8 Question 2 (20 marks) Marks Read the text below. meerah sprained her arm very badly. The doctor decided to plaster it and told meerah to stay at home for a few days. meerah s family and friends were so kind and concerned about her that she soon began to enjoy herself. School friends brought her chocolates and sweets. Her grandmother sent her story books, and her parents made sure she had all her favourite food. t last the plaster was removed. The doctor said the arm was now quite healed. meerah was disappointed. Oh no, she insisted, it s really still quite painful. Look, I can t lift my school bag! Well, said her mother, perhaps you should stay at home one more day and come to the shops with me. Mother drove to the shopping centre and parked her car. meerah saw someone selling mangoes near the parking lot. Oh mother, can we have some? said meerah. They look delicious! Yes, said mother, go and buy some for the whole family. meerah ran off and soon came back carrying a large bag of mangoes on the arm which had been sprained!
