1 BALLYGLUNIN TIMES THE GALWAY-BALLYGLUNIN FAVOURITE NEWSPAPER -SINCE WELCOME TO IRELAND The trip from Madrid to Dublin started early and the students arrived at 3 p.m. to Ballyglunin Sports Corofin win the final At 8:35 p.m. the school from Arroyomolinos (Madrid) arrived at Barajas Airport. The flight departed at 10:35 and arrived at 12:10 p.m to Terminal 2. The last part of the trip was by bus and it was long but finally we got Ballyglunin on time. The week was fantastic and our students have made new friends at their schools. This year there are 21 students, 18 in Ballyglunin and 3 with Irish families. 2 BALLYGLUNIN TIMES - 1ST WEEK Page 2 INTERNATIONAL ARENALES DISCOVER IRELAND Hugo Garrido Arévalo Jorge Gómez Gómez THE Dublin Airport The trip from madrid to galway was very long time, but funny: In the morning we go to the school and after go in the bus to the airport. In the airport,we get up to the plane and the plane s flying to Dublin. During the flight, we drank a cocacola and many persons drink a soft drink called fruitshoot. The flight attendant only spoke in English and we have to speak English with she. The land down was very funny and a bit scared. We went to Galway by bus. I want to say I enjoyed the trip to Ireland! BALLYGLUNIN HOUSE José María Andreu Ajenjo Adrián Zamorano Valero The dining-room is in the down floor and it very beautiful and confortable, there are many tables and many chairs and we can eat with many space and all together as a huge family. The living-room is very nice, because is big and we can watch many films and play many games in the evening. The rooms are very small, there have two or three beds per one room, only one room of all is very big (these room have private bathroom). However, the rest of the rooms are very good in general with lots of furniture to keep on the clothes. Mr. Jhon s classroom is brown and is very big. It has tables and chairs. The computers room have a corridor to a room where Mr. Angel do language and his classroom have a circle table. The garden it is extremely big, there are two football and one volleyball fields. Also you can see trees everywhere and a river crossing next to the house.

Martín Saldaña Chamorro Miguel Rodríguez Hernández The Gaelic football match was very good, Corofinne won the final against another team, the name was salthill. In this sport the goals are very big, they are like the rugby mix with football, when you re go to score a goal like football with your feet inside the goals area you score three points but when you score in the rugby goal get one. One person of the team broke his arm during the match and the medical assistant was helped the gaelic football player to get out to the field. On the right hand we have another people encourage to the another team, Salthill. Corifin play better than Salthill from the beginning to the end of the match. In this school we play Gaelic football. In our area there ir a famous team is COROFIN. In Belclare School we are 5 students from Arenales School, they are: Andrés, Horacio, Fran, Raúl and Gabriel. The school has two fields, one is for the soccer and the other is for Gaelic football. They haven t got Physical Education because we have hurling, We like this school because is the main school in this region. In the class there are boys and girls for fifth and sixth primary education. CASTLEHACKET Alejandro Trabadillo Sánchez Antonio J. Casado Checa This is our school in Ireland, we are Alejandro, Antonio and Diego. It has got a very big Gaelic football field. We have a nice teacher and the classroom is mixing with 4th, 5th and 6th of primary school. In the first playground we have a 30 minutes and in the second 2 hours. We go in a microbus, and the driver go very fast to the school. We have a teacher that speak Spanish. We are very happy to be in this school. CORRANDRUM Iván Barroso Serrano Damián Climent Requena The school have one floor. There are differents classes: the infants, the puppils and the seniors. We are in the senior s class. Also have one gym is very bigger And two soccer field and one soccer basketball too. the irish children play with us to the football, rugby and basket in the determinate place in the school and also they speak with us of the someone things of spain that we interesting and this children read very quickly. The teachers of the school is very good because you speak very well for us learn more quickly. However, someone teacher is very bad because he speak very bad. Always they pay attention us at the first time. We are in 5 th and 6 th Hugo Garrido, Iván Barroso and José María Andreu, and in the 3th and 4 th Damián Climent, Jorge Gómez and Adrián Zamorano. Them I love this school.

We are 18, and Mr. Angel did different teams. The teams are very good in general. We are going to be playing all the time. Before we was someone activities for acquire some skills and competences that we need to pass for be a swat. The activities are different: resistances, strong, aim, speak in English, speed and behavior points. We have started already and all the teams are prepared. There are six teams which have the same names of places around Ireland. We would like to get a lot of points because we are going to change it the next weekend for prices. THE RAILWAY STATION Horacio Laprea Lira Diego Garrido Arévalo We go to the railway station by walk. In the way we see some horses, cows and cowhorses, it is na animal mix between cow and horse, it looks like a fat, strong horse with ubbers. We eat blackberries on the way and we see some ponies. Also we played some games in the railway station. One of the most interesting things it was that in this place Hollywood made a film with John Wayne as the main actor. We went walking and sitting in the railway, we read the posters about the history of this place. It was a very interesting journey.
