The two latter differences are well marked in young specimens (7-12 mm long) and are practically absent in larger individuals (19-27) mm long). True, even in the typical individuals the young specimens have a narrower 6 th segment in pereopods I and relatively longer rami in the uropods than do the adults. However, in them the agedependent changes are not manifest as sharply as in L. loveni antartica. Sex attributes: Dimorphic Male: 1 st antenna well developed, female: 1 st antenna reduced.
