1 CHRISTCHURCH CITY COUNCIL (NZ CUP AND SHOW WEEK), AIR NEW ZEALAND & PACIFIC RESORT HOTEL GROUP PROMOTION TERMS & CONDITIONS 1. PROMOTION SUMMARY 1.1 The Promotion allows the winning entrant ( Winner ) to win a return trip for two people from either Auckland, Wellington or Christchurch to Rarotonga flying Air New Zealand Economy Class and staying five nights at a Beachfront Suite at Pacific Resort Rarotonga ( Prize ). 1.2 Information on how to enter and the Prize form part of these Terms and Conditions. By participating, entrants agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. 2. HOW TO ENTER 2.1 Participants may enter the Promotion by purchasing a New Zealand Cup and Show Week ticket any time between 12:00 am on Thursday 1 September 2016 and pm on Friday 30 September 2016 ( Promotion Period ). 2.2 To be eligible for the prize each participant must purchase a ticket online via to any New Zealand Cup and Show Week event listed on during the Promotion Period. Participants will receive one entry to the Promotion per ticket. 2.3 The following persons are not eligible to enter the Promotion: employees of Christchurch City Council, Air New Zealand and Pacific Resort Hotel Group ( Promoters ) and, associated sponsor(s) and their respective immediate families; employees and any associated sponsor of the New Zealand Cup and Show Week and their immediate families; Any entry in breach of this condition 2.3, including if submitted under another person s name, will be invalid and will be deemed not to have won. 2.4 Participants must be 18 years or over at the time of entry, a resident of New Zealand, hold a passport with minimum six months validity and not have any prior criminal convictions. 3. THE PRIZE 3.1. The Winner will be randomly drawn by computer from all eligible entries received during the Promotion Period The Winner will be advised and confirmed by an to the address provided on entry on Tuesday 4 October Entrants should ensure their contact details are correct at the time of entry. The Promoters take no responsibility for disputes arising as a result of entries submitted by entrants using contact details belonging to another person. If no contact is made with the Winner after 3 attempts, the Promoters may elect, at their sole discretion, to randomly draw by computer a new Winner from all remaining eligible entries The Prize consists of:

2 two (2) Economy Class The Works return flights on Air New Zealand from Auckland to Rarotonga; connecting flights from Wellington/Christchurch domestic airports if required; five (5) nights accommodation at Pacific Resort Rarotonga sharing a Beachfront Suite; and return airport/resort transfers in Rarotonga, daily tropical breakfast at Sandals Restaurant, complimentary use of snorkeling gear and kayaks, (approximate total value of $7,729) The Winner and the Winner s chosen travelling companion ( Companion ) are responsible for and must cover the cost of: airport taxes and New Zealand government charges; visas, passports and any other travel documentation required; transport and associated costs from their residence to or via Wellington/ Christchurch domestic airport or Auckland International Airport for flight departure and from or via Auckland International Airport or Wellington / Christchurch domestic airport to their residence upon returning to New Zealand; accommodation costs associated with travelling between Wellington/Christchurch and Auckland if required; all other expenses related to the Prize, including without limitation taxes, full travel insurance, spending money, food and beverage and any other incidental costs; and (f) any changes to travel dates or additional accommodation outside the Travel Period specified in the Prize details. 3.6 Travel for the Prize must depart during the following period: 01 November May 2017 (excluding the period from 24 December January 2017 ( Travel Period ). 3.7 The Winner and Companion must travel together at all times within the Travel Period. The dates for travel are subject to availability of both the flights and accommodation. The Winner may not get preferred dates particularly around peak school holiday travel times and other public holiday periods. Air New Zealand reserves its right to impose particular flight embargoes during periods of heavy demand as is required commercially from time to time. 4. SPECIFIC RULES 4.1. The Winner and Companion must hold full international travel insurance for the duration of the trip prior to departure from New Zealand If the Winner or Companion has a criminal record and is denied entry into Rarotonga or encounters any visa issues en route, Air New Zealand, Pacific Resort Hotel Group or Christchurch City Council cannot be held responsible or liable in any way.

3 4.3. The Winner must contact Pacific Resort Hotel Group and Air New Zealand to redeem the Prize at least one month in advance of requested travel date and no later than 1 March The provision of air tickets from Air New Zealand is subject to the following conditions: the issuance of tickets is subject to seat and flight availability; no excess baggage waiver will be granted; Economy Class tickets are not upgradable to Business Class unless the Winner wishes to do so at their own expense; travel will only be available on Air New Zealand operated services; and date/time changes are permitted, subject to normal fare/ticket conditions. Changes may result in additional charges, to be met by the Winner As part of the utilisation of travel, the Winner and Companion undertake to: have valid documentation, including but not limited to valid passports and visas, which meet the requirements of Cook Island immigration and other government authorities;; (f) (g) take responsibility to pay any fines, penalties, payments or expenditures incurred as a result of such documents not meeting the requirements of those authorities (including any costs associated with delay; be neatly and appropriately attired when travelling; not carry, on their person, in their luggage or carry-on baggage, any contraband or goods which are prohibited by the laws of either New Zealand or the Cook Islands, or goods which are unsuitable for carriage on a commercial aircraft; observe all directions of Air New Zealand ground staff and air crew at all times; comply with the requirements of immigration and customs authorities in each country; and comply with the laws of the jurisdiction they are visiting Air New Zealand Airpoints cannot be accrued on any of the free or concession travel undertaken for the Prize Charges for excess baggage shall apply where a passenger seeks to carry more than his or her luggage entitlement. The Winner will be liable for these charges Tickets will be valid for the period specified on the ticket. Unused travel at the expiry of the validity period cannot be refunded or re-utilised Tickets are not transferable and must be issued only in the correct name of the person travelling. That person s name will be confirmed with the Promoters as the Winner or his or her Companion.

4 4.10. Accommodation is subject to availability at time the Prize is redeemed. The Prize cannot be combined with any live specials or tactical campaigns in the market place and cannot be booked via any travel professional or travel wholesaler. Additional nights accommodation can be added at the Winner and Companion s expense The Prize is not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be redeemed for cash. The Prize must be taken as stated in these Terms and Conditions and no cash or other compensation will be payable if the Winner is unable to use the Prize as stated. For the avoidance of doubt, if the Winner is, for whatever reason, unable to travel on a nominated date during this period, whether the failure was due to reasons beyond the Winner's control or otherwise, then the Winner will forfeit the Prize. 5. WINNING THE PRIZE 5.1. The Winner accepts the Prize and travels to Rarotonga entirely at his/her own risk To the fullest extent permitted by law, Christchurch City Council, Pacific Resort Hotel Group and Air New Zealand will not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever (including but not limited to direct or consequential loss) or for personal injury as a result of Promotion entry or winning the Prize. The Winner indemnifies Christchurch City Council, Pacific Resort Hotel Group and Air New Zealand and their respective officers and employees in respect of any claim for any accident, injury, property damage or loss of life, whether suffered or incurred by the Winner or the Companion, in connection with the Prize The Promoters make no representation as to safety, conditions and other issues that may exist at any destination. International travel advice can be obtained from various sources, including government, local consular offices and the web site of the New Zealand Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade All travel and accommodation is subject to the terms, conditions and restrictions of Air New Zealand and Pacific Resort Hotel Group. Christchurch City Council takes no responsibility for, and shall have no liability in respect of, any non-delivery or other act or omission by or of Air New Zealand or Pacific Resort Hotels Group The Winner and Companion must each sign a legal release, in a form acceptable to the Promoters in their absolute discretion, if requested by the Promoters The Winner must be available for the preparation of all publicity that may be required by Christchurch City Council, Pacific Resort Hotel Group or Air New Zealand. 6. PRIVACY 6.1. By participating, entrants irrevocably grant Christchurch City Council, Pacific Resort Hotel Group or Air New Zealand exclusive permission to use their names, characters, photographs, videos, voices and likeness in connection with the Promotion and for future promotion and marketing purposes and waive any claims to royalty, right or remuneration for such use All entrant personal details must be valid and up to date and will be held by Christchurch City Council, Pacific Resort Hotel Group and Air New Zealand subject to each entities privacy

5 policy and may be used for the purpose of the Promotion and for future promotion and marketing purposes Personal information provided at the time of entry is presumed to be true and, in the case of text or notification details, active, through to and beyond the date of the Promotion s completion. 7. GENERAL 7.1. The Promoters reserve the right to amend, vary, extend or discontinue the Promotion at any stage, for any reason The Promoters take no responsibility for any inability to enter, complete, continue, conclude or redeem the Promotion due to equipment or technical malfunction, failure of network connection, incorrect address or acts of God or any other uncontrollable event.
