Who will provide your care? Montefiore Urgent Care is staffed by skilled health professionals, including board certified physicians, nurses, and other support personnel. You will receive the highest quality care in a comfortable, supportive environment. Montefiore Urgent Care is open 7 days a week, including most holidays, to provide prompt medical attention.
4 When to go to the emergency room? For serious or life threatening situations, or if you are unsure of where to seek services, call 911 or go to the hospital emergency department. Typical illnesses and injuries that should be treated in the emergency room include: Coughing up or vomiting blood Fractured or broken bones Major injury or burns Poisoning, call Poison Control Severe shortness of breath Signs of heart attack, including chest pain Signs of stroke, such as blurred vision, slurred speech Suicidal or homicidal feelings Uncontrolled pain or bleeding When to contact your primary care provider? You should contact your regular physician for annual physicals, insurance referrals, medication refills, backto-work clearance or other routine health matters. We recommend that you follow up with your primary care provider on all services you receive through Urgent Care.
