1 Halifax Public Libraries performance highlights & trends This document provides Halifax Public Libraries annual performance measures with a comparative analysis to past years as well as an analysis in relation to the resources/input measures of open hours, collections and funding which facilitate this performance. June 2014

The new system creates easier, faster check outs as RFID tags allow up to five items to be scanned simultaneously rather than one at a time. Outreach Service Circulation: Borrow by Mail: 12,573 (+5.9% over ) Home Delivery: 44,722 (+5.8%) Youth Outreach: 3,004 (+3.5%)

The program creates an opportunity for staff to have positive interactions with teens. They earned 312 rubber ducks and $1, in fine reductions. 60 teens had their cards unblocked and can now resume borrowing. 69 teens reduced their fines to zero with this program.
