7 Remarks by Participants Now I understand how it works with isotopes I did not know that LC-MS was so good in measuring isotope ratios One can do way more with isotopes that I thought The experts are so easily accessible. I will ask them more questions by later I really enjoyed the workshops. Now I was able to discuss my protocol with the experts! It was so good to have this 2 days intensive course in the weekend. Now I do not need to miss my clinics I will definitively suggest this course to my colleagues The pitfalls lecture after the dinner was really helpful

9 Proposed text for ESPEN Website 2013 ESPEN Expert's Course in "Tracer Methodology in Metabolism" was a great success in College Station, TX This year's ESPEN Expert's Course in Tracer Methodology in Metabolism took place in College Station, TX on the 27th and 28th of April at the Hilton Conference Center. The intensive course had 32 attendees from a variety of countries (United States, United Kingdom, Germany, Netherlands, France and Sweden). A faculty of five experts in the field of isotopic tracer methodology provided lectures and workshops over the course of two days and a number of attendees showed their own work and took the opportunity to ask the experts for advice. A great and productive weekend was completed with Dr. Dwight Matthew's world famous lecture on Lessons Learned: Problems and Pitfalls of Using Tracers on Saturday evening during the dinner event. The intensive course that serves as a basis for young researchers, PhD and MD s to start and continue with confidence their own studies using isotopic tracers was again a great success. Congratulations to Dr. Nicolaas Deutz, head of the Center for Translational Research in Aging and Longevity at Texas A&M and leader of this year's course and the faculty, Dr. Matthews, Dr. Rooyackers, Dr. Boirie and Dr. Miles. Next years course will be organized in Stockholm, Sweden.
