Game marshals may attend games to observe the conduct of spectators, players and team officials and have the authority to eject spectators and team officials for any behaviour deemed inappropriate for a youth sporting event. This can include intoxication, verbal abuse towards game officials, players or team officials, excessive or aggressive screaming, demeaning or condescending remarks, swearing, etc. We have a zero tolerance policy. This can include swinging sticks at players, hits from behind, two handed slashes, intentional contact to the head, racial slurs, lewd gestures, swearing, spitting at players, etc. Any action that a marshal deems was an intent to injure will eject a player from the game regardless of action or inaction by the on ice officials. 3) Insurance: a) All teams must carry a minimum of $2 million dollars in team general liability insurance. 8 COACHES CODE OF CONDUCT I will always display good sportsmanship and fair play, and will encourage the same from my players, colleagues, opponents, parents and spectators. I will respect the referees and game officials and their authority during every game. I will not dispute, challenge, or excessively argue any decisions made by them, or confront any referee or league official at the rink before, during or after a game. If necessary, I will take the time to calmly and rationally discuss any situation or call made during a game with a league official or by utilizing the any available Referee Complaint Form. I will not swear, use profanity or make obscene gestures, or engage in any inappropriate behavior or conduct. I will have a positive attitude on the bench and will always praise my players for trying hard, playing fair and doing their best, regardless of the outcome of the game. I will not criticize or yell at any player for making a mistake or losing a competition. I will maintain an environment that is free from drugs and alcohol and will refrain from their use at all games. I will never coach a game if I am under the influence of drugs or alcohol. I will be humble in victory and gracious in defeat.

9 SPECTATOR CODE OF CONDUCT Remember that participants play hockey for their enjoyment. They are not playing to entertain you. Do not have unrealistic expectations. Remember that the players are not professionals and cannot be judged by professional standards. Respect official s decisions and encourage participants to do the same. Never ridicule a player for making a mistake during a game. Give positive comments that motivate and encourage a continued effort on and off the ice. Do not use bad language or harass players, officials, coaches or other spectators. Refrain from yelling directions to players, coaches or officials. Cheer in a positive manner, especially for exciting plays, individual efforts or team accomplishments.
