1 WVU Davis College of Agriculture, Natural Resources and Design Endowed, Non-endowed & Pass-thru Scholarships College (and/or multiple interest areas) Agriculture, Forestry & Consumer Sciences Alumni Association Scholarship This scholarship is for student scholarship aid in the WVU Davis College of Agriculture, Natural Resources and Design. The recipients shall be regularly enrolled undergraduate students of the College. The recipients shall have demonstrated high academic promise as determined by the College s Grants and Aid Committee. Recipients shall be awarded in the name of the honoree, the WVU Agriculture, Forestry and Consumer Sciences Alumni Association. Barry Kiger Memorial Presidential Scholarship First consideration for the application of this scholarship shall be for use in support of the WVU Scholars Program. The Kiger Scholarship shall be used annually or otherwise for student scholarship aid in the Division of Plant and Soil Sciences, Division of Animal and Nutritional Sciences or programs within the Division of Resources Management related to agriculture in the WVU Davis College of Agriculture, Natural Resources and Design. Scholarship awards shall not be less than the equivalent of a full Presidential Scholarship award for the academic year in which the award is made as determined by the WVU Office of Student Financial Aid and the WVU Scholars Program. The recipients shall be residents of WV and regularly enrolled students at WVU as undergraduate or graduate students in the College. The recipients shall have demonstrated (a) need for financial assistance and (b) high academic promise as determined by appropriate officials of the WVU Office of Student Financial Aid and the Davis College of Agriculture, Natural Resources and Design. Bob & Betty Maxwell Endowed Scholarship Upon consultation with the Office of Student Financial Aid, this scholarship provides aid for regularly enrolled second, third or fourth year students majoring in the Davis College of Agriculture, Natural Resources and Design with a program of study in the broad field of food and agriculture. The recipients shall have demonstrated a) need for financial assistance and/or b) high academic achievement as determined by appropriate officials of the College. Scholarships shall be awarded by the College through the Office of Student Financial aid in the name of the honorees, Bob and Betty Maxwell. Boone County Alumni Karl E. Williams Book Scholarship Designated to award a Boone County high school graduate, meeting the college entrance standards, and enrolled in any of the WVU campuses - WVU, Potomac State College, WVU Parkersburg or WVU Tech. Preference will be given to: 1st a student pursuing a degree in the WVU Davis College of Agriculture, Natural Resources and Design; 2nd a student pursuing a an agricultural or biological science major at Potomac State College; and 3rd a student pursuing a degree in biological sciences or related field at any of the WVU campuses. At least two letters of recommendation will be required for selection of recipients. Scholarship will be awarded in honor of Karl E. Williams. Clark H. Taylor Scholarship The recipients shall be regularly enrolled students at WVU Davis College of Agriculture, Natural Resources and Design as undergraduate students in the agricultural sciences. First preference will be given to students graduating from WV or southwestern PA high schools. Recipients shall have demonstrated (a) need for financial assistance and (b) high academic promise as determined by appropriate officials of the WVU Office of Student Financial Aid and the College. Recipients of these scholarships so provided shall be selected in accordance with the criteria stated above and awarded in the name of the Honoree, Clark H. Taylor. Davis College of Agriculture, Forestry and Consumer Sciences Scholarship Fund This fund supports three very special scholarships for students majoring within the College ~ the Dean s Scholarship, the FFA Scholarship, and the 4-H Scholarship. Dr. Paul E. Nesselroad Scholarship This undergraduate scholarship is designated for students enrolled at WVU Davis College of Agriculture, Natural Resources and Design in the Division of Resource Management or the Division of Family and Consumer Sciences. Recipients shall demonstrate academic promise and financial need. A student who is a recipient one year is eligible for consideration in any other year. Scholarships shall be awarded in the name of Paul E. Nesselroad. Forbes Agriculture & Forestry Endowed Scholarship One award of $500 will be awarded to a student interested in food science or dairy technology. The College Aid and Grants Committee will make a selection only if a highly qualified candidate exists. Foulke Meadow River Lands Scholarship The recipient shall be a regularly enrolled student at the WVU Davis College of Agriculture, Natural Resources and Design in an undergraduate or graduate major. Preference will be given to an undergraduate student. Furthermore, the recipient shall be a graduate of a WV high school and shall be a resident of WV demonstrating (a) need for financial assistance as determined by the WVU Office of Student Financial Aid and (b) a record of high academic achievement as

2 determined by the College s scholarship committee. The student recipient of the scholarship may retain the scholarship until graduation contingent on remaining a full-time student in the College in good academic standing. For the purposes of this scholarship, good academic standing shall be defined as a 3.0 (B) cumulative GPA. The 3.0 GPA requirements may be waived by the scholarship committee. The recipient of this scholarship shall be selected in accordance with the criteria stated above and awarded in the name of Jean Kane Foulke DuPont. Francis E. Stevens Memorial Scholarship The recipients shall be regularly enrolled students at WVU as undergraduate or graduate students in the WVU Davis College of Agriculture, Natural Resources and Design with preference being given to students enrolled in an agricultural discipline. The recipients shall also be graduates of a Mason, Jackson or Cabell County High School with preference given to Mason County graduates provided they meet all other criteria. The recipients shall have demonstrated (a) need for financial assistance and (b) high academic promise as determined by appropriate officials of the College and the WVU Office of Student Financial Aid. The size of the scholarship award shall not exceed the equivalent of fifty percent (50%) of full in-state tuition and fees for the academic year in which the scholarship is awarded. Recipients will receive the scholarship award for a maximum of four semesters providing they remain in good standing at WVU. Gamma Sigma Delta Service Leadership Scholarship Recipients must be a full-time student with at least one year of residency in a program within the WVU Davis College of Agriculture, Natural Resources and Design. The award will be based on service and leadership activities and a minimum 3.0 GPA academic performance. Scholarships are awarded annually at the discretion of Gamma Sigma Delta. George D. McKain Scholarship Annual scholarship in the amount of $3,000 for Doddridge County residents who are graduates of Doddridge County High School (or its successor) and who are enrolled at WVU in the Davis College of Agriculture, Natural Resources and Design (1st preference) or the College of Human Resources & Education (2nd preference). Each recipient shall have been a member of 4-H and attended at least one summer 4-H camp. Priority for scholarship awards shall be given to freshmen students, but if there is no eligible freshman in a given year, any currently-enrolled student who was a recipient of the Scholarship in a previous year shall be eligible for consideration. If no such recipient is eligible in a given year, other undergraduate students who meet the residency, 4-H and college criteria will be eligible. If there are two or more students who meet all these criteria, the scholarship award shall be made to the student with the greatest financial need. A list of eligible freshmen students will be secured annually from appropriate officials at the Doddridge County Extension Service and/or Doddridge County High School. Galis Agriculture & Forestry Endowed Scholarship Awarded to a student (undergraduate or graduate) enrolled in an agriculture program at the WVU Davis College of Agriculture, Natural Resources and Design. Harry P. & Beth Palmer Muffly Scholarship Recipients shall either be from the Division of Design & Merchandising or majoring in Agriculture. Howard (Jake), Nettie & David Lee Steerman Memorial Scholarship The recipients shall be regularly enrolled freshman students at WVU with preference to students enrolled in the Davis College of Agriculture, Natural Resources and Design. The recipients shall be graduates of Philip Barbour High School Complex, or its successor school, in Philippi, WV, and shall have exhibited high academic promise. Recipients shall be selected by appropriate representatives of Philip Barbour High School Complex or its successor school; the WVU Office of Student Financial Aid may make awards if the high school fails to select a recipient. To recipients will be selected annually and no recipient to be eligible for renewal in subsequent years. The scholarships will be awarded in the name of the honorees, Howard (Jake), Nettie, and David Lee Steerman. Hu S. & Freda T. Vandervort Agriculture Student Scholarship First consideration to students identified for aid through the WVU Scholars Program who also meet the requirements of this fund. The recipients shall be regularly enrolled undergraduate students majoring in agriculture who have demonstrated the need for financial assistance as determined by officials of the WVU Office of Student Financial Aid and must have achieved a GPA of 3.0 or better. Preference in selecting students for this award shall be given in the following order: a) students from the Clinton District of Monongalia County, b) students from Monongalia County and c) students from West Virginia. Income from the fund will be used to support no fewer than four scholarships per year. The amount of each scholarship award may not exceed the annual cost of tuition and fees. The scholarship may be renewed each year provided the recipients maintain a GPA of 3.0 and maintain normal progress toward completing their course of study. Scholarships will be awarded in the name of Hu S. and Freda T. Vandervort. J.O. & Gladys Knapp Student Scholarships At least two scholarships will be awarded to students. The first scholarship shall be awarded to a regularly enrolled undergraduate student studying agriculture or forestry in the WVU Davis College of Agriculture, Natural Resources, and Design. The second scholarship shall be awarded to a regularly enrolled student studying within the Davis College Division of Design & Merchandising and the College of Human Resources & Education. All recipients shall be graduates

3 of a WV High School and have (a) demonstrated need for financial assistance, and shall have (b) achieved a college grade point average of at least 2.5. The scholarships shall be awarded on a year to year basis. No student shall be eligible for more than one year. James H. Arbuckle Agriculture Student Fund Scholarships designated for regularly enrolled undergraduate agriculture students in the WVU Davis College of Agriculture, Natural Resources, and Design will be awarded in the name of James H. Arbuckle. The recipients shall be U.S. citizens and shall have demonstrated a) need for financial assistance and b) academic promise as determined by the College. James H. Arbuckle Forestry Scholarship Recipients shall be US citizens who are regularly enrolled undergraduate students at WVU Davis College of Agriculture, Natural Resources, and Design. The recipients shall have a demonstrated need for financial assistance and academic promise as determined by the WVU Office of Student Financial Aid and the College. Recipients shall be awarded in the name of James H. Arbuckle. James Lester Pitcher Scholarship Recipients shall be West Virginia residents and regularly enrolled students at the WVU Davis College of Agriculture, Natural Resources, and Design in any program area related specifically to agriculture at either the undergraduate or graduate level. Candidates must demonstrate a) need for financial assistance and b) academic promise as determined by appropriate officials of the College in consultation with the WVU Office of Student Financial Aid. The scholarships shall be awarded in the name of the honoree, James Lester Pitcher. Jane A. Klett Undergraduate Scholarship/Nutrition Studies This endowment shall provide undergraduate scholarships for students enrolled at West Virginia University as pre-majors or majors in the Human Nutrition and Foods program in the Davis College of Agriculture, Natural Resources, and Design. Recipients shall demonstrate academic promise and/or financial need. Scholarships shall be awarded in the name of Jane A Klett. John & Dick Anderson Scholarship Undergraduate scholarships for students enrolled at WVU in the Eberly College of Arts & Sciences and the Davis College of Agriculture, Natural Resources, and Design will be provided. Recipients shall demonstrate financial need and academic promise as determined by the respective Offices of the Dean in consultation with WVU's Office of Financial Aid. A student who is a recipient one year is eligible for consideration in any other year. Recipients shall be determined by the appropriate officials in the Eberly College of Arts and Sciences and in the Davis College of Agriculture, Natural Resources, and Design. Kenneth J. Hock Scholarship A preference will be given to students identified for aid through the WVU Scholars Program who also meet the requirements of this fund. Recipients shall be enrolled at WVU as full-time undergraduate students of at least sophomore standing, or graduate students who have declared a major in agriculture and exhibit character and commitment to their field. Preference will be given to students who are native West Virginias pursuing curriculums in Resource Management or Plant Sciences in the WVU Davis College of Agriculture, Natural Resources, and Design. The recipients shall have a) demonstrated need for financial assistance and b) academic promise as determined by appropriate officials of the Office of Student Financial Aid based on the recommendations of the College Scholarship Selection Committee. The scholarship is renewable for all years of the recipient s undergraduate education. The awards will be made annually, however if the Committee finds no candidates who fulfill the criteria, funds for that period revert to principal. Scholarships awarded in the name of Kenneth J. Hock. Lawrence S. & Larna B. Cavendish Scholarship First consideration for the application of these funds will be for use in support of the WVU Scholars Program. The scholarship will be used annually or otherwise for student scholarship aid in the WVU Davis College of Agriculture, Natural Resources, and Design. The recipients shall be regularly enrolled as either undergraduate or graduate students with first preference for residents of Jackson, Raleigh and Fayette counties and a second preference for residents of Boone, Cabell, Kanawha, Lincoln, Logan, Mason, McDowell, Mingo, Putnam, Summers, Wayne and Wyoming counties. The recipients shall have demonstrated academic promise as determined by the appropriate officials of the WVU Office of Student Financial Aid and the College. Scholarships will be awarded in the name of the honorees, Lawrence S. and Larna B. Cavendish. Leland & Winifred M. Booth Agriculture & Forestry Scholarship For students enrolled in the WVU Davis College of Agriculture, Natural Resources, and Design who are residents of Barbour County, WV. The scholarship can provide tuition, books and residential living expenses. The recipients shall be selected by the staff of the College. McComas Scholarship Awarded to a student enrolled in an agriculture program of the WVU Davis College of Agriculture, Natural Resources, and

4 Design with financial need. First preference will be given to incoming freshmen students. Newton M. Baughman Memorial Scholarship Recipients from the WVU Davis College of Agriculture, Natural Resources, and Design must be of sophomore ranking or higher, and be outstanding students majoring in the Agricultural Sciences. Selection of recipients, number of scholarships and size of awards will be determined by a scholarship committee and the dean of the College as well as the Office of Student Financial Aid. Randall R. Reed Agriculture Scholarship Scholarships for Tucker, Randolph, Pendleton and Pocahontas County residents who are undergraduate or graduate students enrolled at WVU Davis College of Agriculture, Natural Resources and Design. Recipients will be students majoring in a discipline that emphasizes production agriculture. These disciplines would include agribusiness management, agriculture education, animal science, plant sciences, soil science, as well as any new program area or curriculum viewed as relevant to production agriculture. Under no circumstances will students majoring in disciplines that emphasize Veterinary Science, Forestry, Consumer Science or Environmental Sciences be eligible for scholarship awards. Recipients shall demonstrate academic promise and financial need. If there are no recipients available from the counties stated above, students from any other WV County may eligible the scholarship. A student who is a recipient one year is eligible for consideration in any other year. Scholarships shall be awarded in the name of the donor, Dr. Randall R. Reed and in memory of Lindsey & Addie Reed. No expenditures will be made until the annual gift is received. Robert B. Dustman Family Endowed Scholarship This endowment shall provide undergraduate or graduate scholarships for students attending WVU enrolled in the Davis College of Agriculture, Natural Resources, and Design; Eberly College of Arts & Sciences; or the College of Engineering and Mineral Resources. Consideration shall be given to students that have financial need and have demonstrated academic promise by achieving a G.P.A. of 2.5 or above. Scholarships shall be awarded in the name of the Robert B. Dustman Family. Robert S. Simons Scholarship The recipients shall be regularly enrolled undergraduate students at the WVU Davis College of Agriculture, Natural Resources and Design who have graduated from Upshur County High Schools and have achieved a minimum high school or college GPA of 3.0. It is the donor's intent that each scholarship be not less than $500 but not more than the amount of West Virginia residency tuition and fees, except for students who have proven financial need, then living expenses can be awarded. First consideration for the application of these funds will be for use in support of the WVU Scholars Program for students from Upshur County who are enrolled in the WVU Davis College of Agriculture, Natural Resources, and Design. If no qualified Scholars Program candidate is available in any year, the Davis College will select the recipients in consultation with the Office of Financial Aid. If there are insufficient numbers of qualified candidates in any year, the remaining scholarship shall be awarded to students with a major in any of the physical and/or biological sciences. Scholarship will be awarded in name of Robert S. Simons. Royce J. & Caroline Baker Watts Family Endowed Scholarship Students from the WVU Davis College of Agriculture, Natural Resources, and Design (Division of Family Resources), College of Business & Economics (Department of Accounting & Department of Economics, and the College of Mineral and Energy Resources will be eligible. The recipients shall a) be regularly enrolled students at WVU b) be citizens of the U.S. and residents of W.V., c) have achieved the academic rank of sophomore, junior, or senior, d) have achieved and maintained a GPA of 2.5 or greater and e) enroll for and complete a minimum of 14 credit hours each semester the scholarship is in effect. Scholarships shall be administered by the appropriate academic unit and the Office of Student Financial Aid. Southern States Co-op / Marvin R. McClung Presidential Scholarship A preference will be provided to students identified for aid through the WVU Scholars Program who also meet the requirements of this fund. Scholarship recipients will be residents of West Virginia who plan to major in an agriculture science discipline. The scholarship will be awarded on a year-to-year basis. A student who is a recipient one year is eligible for consideration of a renewal award in any other year. To retain the scholarship for subsequent years, the scholar is required to maintain a minimum 3.2 grade point average and be enrolled in a minimum of twelve semester hours of course work. The scholarships shall be administered by the Office of Student Financial Aid in consultation with the Dean of the Davis College of Agriculture, Natural Resources, and Design. Southern States Co-op Scholarship One award to an incoming freshman which can continue through the sophomore, junior and senior years. Two year of 4-H or FFA is required. Scholarships are awarded annually at the discretion of the Southern States Cooperative. Three Little Pigs Scholarship Open to all West Virginia residents pursuing an undergraduate degree in the WVU Davis College of Agriculture, Natural Resources, and Design who have a financial need. Recipients will be selected by appropriate officials of the College.

5 Trelogan Agriculture & Forestry Endowed Scholarship Awarded to a student enrolled in an agriculture program within the WVU Davis College of Agriculture, Natural Resources, and Design. Vandalia Scholarship Recipients shall: a) be pursuing the study of agricultural sciences within the WVU Davis College of Agriculture, Natural Resources, and Design, b) have demonstrated academic ability, and c) have financial need. This scholarship may continue for up to eight semesters. West Virginia Farm Credit ACA Scholarships are awarded annually at the discretion of WV Farm Credit ACA. William A. Wayt Endowed Scholarship Support students studying within the WUV Davis College of Agriculture, Natural Resources, and Design WVAAI Scholarship Awarded to a student (undergraduate or graduate) enrolled in an agriculture program in the WUV Davis College of Agriculture, Natural Resources, and Design Zack Ellison Scholarship Available to students who are West Virginia High School graduates, or who have a West Virginia high school equivalent diploma, and who are enrolled in the WVU Davis College of Agriculture, Natural Resources, and Design.
