1 CUK Global Summer School 2016 The Catholic University of Korea is pleased to offer international students the opportunity to come to South Korea and participate in culture and the students program during the summer of 2016 Overview of the CUK GLOBAL SUMMER SCHOOL! The Catholic University of Korea has been working hard to promote our international education programs for international students. We have been offering the CUK Global Summer School since Through this program, students gain a wide range of background knowledge about the traditions, society, and the dynamics of contemporary South Korea, both in and out of classrooms. PROGRAM DATES The program runs from July 1, 2016, to July 22, Students are expected to arrive on campus on Thursday, June 30 and depart on Saturday, July 23. WEEKLY PROGRAMS - language classes: 15 hours per week - Studies: 2 classes including a Cooking Class * Studies will include Society, History, and Culture.

2 PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS 1. Language Class (3 Credits) Students with no Language background can all sign up for the Language Class. After a level test upon arrival, students will take part in classes where they will have opportunities to improve their skills in speaking, listening, reading and writing in. 2. Enriching Cultural Experience -Diverse field trips (including traditional and modern destinations) -Authentic cultural experience through Folk Village -Multicultural Environment : Making new friends from other countries at CUK, sharing ideas, and learning about new cultures HOUSING Students are placed in double rooms with shared bathrooms. Our dormitories accommodate males and females separately. 24-hour security and dormitory office staff members are available during off-hours for any type of emergency. The program was set up superbly and the supporters and social activities were the highlights of the trip. It has changed my life, I have grown over time and I will never forget the friends and memories I made. The peer supporters were wonderful and helpful. We all became very close, the members and the supporters. The field trips and excursions were wonderfully planned and enabled us to experience a lot of culture and practices first hand. Plus, we learned which was wonderful.
