2 STUDY ABROAD WHERE WOULD YOU LIKE YOUR EDUCATION TO TAKE YOU? Drury University offers a wide variety of study abroad opportunities for all of our students to enjoy. While study abroad is an option for all students, it is a degree requirement for Breech School of Business, Hammons School of Architecture, and Modern European Studies students. It is recommended that students begin to consider study abroad opportunities when you enter Drury as a freshman. If you start early, you will find the program best suited for you and have time to do the necessary paperwork and planning in advance to ensure a smooth transition.
3 AIGINA, GREECE LONDON, ENGLAND Based on the island of Aigina, Greece, the Drury Center is the flagship program for Drury s extensive Study Abroad offerings. Students will begin their journey with an orientation in Athens before making their way to Aigina. During the semester, students will also have the opportunity to take a variety of field trips to exciting locations in southern and northern Greece as well as other locations in the Mediterranean. In Aigina, classes are held Monday through Thursday, allowing long weekends for exploring and travel. Students will stay in our picturesque apartment located in the center of Aigina and will have access to the state-of-the-art facilities located at the Drury Center. The apartment comes fully furnished and includes access to the central courtyard and private patio or balcony. Costs associated with the Aigina semester program include: Drury University semester tuition, room and board, program/ administration fee, technology fee, passport fee, passport photos fee, health insurance, International Student Identification Card, round-trip airfare and personal expenses. Most scholarships and financial aid apply to this program. To see a detailed list of cost estimates, please visit The Aigina program offers Global Studio, Greek I and II, as well as a variety of other general education requirements. All classes are taught in English. This program is open to all students, regardless of their major and will fulfill the architecture study abroad requirement. It is strongly recommended that students sign up early for this program. Up to 24 students are approved to study in Greece each semester. Students must have a 2.75 GPA or better. Drury students attending our London program at Regents College remain Drury students while abroad. They are registered at Drury and will pay their fees to Drury. Regents College is set in Regents Park, one of London s most spectacular Royal Parks, which offers sports, recreation, running trails, tennis courts, flower gardens and the London Zoo. At Regents, most classes are held Monday through Thursday allowing long weekends for exploring London and traveling to other destinations in Europe. Students stay in a triple-occupancy dorm room at Regents as they complete the semester program. Costs associated with the London, England semester program include: Drury University semester tuition, room and board, program/administration fee, technology fee, passport fee, passport photos fee, health insurance, International Student Identification Card, round-trip airfare and personal expenses. Participation in this program is limited to two students per year or four per semester. Because all courses are taught in Spanish, fluency is an absolute must! Costs associated with the Granada semester or year-long exchange program include: Drury University semester tuition(s), administrative fee, technology fee, visa fee, cost of travel to Spanish Consulate in Chicago, passport fee, passport photos fee, room & board arranged in Granada, health insurance, International Student Identification Card, round-trip airfare and personal expenses. Leuphana University of Lüneburg offers an excellent educational experience, imparting knowledge of a spectacular culture vastly different from our own. There s plenty to do and see in Lüneburg from the 13th century city hall, the old crane in the harbor, gothic churches and the ever popular salt baths. Lüneburg also boasts an extensive nightlife filled with cafes, pubs and alfresco beer gardens. In fact, Lüneburg has the biggest concentration of cafes and pubs per capita in Northern Germany. Costs associated with the Lüneburg, Germany exchange program include: Drury University semester tuition, room and board paid to host institution, orientation and transportation fees, administrative fee, technology fee, passport fee, passport photos fee, German residence permit, International Student Identification Card, health insurance, round-trip airfare and personal expenses. For those students who are fluent in German, there are also classes that can be taken in German rather than English. Grades earned at Luephana University of Lüneburg apply to the student s overall GPA at Drury University. A minimum GPA of 3.0 as well as the completion of German 101 and 102 qualifies four Drury students to participate in the semester-long program.
