1 Application for New Water Mains to Serve Housing Developments This application form is used to apply for new adoptable water mains for housing developments. It is advisable that you complete a Pre-Development Enquiry Form prior to submitting this application. If you have undertaken a Water Impact Assessment (WIA) please include the conclusions with this application. This form is for domestic connections only. For non-domestic connections please see If you require a connection to our existing main for the purposes of building water or site accommodation please complete the Water Connections (WC1) application form. Construction Details 3.1 Please state the total number of properties that relates to this application and a breakdown of the house type. Plot numbers must be numerical, run consecutively, and correspond with the drawings provided. Please provide 28 days notice prior to tie-in. 3.4 Where a connection is to be made though land outwith your ownership a Deed of Servitude shall be required, an example of this can be found in the appendices of the latest Sewers for Scotland design and construction guide. 3.6 If you have still to appoint an SLO or it later changes please provide the details prior to water main laying works commencing on site. These requirements will be detailed in our approval letter. 04

Soil Investigation Report For all sites Scottish Water require risk-based evidence to support your choice of pipe material. You must employ a suitably qualified Environmental Consultant. Booster Station details Where a water booster station is required, please provide manufacturers specifications, including a suitable booster station design pack, and M&E information. Sprinkler System If you propose to include a sprinkler system at your development, you need to submit the following: Internal schematics Manufacturing specifications Fire Authority approval Please liaise with the Fire Authority regarding your development s fire-fighting requirements and confirm the Fire Authority s approval on the provisions. 5. Charges We will issue you with a quote based on our current Scheme of Charges which is available on our website The quote will be made up of the following charges: Inspection per Connection Infrastructure charge per property Building Water charge per property Upon your acceptance of the quote we will issue an invoice. Payment should not be made until an invoice has been issued. 6. Charges Your quote will be based on the following charges. This is taken from the latest Scheme of Charges which can be found at Inspection fee is charged for every connection required for your properties Infrastructure charge This is applicable on a per property basis. All new properties connecting to our water mains increase the flow demand within the water network. In order to fund upgrades of the public water network, any new connections to the public water main are required to pay an infrastructure charge. Building Water You will pay a flat rate charge for the water used in the building of ALL new houses, whether part of a development or a single property. The actual charge will depend on the type of house you are building i.e. Terraced/Semi detached/detached/flat Alternative formats of this form can be made available free of charge.
