3 The new hybrid block was designed to allow the spreader truck to be more flexible, precise and to allow the operator an increased comfort of operation. The compact design of the hybrid block reduces installation costs by decreasing space. The electronic system uses a digitalized communication CAN with J1939 protocol to transmit the signals of the lever functions (joystick) towards the hybrid block. The system is built to allow operation using a fixed pump, a double pump with fixed capacity or a variable pump with pressure compensation, and an option for load sensing. 3

4 Hybrid Block A single design joining together all the functions of a spreader truck for simple to elaborate operations! The block is drilled out of anodic aluminum and is compatible with fixed (simple and double) and variable pumps (pressure compensated and load sensing ) Spreader functions are isolated from the accessories of the truck with the use of a fixed double pump. The accessories of the truck (plow, wing, etc) are activated via a sectional valve. The latter could be personalized according to the number of necessary accessories and the flow and the pressure of each accessory. Each section can be activated manually (emergency mode). The activation of the dump-hoist cylinder combines the 2 fixed pumps for more speed. All the electrical connections of the block are made with Deutsch connectors in order to ensure an optimal protection against the elements. 4

5 Control System The control system uses a joystick which transmits the information received by the operator to the micro-controller. The operator will activate a specific function according to the button and the axis of inclination of the lever. The base of the joystick can be with one axis or two axes according to the application. The buttons are an excellent size in order to ensure easy access to the operator to carry out the desired functions. The lever has a safety trigger to avoid carrying out a nonintentional movement of the operator The information received by the the micro-controller is transmitted to an expansion module which transfers the signals to the electric actuators of the hydraulic block. 5

9 Additional information The system is supplied with the wiring for the connection of these components. A directional valve can be provided as an option and is assembled directly on the block in order to allow the operation of the hydraulic motor of the conveyer to be bidirectional.
