2 Product Overview The Airodek system of lightweight aluminium panels and adjustable props means 30% less weight and 40% fewer parts than conventional steel props and timber, and 25% less weight than other systems using primary beams and panels. All of which saves time, labour and cost. 3 Application & Options Airodek is a lightweight soffit formwork system which has been designed for easy assembly, transportation, storage and maintenance. It comes in 3 variants. Application Soffit formwork - suitable for a range of concrete slabs up to 700mm thick depending on the panels used. Variant 1 Props and Panels The panels are supported by the crowns and props. The whole system is struck once the concrete has gained sufficient strength. Variant 2 - Panels, Deck Beams, Dropheads and Shoring A quick strip system, where the panels and deck beams are removed during the early stages of curing, whilst the dropheads and shoring remain undisturbed to support the concrete. Variant 3 - Skeletal System The deck beams sit in the drophead and the Airodek soffit beam spans between the deck beams supporting the plywood. The deck beams and soffit beams can be struck and removed, leaving the plywood supported by the dropheads and shoring. 2

Airodek has been designed for easy assembly, transportation, storage and maintenance. Lightweight A single operator can easily and safely handle all the equipment reducing labour times for erection and dismantling. Unique Crown The unique crown securely locates the corners of up to four panels simultaneously ensuring panels cannot easily be dislodged. Erected from below the soffit Panels and beams can be erected from below the soffit reducing working at height issues. Safety Upstands Plastic upstands on decking beams provide secure location points and prevent the unintentional dislodging of panels. Quick Strike pin Standard props have a quick strike pin which releases the load with a single hammer blow. This increases project productivity. Useful Accessories Spacing gates and legs provide stability and give props the correct spacing. Infill bracket & support block Removes the necessity for additional propping adjacent to existing walls where panels donâ t quite reach. 3

5 Features & Benefits Innovative Components Drophead The quick strike system lowers the decking beams by 70mm to enable the panels to be removed and re-used whilst leaving the concrete propped. 2 sizes of Infill beams Neatly removes the necessity for additional timber support to the plywood used at infill positions. Lightweight All components in the prop and panel system are under 25kg making them easy for man handling. Easy handling The largest panel has twin grab handles to facilitate easy handling. Base jack Drophead, perimeter U-head and crown are all designed to support the decking beams without differing adjustments to height of the jack at the base. 4

6 In Detail Easy To Use Increased Productivity Extensive Accessories Fast, one man fix and strike provides record breaking onsite productivity. The Airodek infill bracket and support block is for use in conjunction with the Airodek crown, providing support for aluminium or timber beams in a close to wall situation where other supports, like props, would be difficult to use. Quick Strike Fewer Components A single hammer blow to the quick strike pin releases the load in the props by lowering the crown and the panel by 4mm which is sufficient to release the formwork panels. Airodek has fewer components than other soffit support systems. This reduces storage, handling, maintenance and transport costs. Lightweight Always Stable Lightweight aluminium panels and adjustable props means 30% less weight and 40% fewer parts than conventional steel props and timber, and 25% less weight than other systems using primary beams and panels. Specially designed heavy duty crown, spacing gates, legs and upstands provide safety and stability. 5

7 Brent Street, Airodek In Detail Safe & Secure Maximum Reuse Slab Supported After Striking Drophead panel is notched around the prop head plate, maximising re-use of panels and beams. Release of the striking plate lowers panels and beams by 70mm, whilst the drophead maintains contact with the underside of the slab. Versatile The striking plate on Airodek dropheads is capable of being either set or released from either side of the prop. The Airodek Drophead includes a safety catch that prevents accidental striking 6
