M.Tech Industry Stream Programmes are offered in the following Specializations. Students will study the 1st year at VelTech University, Chennai and 2 nd year at respective partner institute. They will do their final semester Project work either at Partner Institute / University / in a core industry depending upon their placement. What is the prerequisite for enrolment in this course? For ARAI, CIRT, FCRI, GARC, UCAL-JAP Candidate should posses I class in his/her B.E. / B.Tech with relevant specialization with good knowledge in fundamentals & communication skills. In exceptional cases, students without I class shall also be considered.

2 For CDAC courses Candidate should posses I class in his/her B.E. / B.Tech / MCA / M.Sc with relevant specialization with good knowledge in fundamentals & communication skills. In exceptional cases, students without I class shall also be considered. What is the Selection Procedure? Candidates with minimum first class at UG level will be selected for admission based on their performance in Entrance Exam & Personal Interview. The Assessment Criteria s are % - Percentage of marks scored in UG 40% - Written Test % - Personal Interview 10% - Ex-Tempo Note: All applicants must bring attested copies of all mark sheets along with a statement showing workings on overall percentage to claim marks under criteria I. What is the syllabus for the Entrance Exam, duration, type of questions etc.? For ARAI, CIRT, GARC & UCAL - JAP - It will be an objective type examination for 100 marks. 100 objective type questions will be asked. Part A will have 100 questions from UG core specialization & Part B will have questions from basics of Automotive Engineering. No negative marking. Duration will be 120 minutes for Part A & 30 minutes for Part B. For CDAC & FCRI - It will be an objective type examination for 100 marks. Part A will have 100 questions from UG core specialization. No negative marking. Duration will be 120 minutes. No Part B section for CDAC & FCRI Programme. 4 Are you providing any stipend during studies? University is not paying any stipend for M.Tech students. However University will assist students to apply for various external scholarships. What are the documents to be produced at the time of Interview/Admission? A Demand Draft for minimum of Rs.5000/- in favor of "VelTech Dr.RR & Dr.SR Technical University" Payable at Chennai should reach us on or before 5 days prior to date of Interview. Refer our website for Interview dates. 1. UG Degree Certificate. 2. All mark sheets of your UG degree. 3. Transfer Certificate / Migration Certificate. 4. Community Certificate (If applicable) 5. Resume - 2 Copies 6. UG Project Report 7. 8 Passport size photographs of the candidate (6 for VelTech & 2 for Partner Institute). 8. Passport size photographs of parents. 9. Blood group report. 10. Any other relevant Certificates, if required. When is the last date to pay the Tuition/Hostel/Transport fees? The Complete fees have to be paid within 10 days from the Date of Interview/Selection. How to pay the fees?{ installments if any?, Cheque, Cash, DD} Candidates can pay their fees only through DD drawn in favor of Vel Tech Dr.RR & Dr.SR Technical University payable at Chennai. There is no provision to pay the fees in installments. Is VEL TECH arranging for Educational loan through banks? VEL TECH University plays the role of a facilitator in this aspect. Should the parents come along with the candidate for interview? It is Optional.

5 What about Hostel accommodation? Separate hostel accommodation is available for Boys and Girls. Hostel officials will be available during the admission. You can contact them for all details. Allotment of hostel is purely based on availability and on first come first served basis. Weekly 6 days, 8.45am to 4.00pm What about the placement facilities? 100 percent placement assistance will be provided by VelTech & Partner Institute. The advisory council for this M.Tech programmes will have members from leading Automobile, IT, Electronics, Electrical industries who will support students for industry interaction and placement.
