10 2.5. Test Procedure The measurement is performed using normal operation of the equipment with test modulation applied. The test procedure is as follows: step 1: - Using a suitable means, the output of the transmitter shall be coupled to a matched diode detector; - The output of the diode detector shall be connected to the vertical channel of an oscilloscope. - The combination of the diode detector and the oscilloscope shall be capable of faithfully reproducing the envelope peaks and the duty cycle of the transmitter output signal. - The observed duty cycle of the transmitter (Tx on/(tx on +Tx off)) shall be noted as x, (0 < x < 1) and recorded. For the purpose of testing, the equipment shall be operated with a duty cycle that is equal to or more than 0,1. step 2: - The average output power of the transmitter shall be determined using a wideband, calibrated RF power meter with a matched thermocouple detector or an equivalent thereof and, where applicable, with an integration period that exceeds the repetition period of the transmitter by a factor 5 or more. The observed value shall be recorded as "A" (in dbm). - The e.i.r.p. shall be calculated from the above measured power output A, the observed duty cycle x, and the applicable antenna assembly gain "G" in dbi, according to the formula: P = A + G + 10 log (1/x); P shall be recorded in the test report. 16 4.5. Test Procedure The EUT and its simulators are placed on a turn table which is 1.5 meters above ground. The turn table can rotate 360 degrees to determine the position of the maximum emission level. The EUT was positioned such that the distance from antenna to the EUT was 3 meters.the antenna can move up and down between 1 meter and 4 meters to find out the maximum emission level. Broadband antenna (calibrated bi-log and horn antenna) are used as a receiving antenna. Both horizontal and vertical polarization of the antenna are set on measurement. And a high frequency preamlifier were used increase the sensitivity of the measuring. In order to find the maximum emission, all of the interface cables must be manipulated according to ETSI EN V1.5.1 ( ) on radiated measurement. The additional notch filter below 1GHz was used to measure the level of harmonics radiated emission during field strength of harmonics measurement. frequency range from 30MHz to 26GHz is checked and bandwidth reference 3.4 limit 4.6.
