4 CITTA SCOUT RESERVATION 2016 Program Areas Area: Location: Description: Lower road - Next to Mohican Campsite Also known as our Water Front, the aquatics area is home to all our water based merit badges. It has four different swimming areas and a boating area. We have canoes, row boats, kayaks and sail boats. Our aquatics staff is certified with BSA Guard. CSI: Brookville Road into camp near Smokey the Bear sign. This area is unique to our camp. We have incorporated medical, public safety, legal and law enforcement badges together to create this area. Open program merit badges are supplemented with guest speakers who work in the field of study. New this year is Veterinary Medicine! C.O.P.E CSR: Eagle Corp First Class Frontier Middle Road before the spillway Middle Road, near Spaghetti Trail Lower Road Middle Road Middle Road near Algonquin Campsite Challenging Outdoor Personal Experience. This area of our camp uses games and other obstacles to build scouts' trust in each other and in themselves. Obstacles to include; a team wall, rock wall, giant's ladder, and the Leap of Faith. Must be 13 years old This area of camp is where our traditional Eagle badges are held. This area of our camp is where we teach all of our nature, wildlife, and science merit badges. We have classrooms on our Nature Trail and a fishing dock on our lake. Also featured here is our S.T.E.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) Program, the new forefront of the Scouting Movement. Here, you can work on the NOVA Awards through merit badges and hands-on science experiments. This area is for our new scouts. Its program is built to help scouts get from the Scout Rank to First Class Rank and also incorporates the Swimming and Leatherwork merit badges. The scouts complete requirements like their 5-mile hike and an overnight campout at our outpost site. This area is where we teach our artistic and creative merit badges. Remodeled this year we will be offering badges like Chess, Theatre, and Composite Materials.
5 CITTA SCOUT RESERVATION 2016 Program Areas Area: Location: Description: Ranger Warehouse This is another Citta unique area. Your scouts spend time with our ranger getting their hands dirty and help the camp while working on merit badges. Middle Road This area is where we teach merit badges based in Scout Skills. This area is home to 'Pioneer Land' where scouts can see examples of Pioneer projects like our tower or monkey bridge. New to this summer is Signs, Signals and Codes Merit Badge! North Road always have a BLAST in this area. Home to our shooting merit badges like; Rifle, Shotgun and Archery! Explore the Shore Trek Program Location will be annouced duringat breakfast This area is for Adventurous. This program allows to experience Citta and the Jersey Shore in a new and fun way. With activities like surfing, kayaking, deep sea fishing!

This area helps get your scout on their way to completing up to First Class! * Class fees applied online when registering ** COPE and Climbing cash fee for Rockville Climbing Gym should be brought to camp and will be paid upon arriving at Rockville. New to 2016! We will now be printing out bluecards for all your scouts! We do not need to receive any bluecards from any scouts. At the end of the week, troops will receive a print out of every merit badge a scout has completed!

Mock Trial will be held on Friday during Siesta in the Picnic Grove. Veterinary Medicine CSI: Brookville Tuesday & Must attend both Sessions Scouting Heritage CSR: Eagle Corps Tuesday Pre-Requisites: 4, 5, 8 Bring Patch Collection for Req 6 By Appointment Monday, Tuesday, Use this time to work on additional merit badges or as a makeup session! Schedule time directly with counselor. Fish Fry. As part of the Fishing merit badge, learn how to properly cut and prepare a fish for dinner. Geology Monday & Tuesday Must attend both Sessions Plant Science & Must attend both Sessions Art Tuesday & Must attend both Sessions. Prerequisites: 6 Collections Collections cannot be either coin or stamp collections. Sculpture Monday Prerequisites: 2c
13 Open Program Schedule () Badge/Activity Area Time Comments/Pre-Requisites Paul Bunyan Tuesday The goal of the program is to build on the scouts knowledge of the Totin Chip. Pioneer Projects Test your ability to lash and tie knots. Build things with our staff and see all Scouting has to offer. Totin' Chip Monday Learn the basics to the proper handling of pocket knives, hatchets, axes, and saws. Scoutmasters will have the final say in awarding the Totin' Chip. First Class Frontier Open Shoot Monday At this time the range will be open to first year campers only, so we do not interrupt valuable program time. Scoutmaster Shoot Tuesday "It's like nothing you've ever done at a Boy Scout camp!" A competition between Scoutmasters to see who's the best shot in camp. (Rifle, Shotgun, Pistol) Open Archery Work on your requirements for Archery merit badge or just have some fun and practice your aim. Open Rifle Work on your requirements or just have some fun and practice your aim. 5 Shots for $1, can be bought in Trading Post. Open Shotgun Work on your requirements for shotgun or just have some fun and practice your aim. 50 cents per shell, can be bought in Trading Post. Final Qualifications Friday To Be Decided by Director based on need of scouts that week. SPL Meetings Picnic Grove Monday- Friday 12:30pm Send your SPL to get any updates about camp and program to continue the patrol method!

Songs, Skits, and Stories galore! Leader's Cracker-barrel Sunday 9:45pm Dining Hall Sit down with the Management Staff and all the Area Directors to learn about this week's program! Snacks provided! Polar Bear Swim Monday,, Friday 7am Wake up in the mornings with a refreshing splash in the lake! If there is enough participation during the week, Management staff will jump in wearing Class A uniform! Open Program Monday, 7pm-8pm,, : Open Swimming : Open Fishing : Open Shooting (Monday: Rifle and Archery, : Shotgun) CSR Trivia Night To Be Decided Dining Hall SPLs and Scoutmasters team up in the first annual CSR Trivia Night! Sports, scout skills, geography, and much more will be tested! Highland Games Monday 8:00pm-9:15pm Parade Field Dust off the kilt and air out the 'ole bagpipes! Come test your strength in traditional Scottish athletics and scout skills! Tuesday 7pm Scout Chapel Join us and enjoy our non-denominational Scout Vespers Service! Vespers Spartan Race Olympic Torch Relay 7:15pm 7:45pm Parade Field Parade Field Challenge yourself with this demanding race! Bike from the parade field to aquatics, swim to the buoy, run back to the camp office. The multi-man relay does not focus on one scouts physical abilities but on the abilities of many. It incorporates the scouting abilities and physical abilities of multiple scouts to create one team. Scoutmaster Dessert Cook Off 8pm Camp Office Show off your dessert skills by cooking a delicious dessert in camp for the staff to judge!
15 CITTA SCOUT RESERVATION 2016 Evening Camp Wide Program Around the World in Ninety Minutes 8pm-9:30pm Parade Field Test your knowledge of the world and your scout skills to solve the mystery! Closing Campfire Friday 8:15pm Boat House Your final Hoorah! Put on skits, songs or cheers for your fellow campers! Awards given out for the week's events!
16 Water Carnival Event One: Crazy Canoe: 4 Swimmers- Get in the canoe and paddle with your hands to the lifeguard. Jump out of the canoe when the whistle is blown. Event Two: Buddy Check: Two scouts of any ability (Under 14) - One scout jumps in to retrieve a blue or red half of buddy tags. Once this scout reaches the beach his buddy jumps in and finds the other half Event Three: Bucket Relay: Four scouts, each of different ability, and a Scoutmaster. Each team has a bucket with water. The bucket will travel from scout to scout without spilling water. The last member dumps the water on the Scoutmaster! Event Four: Sugar Cookie: One scout of any ability (Under 14) - run into the water, run out, and then cover themselves in sand. The scouts vote on the winner based on creativity and amount of sand. Event Five: Cardboard Canoe: Two swimmers paddle canoe to the buoy or lifeguard and back. First out of their canoe on the beach wins. Recommended that troops see either Director or Program Director for official boat rules. Event Six: Scoutmaster s Splash: Unlimited adults entries. Best belly flop wins.
