1 Job details Job title: Organisational (Learning) Development Advisor Responsible to: HR Business Partner (OD) Responsible for: Posts in the function Location: Liverpool with travel across all locations Overview of the role The overall purpose of the OD (learning) Advisor is to develop a thorough understanding of current and future business objectives, to identify and deliver the development interventions needed to enable achievement of those objectives and ensure implementation through proactive partnership working. The role will work to build a holistic organisational development approach which builds the capacity and capability of the workforce and engenders a culture of continuous improvement. She/he will deliver a high quality, proactive, effective, efficient and timely Organisational Development (OD) advisory and support service to key stakeholders and managers throughout the organisation, whilst keeping informed of best practice developments in OD in order to contribute to the amendment and development of policies to meet emerging needs and good practice. She/he will assist the HR Business Partner (OD) in providing an excellent OD (learning & Development) service to managers which is fully cognisant of current and future business challenges, objectives and associated people requirements, proactively identifying opportunities where OD learning offerings can add value. The postholder will work in partnership with HR to ensure a holistic people approach. Main responsibilities and accountabilities Professional Advice To deliver responsive and innovative OD solutions which respond to current and future requirements and assist in achieving business objectives and KPI s. To provide high quality, professional support and guidance to managers in relation to all OD matters including consulting, commissioning and implementing robust organisational development interventions to support business objectives. To identify, collate and analyse organisation wide learning needs. To proactively work with managers in delivering development requirements using existing processes or by delivering alternative focused solutions which represent value for money and the return on investment. To deliver continuous improvement in the provision of advice provided to managers. through the work which is conducted individually and as part of the team, regularly seeking feedback from managers as to how the service could be improved. Develop innovative solutions to learning needs using up to date, creative delivery methods. Contribute towards organisational initiatives including leading on apprentice and work placement schemes. Strategy

2 Assist in the development and implementation of strategies, business and financial plans in the HR function. Shape the services in the function to meet the needs of customers and stakeholders (internal and external) this includes partnership working and employee engagement. Performance management To proactively provide and monitor staffing data and to take appropriate action to ensure compliance with legislation, value for money (VFM) and return on investment (ROI)is identified. To ensure the accuracy of employee information and documentation to ensure the provision of high quality, accurate management reports. To develop in conjunction with the HR Business Partner (OD) a suite of operational management reports and key performance indicators to facilitate effective people management and workforce planning. To identify, collate, analyse and evaluate data and to present information, reports, findings and recommendations to assist management in business planning and appropriate solutions. To measure the effectiveness of solutions and the OD interventions in contributing to business objectives and to look at ways in which efficiencies and improvements can be achieved. Finances, budgets and resources Ensure all of Plus Dane s assets and resources are used efficiently and effectively and delivered in line with the Value for Money Strategy. Governance Ensure that Plus Dane operates within all regulatory guidance, statutory and legislative requirements. Responsible for the identification and management of risks within the HR/OD function and support risk management activities across the rest of the organisation. Management To manage the HR/OD Coordinator and be responsible for the performance of the postholder. Encourage and promote cross functional working between teams across Plus Dane. Functional Support all HR and organisational development programmes of work. As part of HR team to work to embed Plus Dane s vision, values and mission, and culture. Consult with and influence and build relationships with key external stakeholders. Other Provide expert professional advice to managers and staff as required. Ensure all work is aligned to the vision, mission and values of Plus Dane. Ensure that all functional strategies, policies, processes and guidance notes are up to date and in line with best practice / current legislation. Carry out all other duties as may be reasonably assigned from time to time, with the level of this job description.
