3 REFRESH Developing Christian ministry at school can be hard work but take heart, your labour is never in vain. God is working in the lives of thousands of students each week through CRU Groups, chapels and other ministries. But sometimes all labourers need refreshment and invigoration. So whether you re going strong, running on empty, or could just do with some encouragement, you won t want to miss this invaluable day. There will be ideas to inspire your CRU Group and great teaching to revitalise, motivate and equip you to continue sharing the Gospel and making an eternal impact on the students at your school. CRU Group was the starting point in my walk with God. I actually understood and realised what God had done for me and I gave my life to Christ. 4 YOUR KEYNOTE BIBLE SPEAKER Marty is currently the Deputy Principal at St Philips Cessnock, where he lives with his wife and three children. Before moving to Cessnock, Marty was Chaplain at Tara Anglican School for Girls for a number of years. Marty is passionate about ministry in schools, particularly thinking about how school culture, school curriculum and school organisation can reflect and demonstrate the Gospel of Christ. Marty Telfer For the first time ever, this Teachers Day will feature two special panels to discuss Communicating the gospel and growing disciples in a changing iworld one for infants & primary school and one for high school. Each panel will consist of experts in children & youth ministry, chaplains and teachers. INFANTS & PRIMARY PANEL Bruce Linton has been working in children's ministry for more than 20 years and is currently the Family & Children s Minister at St Paul's Anglican Church Carlingford. He sees children's ministry as a vital tool to grow the church and believes the church needs to partner with the primary carers of children, parents, in helping to lead and nurture them. He also feels that working with children is both challenging and exciting as it often involves bringing important truths to age groups that are wrestling with these ideas for the first time. Bruce Linton HIGH SCHOOL PANEL Mark is an award-winning social researcher, best-selling author, TedX speaker and influential thought leader. His understanding of key social trends has seen him appear on radio and television including Sunrise, Today, The Morning Show, ABC News 24 and A Current Affair. His highly valued reports and infographics have developed his regard as a data scientist, demographer, futurist and social commentator. Mark McCrindle

Jenny Salt Jenny is Dean of Students at SMBC and is responsible for their pastoral care. She has been serving at College for the last 19 years and loves spending time with students, seeing them grow in their understanding of the gospel. Jenny will be sharing about how to refresh your spiritual life.
