. To develop, get agreement on and implement international strategy, and marketing and recruitment plans to deliver to the targets 4. To analyse market data and trends and prepare reports and recommendations for new activities to grow revenues. 5. To plan, allocate and manage budgets effectively with regular reporting throughout the cycle 6. To co-ordinate the marketing and promotion of the internal offer overseas in relation to student recruitment, the student eperience, progression partnerships, alumni and stakeholder development. 2 7. To ensure effective eternal networks are in place with influential bodies including: government agencies, ministries, agents and appropriate international organisations 8. To work with the Director of International Development to coordinate and disseminate regular updates of management information and performance indicators 9. To build and disseminate epert cultural knowledge and market intelligence and to proactively identify eisting or new programme demand. 10. To raise the profile of the international department internally and eternally 11. Planning and liaising with Central Marketing for online activities, such as webinars and social media activities, to support recruitment plans 12. To oversee the relationship with in-country representatives and agents for key markets. This will include agreement and selection of partners and reps, setting and managing performance targets, and ongoing monitoring and support 13. Co-ordinate the admissions and recruitment process for international programmes, including analysing enquiry, application and enrolment data to produce management information reports to track recruitment performance 14. Co-ordinate the welfare support, orientation and induction for International students. 15. Work with colleagues to develop the international portfolio of provision and benefits (London pull) managing International Programmes staff and having oversight of processes supporting the International Programmes and ensuring quality of delivery of these programmes 16. Be the first point of contact at the College for the accommodation arrangements of all international students and administer contracts and financial schemes associated with Homestay arrangements 17. To build and disseminate epert cultural knowledge and market intelligence to raise the profile of the international department internally and eternally 18. To oversee the relationship with in-country representatives and agents. This will include agreement and selection of partners and reps, setting and managing performance targets, ongoing monitoring and support, contractual negotiations and developing Service Level Agreements 19. Develop and maintain knowledge of UKBA Tier 4 regulations and policies and implementation of these policies at BROMLEY COLLEGE; maintain Tier 4 Level 1 User status as back-up for CAS issuance and serve as supplementary source of knowledge to enable BROMLEY COLLEGE compliance with all Tier 4 responsibilities, particularly with regard to agents and other recruitment stage issues. 20. Contribute to the development and content of newsletters, agent handbooks, publicity and promotional material, internal and eternal publications, and lead on the development and updating of the international section of the College s web-site. Maintain a liaison role with the Head of Marketing and Communications regarding production of international marketing materials. Job Description: International Business Manager 2 of 5

3 21. Take a lead on dealing with agent commission claims and payments and production of management information relating to agent performance 22. Produce regular reports on International and EU student recruitment, performance and income reports, including the analysis of student enrolment data, identification of progress against targets and milestones at enquiry, application and enrolment stages, and agent performance statistics and reports 23. Develop a yearly calendar of overseas activities, cost effectively travelling to destinations where tangible results are achieved 24. Act as the lead catalyst across the organisation to internationalise all parts of the curriculum, securing bids and opportunities for staff and students to develop a global perspective 25. Develop and oversee the international components of the Bromley Advantage so all learners are engaged in a global contet 26. Develop links and relationships with schools, colleges, universities, academic institutions, ministry contacts, University of Derby alumni and other contacts to support recruitment activities General The post holder may be required to perform duties other than those given in the job description for the post. 4 PERSON SPECIFICATION: International Business Manager Qualifications: Graduate or equivalent professional qualification. Skills, knowledge and eperience: Eperience of working in international education, particularly in areas of work relating to study abroad, EFL and other long and short course activity; Eperience of line management and supervision of staff; Eperience of developing effective systems for recording, maintaining and retrieving. Eperience of Project Management Eperience of development of content for websites that is functional and accessible for international students Ecellent oral and written communication skills Good organisational skills, including ability to meet multiple deadlines and prioritise; Ecellent communication, presentation and TI skills Ability to produce analytical reports, including accuracy and attention to detail and ability to produce written reports for a range of audiences. Knowledge of principles of marketing communications and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) Knowledge of financial procedures and budgeting Knowledge of Tier 4 rules and policies.
