26 Itinerary Outward THURSDAY 26 TH March MEET IN FCC REAR CAR AT 7.00 PM PROMPT Bring EHIC card (if not already handed in) Take provisions from home for the journey Bring own toiletries and towels and overnight bag for ferry Don t forget spending money in pounds and Euros. There will be opportunities to buy souvenirs etc. Recommended spending about 10 per day. Return MONDAY 30th March 11pm

27 The Hotel Maison Familiale Bon Sejour. A Youth centre is located in its own grounds which overlooks the beach in the small village of Merville Franceville, 6 kilometres west of Cabourg. All rooms sleep 3 4 students. Rooming will be organised before travelling to France.

28 The Hotel Outdoor swimming pool (only usable if lifeguards are available) Vending machine Games room with table football, video games, two pool tables and pin ball machines Students should take toiletries and towels as these are not provided

29 Behaviour in the Hotel Students are sharing the hotel with other guests and must be considerate at all times. Rudeness and loud behaviour will not be tolerated Waiting staff should be treated with respect and respond well to s il vous plaît and merci they work hard and late Students must remain at the tables during mealtimes for all courses and until they are dismissed. Breakfast is not to be eaten standing or on the wander. Students are expected to clear their tables

30 Free Time Pool, bring a football for the beach or frisbee or another game that can be played on sand Students can take cards, I pods, phones etc. however staff will not take responsibility for these items Don t forget any medication including travel sickness pills Strictly no alcohol/drugs/smoking allowed

31 Behaviour and Conduct Good behaviour/respect and observation of dress code ZERO TOLERANCE ON ALCOHOL, DRUGS and SMOKING failure to comply will result in student being sent home at parent/student cost The trip is exhausting all students should be in their own rooms at 10.15pm, lights out 10.45pm Each room will have an allocated member of staff who must be obeyed The Coach Driver and guides should be treated with the same respect that you give a member of staff.

32 Behaviour and Conduct Any damage to hotel property to be charged to student/parent Staff acting in loco parentis All personal belongings and monies are the responsibility of individual students. During free time outside of the hotel it is imperative that students are accompanied at all times by other members of the party min 3 to a group

33 Dress Code Sensible clothing loose layers/comfort/waterproofs/old trainers Students should take a spare carrier bag in their pockets to sit on if ground is wet Respectable clothing is required for towns, museums, cemeteries and the hotel e.g no low cut tops, visible boxer shorts/pants Students are strictly not permitted to lounge in nightwear or to wear it at meal times

34 Key Info Health/medical issues. EHIC card must be carried at all times by the student once in France. Spending money to be taken in pounds and Euros ferry, soft drinks in evenings at the hotel, free time and the final afternoon of the trip. Students may need to purchase food if the packed lunch does not sustain them

35 Key Info Parents SHOULD NOT ask their son/daughter to buy alcohol/tobacco on their behalf as it will be confiscated at customs
