5 Fiber network module FN2006 / FN2007 Description Fiber network module FN2006 / FN2007. Description The fiber network module multi-mode (MM) and the fiber network module single-mode (SM) can be used to network fire detection panels to the system bus FCnet/SFEDLINK or C-WEB/SFEDLINK, or XNET/SFEDLINK over large distances using glass fiber optic cable. The fiber network modules have the following features: Fiber network module (SM) FN2006: Single-mode transmission up to,000 ft / 9,90 m Fiber network module (MM) FN2007: Single-mode transmission up to,00 ft / 99 m Two independent, electrically isolated channels SC connections for fiber optic cable Ground fault detection Trouble signaling via LED and dry contact relay Installation in panel 5 6V05048_c_en_-- Building Technologies Division
6 Fiber network module FN2006 / FN2007 Installation in Desigo/Cerberus Pro.2 Installation in Desigo/Cerberus Pro The fiber network module is installed on the far left of the back box of the enclosure (2HU), beside the power supply. Installation is identical for the following modules: Fiber network module (SM) FN2006 Fiber network module (MM) FN2007 Each fiber network module is supplied with a set of plugs. 4 2 Installing the fiber network module FN2006 or FN2007 in the enclosure (2HU) x fixing screw 2 Fiber network module x fastening tab on enclosure underside of fiber network module 4 x threaded sleeve in back box. Position the fiber network module (2) on the back box of the enclosure as shown. 2. Screw the fiber network module (2) on the three fastening tabs () with three fastening screws () to the threaded sleeves (4) in the back box.. Wire up the fiber network module according to the following pin assignment. 6 6V05048_c_en_-- Building Technologies Division
7 Fiber network module FN2006 / FN2007 Installation in XLS. Installation in XLS In the XLS system, the fiber network module is installed on a COM-BRK bracket that can be mounted to the CB-, CB-2 or CB- back box or to the optional CB-MP. The COM-BRK takes up the same space as a CC-2 card cage. The fiber network module should first be secured to the COM-BRK using the three screws provided with the module, then installed in the back box or mounting plate using the four screws provided with the bracket. Once the bracket and module are secured to the cabinet, wire the module and connect the optical fiber cable as described later in this document. NOTICE The fiber network module and bracket cannot be installed behind a PMI, PMI-2, LVM or FMT. 7 6V05048_c_en_-- Building Technologies Division
