12 Reuse of Data Problem Electrical work is repetitive. Circuits and even entire projects can be used over and over but things like device tags, wire numbers, and title block information tend to need changing. Solution Copy functions for project, installations, groups of pages and individual circuits. saved circuits go to a searchable library. 14

13 Error Checking Problem Users are prone to making dozens of engineering errors, such as duplicating device ID s, using contacts on a relay that don t exist, short circuits and many others. Solution Real-time and batch error checking Batch error checks are used for errors that are part of the drawing process but not acceptable in the final output. Errors such as trying to duplicate a device ID, overassigning contacts on a relay or connecting wires of different voltages are given to a user in real time. 15

14 Instant Real Time Error Prevention promis e knows by part number that a relay has only 2 N.O. contacts If an Engineer tries to place a 3 rd N.O. contact on this relay, an instant design consideration message is generated. 16

15 Automatic Cross-Referencing Problem Accurate signal and device cross referencing is extremely time consuming. Solution Real-time cross-referencing.
