1 ACSC REGISTRATION ACSC REGISTRATION SPRING/FALL 2015 ACSC REGISTRATION IS JUST AROUND THE CORNER - PRICES FOR The fee for 2015 will be $35.00 Tenderfoot fee will be $30.00 includes T-Shirt Registration can be done in person at the Giant Eagle Plaza on the dates below, or by mailing your completed registration form to PO Box 2793 Alliance, OH Forms may be printed online by visiting our website: acsc1.com After we receive your completed registration form accompanied by cash, check, or money order, we will begin developing the teams. You may request specific coaches on the registration forms, but THERE IS NO GUARANTEE THAT ALL REQUESTS WILL BE HONORED. Issues of team size and experience levels must be taken into account. It is important that your registration forms be turned in prior to the February 28th deadline to avoid the $15.00 late fee. No registrations will be accepted following the first game. See the list of important dates below regarding important registration dates, and the start of the season. 2 Tenderfoot Camp Ages 4-5 UNIFORMS for 2015 When: April 25th May 2nd, 9th, and 16th Price: $35 (includes t-shirt & medal) Place: Butler Rodman Park Times: 1pm -2pm ACSC S traditional gold and black reversible jerseys will be required for all soccer players U-8 and above. New jerseys can be purchased at: TRAP S W. State Street, Orders for the uniforms can be placed at registration. However, pick up and payment for your orders will be at TRAP S. REQUIRED EQUIPMENT Shin guards are mandatory for all ages. Players are required to have plain black shorts, soccer tube socks and yellow jersey if you are the home team. Black shorts and black jersey if you are the away team. The rationale for standard uniform colors is to recognize and clearly distinguish players and sides for the referees. 3 TENDERFOOT FALL SOCCER Dear Soccer Community, THE TENDERFOOT REGISTRATION FORM IS A DIFFERENT FORM (BLUE FORM) AND MAY BE PICKED UP IN THE HALLWAY OUTSIDE OF GIANT EAGLE ON THE DATES BELOW. REGISTRATION DATES FOR FALL: June 6th (10am - 2pm) June 7th (12pm - 2pm) June 20th (10am to 2pm) June 27th (10am to 2pm) Deadline!! 2015 TENDERFOOT SEASON Remember to sign up your 4 and 5 year olds for the great non-competitive introduction to soccer. Tenderfoot soccer allows the younger group to gain some basic concepts from the game of Soccer. It provides a great opportunity for the beginning development of a team sport. Tenderfoot soccer is played for eight weeks on Saturday. There are no practices and you get a really cool team shirt. Parents get to coach and cheer their little ones as they kick, run and score their goals. It really is a great way to spend a Saturday morning. If you have any questions please call, Kevin Clark See you at the field. The Tenderfoot soccer fee is $30.00, which includes a team T-shirt. Everyone that registers will be placed on a team and will be notified in mid-august by mail. There will be a parent meeting at the front pavilion at Butler-Rodman Park. At this meeting you will receive your child s team information, T-shirt and schedule. As President, Board Member and Coach of A.C.S.C, I see youth soccer growing more and more every year and there is nothing more exciting to me than to see A.C.S.C. continue to grow. It is a privilege and honor to work with the youth from the surrounding areas to teach the game that I love. I also want to thank all of board members, coaches and Alliance Parks Dept. who dedicate their time every week to making sure everything runs smoothly. It truly is a community effort to keep the club moving forward. From the President and all the board members, we can t wait to see all players, coaches and their parents this fall and spring. 4 ACSC WEBSITE: ACSC CONCESSION STAND OPEN Remember once again the ACSC has a Concession Stand. It is located by the Volleyball court at the front of the park. We will be open this Spring & Fall every Saturday throughout the whole season. We will be selling refreshments and ACSC merchandise. So don't forget to stop buy and check it out! ACSC AGE DIVISIONS (Age on August 1 st 2015) ACSC Category Division Age Co-ed Tenderfoot 4-5 Co-ed U8 6-7 Co-ed U Co-ed U * (The U means Under) KIDSAFE PROGRAM ACSC follows the guidelines of THE RISK MANAGEMENT PROGRAM. It is our responsibility to enforce this program in our league. All board members, coaches, asst. coaches and any volunteers must have a background check. As a member of the ACSC club we will make a $20.00 donation on your behalf to the ACSC with a purchase of one of our lawn care programs for your home lawn. COACHES WANTED ASCS is prepared to offer your children the opportunity to play soccer here in Alliance. For this reality to be successful we need the help of you the parents. Each year we must find a parent that is willing to spend some time coaching a youth soccer team. When August 1st rolls around we would like to have all our coaches in place so we don t have to cancel any teams. Please take some time after you register your child to consider giving no more than 2-4 hours a week for 2-3 months and coach a team. Your help will help us provide your child with a fun-filled soccer experience. Please check the coach tab line on your child s registration form and we look forward to working with you. Thank You, Director of Coaches, Brian Simeone. REFEREES NEEDED ASCS is looking for referees for the upcoming fall soccer season. You must be 14 years of age and willing to work 2-4 hours on Saturday mornings in August, September and October. Please contact Brian Simeone or Louie Mancini ACSC pays the refs for each game. 4

5 From the Registrar The Tenderfoot form is differant from the u8 through u14 forms. Please make sure everything is filled out completely. When you get to the medical part of the form please write n/a if there are no medical issues that we need to be aware of. In an attempt to clear up some common questions that we get every year it is important to read and keep handy the information in this newsletter. A lot of basic information is printed within these pages, including important phone numbers and names of people on the board who can answer any questions. Parents can also stop by the registration table at Giant Eagle on the dates and times from the front page to ask any questions. The sooner we have your child registered the better it will be for team seection, coaches, and scheduling. Only money for registration will be collected by the club, no money for equipment, socks, or jerseys will be eccepted at registration. Games are on Saturday mornings usually from 8:30am to 12:00pm either at Butler Rodman Park (T-foot, u8,u10) or Regina Coeli (u14). Practice is scheduled by your childs coach. So please wait to hear from your child s coach for practice times and days. ACSC will be having a 5k run fundraiser on June 6th, For more details go to our website acsc1.com or contact: Tammy Wilson * TEAM CRITERIA * In years past the ACSC Team Selection reps went to great lengths to attempt to place children on teams of similar schools and/or school districts. It has been brought to our attention this is not a permissible practice. Under the guidelines of the Alliance Community Soccer Club a system of rostering players is employed for the purpose of creating a fair or balanced distribution of player talent among all teams participating. You will notice on our registration form, we still ask for School Attends. However the primary criteria the Team Selection reps will be following are Years Playing ACSC (Recreational) and Years Playing Competitive soccer, with the goal of creating a more balanced distribution of player talent being the objective. The ACSC understands there are extenuating circumstances. Please let us know at the time of registration if any such circumstances exist.
