2 LANGUAGE The conference and workshop will be held in English, Russian and Polish. Simultaneous interpretation will be provided. REGISTRATION, OPENING SESSION AND CLOSURE Registration of participants will start at the venue from 8.30 a.m. on 18 September 2013 for the Regional Consultation and from 9 a.m. on 19 September 2013 for the Conference. The Regional Consultation will start at a.m. and the Conference will begin at 10 a.m. with the opening session. It is expected that the Conference will be closed not later than 1:30 p.m. on 20 September 2013, therefore subject of available transport connections the travel back home of participants may be arranged in the afternoon/evening of 20 September All participants are recommended to stay in the Hotel of the National Veterinary Research Institute (NVRI) in. The rooms in the hotel have been booked in advance for all participants by organizers. 3 MEALS Coffee breaks and lunches will be provided by the organizers. VISA Participants who need to apply for a visa should refer to the Polish Embassy in their home countries. The Polish organizers will facilitate visa applications with support letters for participants subject to preliminary well in advance notification at kodeks@ijhars.gov.pl. One zloty equals 100 groszy. Foreign currency can be exchanged at the airport, in hotels, banks and exchange offices (kantor). The exchange rate is approx ,30 zł/ 1. 4 HOW TO GET TO PULAWY [puˈwavɨ] is a town in eastern Poland, in Lublin Province (Northern Lesser Poland), on the Wisla (Vistula) and Kurówka rivers. The distance from Warsaw to is 125 km (2 hour by train). The Hotel of the National Veterinary Research Institute is located near Miasto Railway station (the first complex of buildings from the railway station, approx.100 meters). The National Veterinary Research Institute From Warsaw Frederic Chopin Airport to Central Railway Station in Warsaw Warsaw Frederic Chopin Airport is located about 10 km south of the city center. By bus 175 The trip to the Central Railway Station of Warsaw takes minutes, depending on traffic. The bus goes every minutes. The bus stop is in front of Terminal A (cross 2 or 3 lanes of traffic to find the bus stop).

5 Tickets: single fare, cost: 4.40 PLN. Remember: the ticket should be immediately validated upon boarding the bus in the yellow validating machine only a validated ticket is deemed proof of payment for the journey. For timetable visit: By taxi There is a taxi rank in front of Terminal A of the airport. For safety reasons, it is advised to use licensed taxi services offered at Chopin airport. Taxi tariffs should be clearly displayed in car windows. The taxi fare from the airport to the city center is approx PLN (day fare), (10-12 Euro) depending on the taxi company. initial/starting fee: PLN 6-8 Day fare, in the urban zone: PLN 3 per km Travel time to Central Railway Station: minutes, depending on traffic. IMPORTANT! Do not take a taxi from anyone who may approach you in the arrival hall. They often do not have a license to carry people in their cars, and their fees are several times higher than those of registered and legal corporate taxi. For your safety and comfort, Warsaw Chopin Airport recommends to use the services of one of the following taxi companies: ELE SKY TAXI SUPER TAXI SAWA TAXI By city train Warsaw Chopin Airport and Central Railway Station are connected by a fast and convenient rail link. The airport train station is to the right of the exit (follow the signs). The train ride from the airport to the Central Railway Station takes approx. 25 minutes.

6 The service is operated by two companies: Szybka Kolej Miejska SKM (Fast Urban Railway red colour) Koleje Mazowieckie KM (Masovian Railways green and white colour). The trains go every minutes. Tickets: single fare, cost: 4.40 PLN. If you choose SKM (red), remember: the ticket should be immediately validated in a validating machine on the train only a validated ticket is deemed proof of payment for the journey. If you choose KM (green and white), remember: you should enter the train through the first door of the train (at the head of the units), and notify the train manager for the purchase, validation or activation of the ticket. 7 Ticket machines From Central Railway Station in Warsaw to Before booking a ticket for a flight we highly recommend checking the departure time of the last train/bus of the day. Taxi You can order a TAXI to pick you up from the Warsaw airport: tel. (+48 81) 19464, ( ), price is approx. 600 PLN (150 Euro) (two or three times cheaper than taking a Warsaw taxi). Having in mind that it takes approx. 2 hours to drive from to Warsaw, do not forget to call the taxi well in advance.
