2 Acknowledgements Wide Bay Mental Health Peer Work Scholarship Project The Wide Bay Scholarship Project was funded by revenue raised from the 2015 Out of the Box Conference. The Conference was a Partners in Recovery (PIR) initiative that saw major stakeholders from across the Wide Bay collaboratively plan, fund and host a two-day conference for local people who use (as consumers or carers/family members) or work in mental health services. Out of the Box project partners identified that ensuring the Certificate IV in Mental Health Peer Work was accessible to people across Wide Bay was a key priority for the region. Consequently, the revenue raised from the conference was committed as seed funding to leverage additional in-kind support from Wide Bay Mental Health Alcohol Other Drugs Service (WBMHAODS) and Central Queensland University (CQU) Centre for Professional Development. This provided the impetus and capacity for CQU TAFE to bring the training package into scope in 2016 and offer twenty (one-off) scholarship places for eligible Wide Bay residents. Mental Health Peer Work Qualification Development project The study materials for the below units have been sourced from resources developed by Community Mental Health Australia (CMHA) for the Mental Health Peer Work Qualification Development project funded by the National Mental Health Commission (NMHC).
