1 Department of Management Sciences (PUMBA) Savitribai Phule Pune University Admission Process for MBA (Pharma-Biotechnology) for the Academic Year Date: June 30, 2015 Time: 9.30 AM Onwards Place: Department of Management Sciences (PUMBA) IMPORTANT: The candidates desirous of taking admission to the MBA (PBT) program are required to bring all original certificates and documents. The admission will be confirmed at the time of counseling, ONLY after the payment of the fees through a Demand Draft@ (see fee details) and submission of all original documents#. (See document details). The admissions for the course are governed by Ordinance 181 of Savitribai Phule Pune University and rules & regulations issued by government of Maharashtra State with regards to the MBA admissions will be applicable. 3 In addition 3% of the total intake capacity (i.e. 2 seats) shall be reserved for physically handicapped candidates. 1 seat over and above the intake capacity is reserved for candidate from Jammu & Kashmir as per the Government s directive. 15% of the total intake capacity (i.e. 9 seats) over and above the intake capacity will be Supernumerary seats available to Foreign Nationals. The Director, International Students Centre of the Savitribai Phule Pune University, will confirm the eligibility criteria for these students. Certificates & Other Documents Required# The candidates will have to produce the following Original Certificates and Documents for admission. 1. ATMA score card 2. Statement of marks certificate for SSC (Tenth Standard) 3. Passing certificate for SSC (Tenth Standard) 4. Statement of marks certificate for HSC (Twelfth Standard) 5. Passing certificate for HSC (Twelfth Standard) 6. Final Year Degree Mark sheet (Graduation) 7. Degree Certificate (Graduation) 8. Transfer Certificate 9. Age & Nationality Certificate 10. Domicile Certificate 11. Migration Certificate (if applicable) 12. Caste Certificate (For All Reserved Category Candidates) 13. Caste Validity Certificate (For All Reserved Category Candidates) 14. Non-Creamy Layer Certificate (For OBC, SBC, VJ-DT, NT-B, NT-C, NT-D Category Candidates) valid for the current year. Note: The candidate has to bring the original Caste Certificate, Caste Validity Certificate and Non-Creamy Layer Certificate at the time of admission.

The Director, International Students Centre of the Savitribai Phule Pune University, will confirm the eligibility criteria for these students.

4 If the candidate cannot certify his or her Caste at the time of admission, then he/she will be listed in the general merit list. Fee The candidates will have to secure their admission by paying full fees at the time of admission. Rules for Refund The candidates canceling their confirmed admissions will be entitled to receive the refund of fees after deducting the amounts as indicated below: Cancellation Rules Admission Cancelled Deduction 1. 5 In case, the candidate fails in his/her qualifying examination (graduation) and cannot produce his/her passing certificate due to any reason- no refund is permissible for such cases. Counseling Procedure for Admissions All candidates whose names appear in the Provisional Merit List have to be present for the counseling round scheduled on 30 June 2015 at 9:30 AM. Only the candidates who are present on the day of counseling will be considered for admission and preparation of waiting list. Presence of name in the provisional merit list does not guarantee admission Counseling Process During the counseling procedure, the admissions are conducted in the following order seats for candidates graduating from Savitribai Phule Pune University (Home University, HU) as per general inter-se merit list of all candidates seats for candidates graduating from other universities in the State of Maharashtra (WMS) as per general inter-se merit. However, the admissions of such students shall be made on the basis of University-wise merit to ensure that the students admitted are not necessarily from the same University seats for candidates graduating from universities outside the State of Maharashtra (OMS) as per general inter-se merit of all candidates. However, the admissions of such students shall be made on the basis of University-wise merit to ensure that the students admitted are not necessarily from the same University seats for reserved category candidates from Savitribai Phule Pune University as per the Home University Reserved Category merit list seats for reserved category candidates from other universities in the state of Maharashtra (WMS- reserved category) are filled as per the category wise merit list seat for candidate from the state of Jammu & Kashmir.

Only the candidates who are present on the day of counseling will be considered for admission and preparation of waiting list.

Refer Ordinance 181 for details: ( ) Preparation of Waiting List A merit score based waiting list is prepared for each category at the end of the admission round from the candidates present at PUMBA during the admission round. (Presence of name in the merit list does not guarantee inclusion of your name in the waiting list.) The candidates are required to provide at least two correct phone numbers and an address during the preparation of waiting list. If there are any cancellations, the person on the waiting list will receive a call and from the department. The last date for the waiting list based admission is July 31, Please Note: In case of a serious illness or injury, wherein the candidate is unable to present himself / herself for the purpose of admission on the said date, a parent, relative or sibling may be appointed as an authority to complete the formalities of admission. This authorized person must bring an authority letter signed by the candidate, all the original documents, fees and also carry his / her valid Identity proof. PUMBA authorities reserve the right to call the candidate for verification purpose. In case of any dispute, the decision taken by the Head of the Department will be Final
