3 A N N E X U R E A Sl. No. Specification of Material 1. Bentonite Drilling Mud consisting of finely pulverized Bentonite/ gel forming clay suitable for water well drilling and should confirm to following specifications : i. Density : Density of liquid after mixing 30 gram of dry drilling Mud powder in 500 cc of water should be 1030 Kgs to 1080 Kgs per cubic meter. ii. Setting Property : 30 grams of drilling mud powder in 500 cc of water will be allowed to settle. After 24 hours the suspended solid shall occupy not less than 90% of the liquid volume. iii. Gel Strength : After mixing 30 gram of drilling mud powder in 500 cc of water and mixing with stirrer at rpm difference in time taken for fluid to pass through marsh funnel before and after resting 10 minutes ( the later should be more ) Should not less than 0.25 second. iv. Sand content : 0 to 5% ( Zero to five percent) by weight. v. Colloidal properties : Thickness of the mud cake formed with fluid of 30 grams of Drilling Mud in 500 cc of water will be 5 mm to 8 mm. vi. Packing & Marking : The Bentonite power should be supplied in water proof resistance standard H.D.P.E. new Bags. Each bag should contain 40/50 Kgs. of Bentonite powder. EXECUTIVE ENGINEER Page No-02

4 TERMS AND CONDITIONS: 1. The tender should be properly sealed superscripted with Tender for Bentonite Drilling Mud and Date of Opening: 20/09/ The tender should accompany an Earnest Money 2.5 % of the offered value) deposited by Demand Draft in favour of the Executive Engineer, Division -V, Ranchi, payable at SBI Main Branch Doranda, Ranchi (Jharkhand) or exemption copy of certificate may be enclosed. Otherwise tender will be rejected. 3. Tenderers must submit list of Customers/ Departments of whom Bentonite Mud is being supplied. The photocopy of Supply order should be enclosed for showing their credentiallity in the field. 4. Any Conditional tenders, incomplete tenders and any tender not complying to the terms and conditions, specifications etc as mentioned in the tender, will be summarily rejected. 5. The complete filled-up tenders send by post or delivered personally and may drop in tender box in the office & will be accepted up to hrs. of 20/09/2013 and will be opened at hrs. on the same day and place in presence of tenderers or their authorized representative if any. In any case the last date of receipt of tender happen to be holiday/closed day due to Bandh etc., the tender will be received and opened at the same time and place on next working day. The Executive Engineer, CGWB, Division-V,Ranchi is not Responsible for postal delay or any other reason whatsoever it may Be for non-receipt of tender in due time and date, and all such late receipt tender will be rejected straightly. 6. Rate should be quoted FOR Divisional Store Ranchi. Any tender which had not quoted FOR Ranchi will be rejected. 7. Rate should be quoted both in figure and words, any cutting should be initiated by the tenderer, and no over writing shall be allowed. Rates should be valid for minimum 180 days. 8. Warranty/Guaranty should be clearly mentioned. 9. Rate should be quoted in prescribed column and rows of tender form. All the pages of Tender document should be signed affixing their seal by the tenderers having accepted the terms and condition. 10. Taxes as applicable to central Government department including toll tax/sale tax should be clearly Stated. 11. The supplier will be responsible for the supplied material and specification as per tender and defective material if found will be rejected and will be returned to supplier at his risk and cost. 12. In case, if successful tenderer fails to supply the material of the said specification within stipulated time, the earnest money deposited by the tender\bidder shall be forfeited The Executive Engineer reserves the right to increase/decrease the quantity and to accept/reject any or all the tenders without assigning any reason thereof & reserve to postpone the date of opening of tender without assigning any reason thereof. 14. The tender shall remain open for acceptance for a period of 180 days from the date of opening of tenders. If any tenderer withdraw his tender before the said period or makes any modifications in the terms and conditions of tender which are not acceptable to the department, the government shall without prejudice to any right or remedy be at liberty to forfeit the said EMD absolutely. 15. Any dispute if arises will have to be settled as per Government of India rules and it will be settled within Jurisdiction of Ranchi only.
