3 1 Introduction Before configuring ND Manage, it is recommended that you do the following: 1. Create one or more content types to be used within your Summary List. These content types should contain metadata fields that will be used to describe the function of your site. 2. Create one or more site templates to be used with each content type. Site templates can be unique to each site function, pre-populated with apps and documents to save end users time. 3. Ensure you have a DocuSign login. To access the configuration options, click the Configuration link in the left-hand navigation pane of the app. NOTE: Only users with Full permissions will be able to see this menu option. 2 Set Up DocuSign Account 2.1 Demo Account You can create a demo account to try out the feature for free. To create a demo account, follow the steps below, or contact Demo.Docusign@NetDexterity.com. 1. Navigate to: 2. Click on Sign up to create new account, or login if you have one already. 3. Login into DocuSign demo account. 4. Click: Switch to Classic from top right of the page. 5. When prompted for feedback, you may choose No Thanks. ND Manage Admin Guide 2
4 6. From the top-right menu, click Preferences. 7. From the left navigation pane under the Account Administration heading, click Features. 8. Under the heading DocuSign API, check the box next to DocuSign Connect. This selection will create another link under Account Administration Connect. 9. Click Connect from the left-hand navigation menu. 10. On the Connect page, click Add Configuration, and select custom. ND Manage Admin Guide 3
5 11. Add the following configuration information: a) URL to Publish: b) Name: NDManage (or name of your choice) c) Select checkboxes as follows: 12. Click Save then go back to the SharePoint Admin page. Enter the account credentials that you have just created. 13. The DocuSign feature is now ready! Navigate to any document library within the SharePoint site and begin the signature process. 2.2 Production Account To set up a DocuSign account for your production environment, contact NetDexterity at Prod.DocuSign@NetDexterity.com. NOTE: To use ND Manage in production, you will need to purchase DocuSign envelopes. Contact NetDexterity at the same address as above. ND Manage Admin Guide 4
6 3 Configuration Pane The links in the ND Manage Configuration Pane are summarized below, and described in further detail in the following sections. Assign a list to be the Summary List of all sites created with the app. View the content types associated with the list. Assign each content type one or more standard or custom templates. DocuSign login for administrator. Create a new site. Link to Admin Guide for ND Manage. 3.1 Manage List All lists within your parent site the site on which you added the ND Manage app will appear in the dropdown list. You can either select an existing list, or create a new one from within this screen. 3.2 Manage Content Types This page shows you the content types associated with your summary list. You will need to do this through List Settings, as opposed to through the app. ND Manage Admin Guide 5
7 3.3 Manage Templates On this screen you are asked to assign one or more site templates to each of the content types. Click Add a template. Next, choose to use one of the blank templates that come with SharePoint, or select from custom templates that you have created for each business function. For example, if you were creating collaboration sites for legal litigation cases, the site templates for Federal and Provincial cases might look very different links to different precedents, research resources, and unique document templates could be pre-populated into the site template. Remove templates from a content type by clicking the red X icon. ND Manage Admin Guide 6
8 4 Add a Create Site Button To make it easier for your users to open the site creation wizard, you have the option of putting a Create Site button on any page within your parent site. You can add this button to the page in the same way you would any other app part: 1. Click Edit in the Page ribbon at the top of your screen. 2. From the Insert ribbon, click on the App Part button. 3. In the list of apps available, select the ND Sites app and click the Add button to add the app to the page. 4. Now you will see the blue Create Site button appear on your page. Next, edit the web part properties of the button web part to hide the web part title. a. Click Edit Web Part to open the web part editing pane. b. At the bottom of the Appearance heading, change the Chrome Type to None. ND Manage Admin Guide 7
9 c. Click OK to save your changes and close the web part editing pane. 5. Save the page when finished. 5 Add and Configure ND Filter App It s a good idea to add the ND Filter app above your summary list, to help users filter to one or more sites. 1. Navigate to the list and click Edit page. 2. Above your list, click Add a Web Part. 3. Add the ND Filter web part, found in the Apps category. 4. Edit the web part s properties and under the Custom Properties header, fill in the following: a. Document Library Title: The title of the list or library. b. Document Library URL: The URL of the list or library. c. Document Library view: The view of the list or library that you want the filters to act on. d. Number of columns: Choose to display 1 to 5 columns, based on the number of fields in the view you selected and the size of your monitor. ND Manage Admin Guide 8
10 NOTE: Any controlled vocabulary fields (i.e. choice fields) in the view you selected will appear as a filter option. To remove a filter, remove the column from your selected view. You may notice that the app leaves a space below it and the list or library. To fix this, you can specify a fixed height for the app, and further reduce the whitespace by hiding the title change Chrome Type to None. Leave enough whitespace so that when filters are applied, the user doesn t see a vertical scroll bar to the right of the app. Test a few filters to ensure there is enough room left on the page.
