1 WISTA International AGM WISTA Sweden cordially invites you to the 31st WISTA International AGM in Stockholm, Sept 14-16th, We are officially open for registration, please visit and register at your earliest convenience we are ready and waiting for you! We have chosen the theme Leadership Opportunities for the future for the Conference and that is exactly what we are going to discuss. There are so many shifts influencing the future happening right now and we need to be at the frontline of those, in order to manage the future. We put the demand on you; Come to Stockholm in September and participate in the Conference, make your voice heard, give us your views and let s shape the leadership of the future! Mrs Ulla Hamilton, City Commissioner, City of Stockholm will welcome you all to Stockholm and Mr Mitropoulos, IMO Secretary-General, will deliver the key note address. It is the third time in a row Mr Mitropoulos supports our international conference, we have seen him in London and Athens and this year we will introduce him to the Swedish maritime cluster! There will be panel discussions and workshops covering the question of Leadership from many different angles through the week, all under the leadership of members of WISTA Sweden. You will meet a string of Pearls our competent and beautiful Swedish Women in Shipping and Trading! On top of that, you will be meeting most of our sponsors, who will accompany us at the Gala Dinner on Thursday September 15th. 2 The Gala Dinner, which his year will take place on Thursday evening; will be held at the Vasa Museum! Nowhere in the world is there a ship like famous warship VASA, built in the early 17th century and preserved in the Vasa Museum. Every year, more than a million people come to see the shipwreck which has become such a sensation and right there we will enjoy food, beverage, speeches, friendship and some dancing too. You can see the entire programme at but we will be highlighting various parts in each Newsletter from now on. This time we would like you to note that we are continuing our discussions on Women on Board with a workshop of females with experience from working in Board rooms, don t miss out on that workshop!
