1 Year Subject Selection Preference Form All Year 10 students will need to study English and Maths as Core year-long subjects. At least two Humanities and at least one Science Core semester-based subjects are to be chosen. The rest (up to five elective subjects) will be based on student choice. This may include one VET or VCE Units 1 & 2 sequence (for students who receive a College invitation). Subject selection will be contingent on rigorous student counselling and teacher recommendations. Details regarding subject offerings and selection requirements can be found in the Senior School Subject Handbook. Students should nominate their subject choices, in order of preference (where 1 = highest priority). Year 10 electives, especially languages, should be listed as a higher preference to Units 1 & 2 subjects. Students who qualify and nominate to study a VCE subject should also nominate a VCE subject as a reserve.
