4 Chapter Two-Cause and Effect We are going to learn about cause and effect. An effect is what happens. A cause is why that happened. Here are the questions you can ask yourself when you think about cause and effect. To find the effect: What happened? To find the cause: Why did that happen? Here is an example: My bike has a flat tire. I ran over a nail. Cause: I ran over a nail. Effect: My bike has a flat tire. See if you can answer the question below: 1.
