4 What is PHA? The Panhellenic Association (PHA) is the student-run government body of the 16 Panhellenic sororities present at Ohio State. Our Mission As members of fraternities and sororities at The Ohio State University, we are committed to ensuring our success as students and invested partners in our organizations through celebrating friendship, leadership, scholarship, service, and social development while appreciating the diversity of our member organizations.

Alpha Chi Omega Alpha Epsilon Phi Alpha Gamma Delta Alpha Omicron Pi Alpha Xi Delta Alpha Phi Chi Omega Delta Delta Delta Delta Gamma Delta Zeta Kappa Delta Kappa Alpha Theta Kappa Kappa Gamma Pi Beta Phi Alpha Sigma Upsilon (agriculture) and Phi Sigma Rho (engineering) will not be participating in formal recruitment.
8 How do you know if you r e el igibl e? 12 college credit hours 2.5 grade point average, minimum* *Please note, most chapters also have their own minimum GPA required for membership. **You must also register online, available tonight! (ONLY IF YOU ARE PARTICIPATING IN FORMAL RECRUITMENT)
9 How much does being in a Sor or ity cost? Average costs for all 14 chapters: new member quarter expenses *in-house quarterly expenses out-of-house quarterly expenses $728 $2184 $555 *Most chapters have a live-in requirement! Some chapters offer financial assistance.
10 What ar e t he l eader ship opport unit ies? Each chapter has its own leadership opportunities including positions on the executive board, and various chairmanships. These include roles such as President, VP Recruitment, VP New Member Education, VP Community Service, VP Philanthropy, Sisterhood chair, Social chair, Greek Events chair, Fine Arts chair, PHA delegate, and so much more! *All these positions provide members the opportunity to develop their leadership abilities and gain valuable skills that can be used throughout college and in the work place.

13 Intr oduct ion Round January 9th First official round of formal recruitment. Mix and mingle with women from all 14 sororities. Slowly begin to narrow your list of potential organizations to join.
14 Open House Round January 10th Second round. Visit up to 10 chapters. Take a tour of their chapter facilities.
15 Philanthr opy Round January 16th Third round. Visit up to 6 chapters. Participate in a project benefiting the philanthropic organizations of each chapter. Chance to learn about the chapter s many philanthropy and service opportunities.
16 Prefer ence Round January 17t h Final round. Visit up to 3 chapters. Learn about the rituals and traditions of each chapter.

30 National Pan-Hellenic Council
31 What is NPHC? National Pan-Hellenic Council established in May 10, 1930 Historically African American organizations focused on uplifting the African American community through service and educational programs. Primary purpose and focus of member organizations remains community awareness and action through educational, economic, and cultural service activities. A lifetime commitment to the goals and ideals of each respective organization is stressed. The council s purpose is to promote unity and expose members to the service for life philosophy and foster leadership development and scholarship.
