1 FRU 01 Computer Cover Removal: Computer Cover 1) Remove two retaining screws. 2) Press the Computer Cover release button and hold it in. 3) Pull the cover towards the rear and pivot upwards to remove it. Replacement: Computer Cover 1) Place the cover on the chassis. 2) Push it forward to latch it into place. 3) Install the two retaining screws.

2 FRU 02 Front Bezel Removal: Front Bezel Before removing the Front Bezel, remove the following FRUs: 1) Gently pull outward on the tabs to unlatch the Front Bezel from the chassis. 2) Pivot the Front Bezel outward until the hinges are clear. Replacement: Front Bezel 1) Align the hinges on the Front Bezel with the openings in the chassis. 2) Insert the hinges and pivot the Front Bezel inward until the tabs snap into place.

3 FRU 03 Optical Drive Removal: Optical Drive Before removing the Optical Drive, remove the following FRUs: 1. Computer Cover 2. Front Bezel 3. Open Drive Bay Assembly After removing the Computer Cover, perform the following steps: 1) Press the Drive Bay Assembly release latch. 2) Pivot the Drive Bay Assembly upward until it locks into the open position. 3) Disconnect the Power Cable. 4) Disconnect the SATA Cable. 5) Lift the Optical Drive out of the Drive Bay Assembly. Replacement: Optical Drive 1) Slide the Optical Drive into Bay. 2) Connect the SATA Cable. 3) Install the power cables into the power cable clip on the drive bay assembly. 4) Connect the Power Cable. 5) Press inward on the latch and pivot the drive bay assembly down into the chassis until it locks into position.

4 FRU 04 Hard Disk Drive Removal: Hard Disk Drive Before removing the Hard Disk Drive, remove the following FRUs: 2. Open Drive Bay Assembly 1) Press the Drive Bay Assembly release latch. 2) Pivot the Drive Bay Assembly upward until it locks into the open position. 3) Disconnect the Power Cable. 4) Disconnect the SATA Cable. 5) Use the blue Hard Drive Bracket handle to pull the Hard Disk Drive out of the Drive Bay Assembly. 6) Pull the edges of the Hard Drive Bracket outward to remove it from the Hard Disk Drive. 7) Repeat the process for a second hard drive if needed. 8) To remove the second hard drive mount, remove a single retaining screw. 9) Slide the mount to the left to free it from the clips. Replacement: Hard Disk Drive 1) Align the pins on the Hard Drive Bracket with the holes of the Hard Disk Drive and insert them. 2) Slide the Hard Disk Drive into the Drive Bay Assembly. 3) Connect the SATA Cable. 4) Connect the Power Cable. 5) Press inward on the latch and pivot the drive bay assembly down into the chassis until it locks into position.

5 FRU 05 Cooling Shroud Removal: Cooling Shroud Before removing the Cooling Shroud, remove the following FRUs: 1) Pull the tabs outward 2) Lift the Cooling Shroud up and off of the Heat Sink. Replacement: Cooling Shroud 1) Align the Cooling Shroud with the Heat Sink. 2) Press the Cooling Shroud down onto the Heat Sink until it snaps into position.

6 FRU 06 Memory Module Removal: Memory Modules Before removing the Memory Module, remove the following FRUs: 2. Cooling Shroud 1) Press the memory slot retaining clips outward. 2) Grasp the edges of the Memory Module and gently pull it from the memory slot. Replacement: Memory Modules 1) Position the Memory Module over the memory slot, using the notch for alignment. 2) Gently push the Memory Module straight down into the slot until the retaining clips close. 3) Repeat if necessary.

7 FRU 07 CMOS Battery Removal: CMOS Battery Before removing the CMOS Battery, remove the following FRUs: 2. Cooling Shroud 1) Press the release latch to the side until the CMOS Battery is released. 2) Remove the CMOS Battery from the socket. Replacement: CMOS Battery 1) Press the CMOS Battery positive side up into the socket until it locks into place.

8 FRU 08 Microprocessor Fan Removal: Microprocessor Fan Before removing the Heat Microprocessor Fan, remove the following FRUs: 2. Cooling Shroud 1) Disconnect the Microprocessor Fan power cable from the System Board. 2) Remove the four retaining screws. 3) Remove the Microprocessor Fan grill. 4) Using a thin Philips screwdriver, remove the four retaining screws. 5) Lift the Microprocessor Fan off of the Heatsink. Replacement: Microprocessor Fan 1) Place the Microprocessor Fan into position, carefully lining up the screw holes. 2) Using a thin, Philips screwdriver, install the four retaining screws. 3) Align the holes in the Microprocessor Fan Grill with the holes in the Microprocessor Fan. 4) Insert the four retaining screws. 5) Connect the Microprocessor Fan power cable to the system board.

9 FRU 09 Heat Sink Assembly Removal: Heat Sink Assembly Before removing the Heat Sink, remove the following FRUs: 2. Cooling Shroud 1) Disconnect the Microprocessor Fan power cable from the system board. 2) Using a cross pattern, loosen the captive screws. 3) Lift the Heat Sink from the Microprocessor and out of the chassis. Replacement: Heat Sink Assembly 1) Place the Heat Sink into position, carefully lining up the screws with the screw holes on the Systemboard. 2) Using a cross pattern, tighten the captive screws. 3) Connect the Microprocessor fan power cable to the systemboard.

10 FRU 10 Microprocessor Removal: Microprocessor Before removing the Microprocessor, remove the following FRUs: 2. Cooling Shroud 3. Heat Sink 1) Press the Microprocessor release latch down, and then outward. 2) Lift the Microprocessor door and pivot it back. 3) Grasp the Microprocessor by the edges and carefully lift it out of the Microprocessor Socket. Replacement: Microprocessor 1) Align the triangle markings of the Microprocessor with the Microprocessor socket. 2) Close the Microprocessor door. 3) Press the Microprocessor release latch down and inward to lock the Microprocessor into the socket.

11 FRU 11 Power Cables Removal: Power Cables Before removing the Power Cables, remove the following FRUs: 2. Optical Drive 3. Cooling Shroud 1) Disconnect the power Cables from the Systemboard. 2) Open the cable clip and remove the cables. 3) Remove the Power Cables from the chassis. Replacement: Power Cables 1) Connect the Power Cables to the Systemboard. 2) Install the Power Cables into the Power Cable Clip on the Drive Bay Assembly.

12 FRU 12 Power Supply Removal: Power Supply Before removing the Power Supply, remove the following FRUs: 2. Cooling Shroud 3. Open drive bay assembly 1) Disconnect the four pin power cable form the systemboard. 2) Disconnect the fourteen pin power cable from the systemboard. 3) Remove the three retaining screws. 4) Press the release tab and slide the Power Supply out. 5) Lift it out of the chassis. Replacement: Power Supply 1) Place the Power Supply into the chassis. 2) Using the clips for alignment, slide the Power Supply until it locks into position. 3) Install the three retaining screws. 4) Connect the fourteen pin power cable to the Systemboard. 5) Connect the four pin power cable to the Systemboard.

13 FRU 13 Intrusion Switch Removal: Intrusion Switch Before removing the Intrusion Switch, remove the following FRUs: 1) Disconnect the intrusion switch cable from the system board. 2) Lift the locking clip to disconnect the switch. 3) Uninstall the cable out from the mounting hole Replacement: Intrusion Switch 1) Feed the intrusion switch cable in through its corresponding mounting hole. 2) Press the release latch to raise the drive bay assembly out of the way. 3) Connect the cable to the System Board. 4) Press inward on the latch and pivot the Drive Bay Assembly down into the chassis until it locks into position. 5) Insert the intrusion switch button into the hole and press to secure the locking clip.

14 FRU 14 Drive Bay Assembly Removal: Drive Bay Assembly Before removing the Drive Bay Assembly, remove the following FRUs: 1. Computer Cover 2. Optical Drive 3. Hard Disk Drive 1) Press the Drive Bay Assembly release latch. 2) Pivot the Drive Bay Assembly upward until it locks into the open position. 3) Carefully pull outward on the edge of the chassis to release the Drive Bay Assembly. Replacement: Drive Bay Assembly 1) Align the pin on the Drive Bay assembly with the hole in the chassis. 2) Carefully pull outward on the edge of the chassis. 3) Lower the pin into position until it is aligned with the hole. 4) Press inward on the latch and pivot the Drive Bay Assembly down into the chassis until it locks into position.

15 FRU 15 System Fan Removal: System Fan Before removing the Front Fan Assembly remove the following FRUs: 2. Open Drive Bay Assembly 3. Front bezel 1) Open the cable clip and remove the Front Fan Assembly power cable. 2) Disconnect the Front Fan Assembly power cable from the systemboard. 3) Gently pull on the tip of the rubber mount until it can be removed from the hole. 4) Repeat for each rubber mount. 5) Remove the Front Fan Assembly from the chassis. Replacement: System Fan 1) Align the rubber mounts with the correct holes in the chassis. 2) Pull the tip of the rubber mount through the hole until it snaps into place. 3) Repeat for each rubber mount. 4) Connect the Front Fan power cable to the systemboard.

16 FRU 16 Power Switch Removal: Power Switch Before removing the Power Switch, remove the following FRUs: 2. Open Drive Bay Assembly 3. Front bezel 1) Disconnect the Power Switch cable from the systemboard. 2) Open the cable clip. 3) Press the Power Switch clip inward to release the power switch from the chassis. Replacement: Power Switch 1) Place the Power Switch cable into the cable clip. 2) Align the Power Switch with the opening in the chassis. 3) Press the clip until it snaps securely into the chassis. 4) Connect the Power Switch cable to the Systemboard.

17 FRU 17 Front Audio/USB Assembly Removal: Front Audio/USB Assembly Before removing the Front USB/Audio remove the following FRUs: 2. Open Drive Bay Assembly 3. Front bezel 1) Disconnect the Front Audio/USB Assembly cables from the systemboard. 2) Open the cable clip and remove the Front Audio/USB Assembly cables. 3) Remove the single retaining screw. 4) Lift the Front Audio/USB Assembly until it is released from the chassis. 5) Pull the cable through the chassis and remove it. Replacement: Front Audio/USB Assembly 1) Feed the Front Audio/USB cables through the opening in the chassis. 2) Align the Front Audio/USB Assembly with the opening. 3) Hook the clip into place and slide it downward to secure it. 4) Install the single retaining screw. 5) Place the Front Audio/USB cable in the cable clip. 6) Close the cable clip and snap it shut. 7) Connect the Front USB cable to the system board. 8) Connect the Front Audio cable to the system board.

18 FRU 18 Speaker Removal: Speaker Before removing the Speaker remove the following FRUs: 2. Open Drive Bay Assembly 1) Disconnect the Speaker cable from the system board. 2) Press the Speaker clip and slide the Speaker up and out of the chassis. Replacement: Speaker 1) Align the Speaker with Speaker clip in the chassis. 2) Slide the Speaker downward into the slot until it clips into place. 3) Connect the Speaker cable to the Systemboard.

19 FRU 19 System Board Removal: System Board Before removing the Systemboard remove the following FRUs: 2. Open Drive Bay Assembly 3. Memory Modules 4. Cooling Shroud 5. Heatsink Assembly 6. Microprocessor 1) Make sure all cables are disconnected from the system board. 2) Remove the eight retaining screws. 3) Using the edge of the systemboard, lift and remove the systemboard from the chassis. Replacement: System Board 1) Align the System board with the openings in the Rear I/O panel and the screw holes in the chassis. 2) Install the eight retaining screws.

20 CRU FRU 02 Front Bezel Removal: Front Bezel 1) Remove two retaining screws. (at the rear of the computer cover) 2) Press the Computer Cover release button and hold it in. 3) Pull the cover towards the rear and pivot upwards to remove it. 4) Gently pull outward on the tabs to unlatch the Front Bezel from the chassis. 5) Pivot the Front Bezel outward until the hinges are clear. Replacement: Front Bezel 1) Align the hinges on the Front Bezel with the openings in the chassis. 2) Insert the hinges and pivot the Front Bezel inward until the tabs snap into place. 3) Place the cover on the chassis. 4) Push it forward to latch it into place. 5) Install the two retaining screws.

21 FRU 03 Optical Drive Removal: Optical Drive 1) Remove two retaining screws. (at the rear of the computer cover) 2) Press the Computer Cover release button and hold it in. 3) Pull the cover towards the rear and pivot upwards to remove it. 4) Gently pull outward on the tabs to unlatch the Front Bezel from the chassis. 5) Pivot the Front Bezel outward until the hinges are clear. 6) Press the Drive Bay Assembly release latch. 7) Pivot the Drive Bay Assembly upward until it locks into the open position. 8) Disconnect the Power Cable. 9) Disconnect the SATA Cable. 10) Lift the Optical Drive out of the Drive Bay Assembly. Replacement: Optical Drive 1) Slide the Optical Drive into Bay. 2) Connect the SATA Cable. 3) Install the power cables into the power cable clip on the drive bay assembly. 4) Connect the Power Cable. 5) Press inward on the latch and pivot the drive bay assembly down into the chassis until it locks into position. 6) Align the hinges on the Front Bezel with the openings in the chassis. 7) Insert the hinges and pivot the Front Bezel inward until the tabs snap into place. 8) Place the cover on the chassis. 9) Push it forward to latch it into place. 10) Install the two retaining screws.

22 FRU 04 Hard Disk Drive Removal: Hard Disk Drive 1) Remove two retaining screws. (at the rear of the computer cover) 2) Press the Computer Cover release button and hold it in. 3) Pull the cover towards the rear and pivot upwards to remove it. 4) Press the Drive Bay Assembly release latch. 5) Pivot the Drive Bay Assembly upward until it locks into the open position. 6) Disconnect the Power Cable. 7) Disconnect the SATA Cable. 8) Use the blue Hard Drive Bracket handle to pull the Hard Disk Drive out of the Drive Bay Assembly. 9) Pull the edges of the Hard Drive Bracket outward to remove it from the Hard Disk Drive. 10) Repeat the process for a second hard drive if needed. 11) To remove the second hard drive mount, remove a single retaining screw. 12) Slide the mount to the left to free it from the clips. Replacement: Hard Disk Drive 1) Align the pins on the Hard Drive Bracket with the holes of the Hard Disk Drive and insert them. 2) Slide the Hard Disk Drive into the Drive Bay Assembly. 3) Connect the SATA Cable. 4) Connect the Power Cable. 5) Press inward on the latch and pivot the drive bay assembly down into the chassis until it locks into position. 6) Place the cover on the chassis. 7) Push it forward to latch it into place. 8) Install the two retaining screws.

23 FRU 05 Cooling Shroud Removal: Cooling Shroud 1) Remove two retaining screws. (at the rear of the computer cover) 2) Press the Computer Cover release button and hold it in. 3) Pull the cover towards the rear and pivot upwards to remove it. 4) Pull the tabs outward. (of the cooling shroud) 5) Lift the Cooling Shroud up and off of the Heat Sink. Replacement: Cooling Shroud 1) Align the Cooling Shroud with the Heat Sink. 2) Press the Cooling Shroud down onto the Heat Sink until it snaps into position. 3) Place the cover on the chassis. 4) Push it forward to latch it into place. 5) Install the two retaining screws.

24 FRU 06 Memory Module Removal: Memory Modules 1) Remove two retaining screws. (at the rear of the computer cover) 2) Press the Computer Cover release button and hold it in. 3) Pull the cover towards the rear and pivot upwards to remove it. 4) Press the memory slot retaining clips outward. 5) Grasp the edges of the Memory Module and gently pull it from the memory slot. Replacement: Memory Modules 1) Position the Memory Module over the memory slot, using the notch for alignment. 2) Gently push the Memory Module straight down into the slot until the retaining clips close. 3) Repeat if necessary. 4) Place the cover on the chassis. 5) Push it forward to latch it into place. 6) Install the two retaining screws.

25 Removal: CMOS Battery 1) Remove two retaining screws. (at the rear of the computer cover) 2) Press the Computer Cover release button and hold it in. 3) Pull the cover towards the rear and pivot upwards to remove it. 4) Press the release latch to the side until the CMOS Battery is released. 5) Remove the CMOS Battery from the socket. Replacement: CMOS Battery 1) Press the CMOS Battery positive side up into the socket until it locks into place. 2) Place the cover on the chassis. 3) Push it forward to latch it into place. 4) Install the two retaining screws.

26 Removal: Intrusion Switch 1) Remove two retaining screws. (at the rear of the computer cover) 2) Press the Computer Cover release button and hold it in. 3) Pull the cover towards the rear and pivot upwards to remove it. 4) Disconnect the intrusion switch cable from the system board. 5) Lift the locking clip to disconnect the switch. 6) Uninstall the cable out from the mounting hole Replacement: Intrusion Switch 1) Feed the intrusion switch cable in through its corresponding mounting hole. 2) Press the release latch to raise the drive bay assembly out of the way. 3) Connect the cable to the System Board. 4) Press inward on the latch and pivot the Drive Bay Assembly down into the chassis until it locks into position. 5) Insert the intrusion switch button into the hole and press to secure the locking clip. 6) Place the cover on the chassis. 7) Push it forward to latch it into place. 8) Install the two retaining screws.

27 Removal: Speaker 1) Remove two retaining screws. (at the rear of the computer cover) 2) Press the Computer Cover release button and hold it in. 3) Pull the cover towards the rear and pivot upwards to remove it. 4) Disconnect the Speaker cable from the system board. 5) Press the Speaker clip and slide the Speaker up and out of the chassis. Replacement: Speaker 1) Align the Speaker with Speaker clip in the chassis. 2) Slide the Speaker downward into the slot until it clips into place. 3) Connect the Speaker cable to the System board. 4) Place the cover on the chassis. 5) Push it forward to latch it into place. 6) Install the two retaining screws.
