Accommodation fee in hotels increased by 12.9% compared to 2013, similar to the commercial accommodation average. Of these, domestic accommodation fee grew by 17.7%, and foreign accommodation fee by 11.6%. Domestic accommodation fee increased above average at boarding houses (+28.5%), bungalows (+26.7%) and fourstar hotels (+26.6%). Accommodation fee per guest night was 7,763 HUF at commercial accommodation, and 9,106 HUF in hotels. The data for wellness hotels are not published by HCSO since Spa hotels have a share of 3.0% of bed places offered by the commercial accommodation establishments. 5.9% of guests arrive at these facilities which means a share of 8.3% of guest nights. 6.3% of domestic arrivals and 7.5% of domestic guest nights are registered at the spa hotels. Health tourism is an important motivation also for international travellers: spa hotels receive 5.3% of arrivals and 9.0% of guest nights. In spa hotels, 44.8% of the guest nights are generated by domestic travellers. The average length of stay at spa hotels is above the commercial accommodation average. The international importance of the capital is highlighted by the fact that Budapest has a share of 65.6% of international guests, and a share of 58.4% of international guest nights.
