35 Secrets the Vine highly recommends that all additional decorations and/or favors be brought with the couple on the plane. If it is necessary to ship boxes prior to the couples arrival, we suggest using either FEDEX or UPS and shipping everything a month and a half in advance to ensure all boxes clear customs and arrive to the resort on time. Please be advised that food, animals, insects or natural flowers are not permitted to enter Mexico. Label all boxes with your name and clearly specify the date you will be arriving. Secrets the Vine offers a delivery service for gifts. There will be a fee of $4 USD per room. A complete list of all guests along with room numbers is required. Once the boxes have been shipped, please send an to the wedding coordinator with the following information to allow us to track the packages: Bride s name Shipping company Tracking number Number of boxes Policy on Damages and Losses The property does not assume responsibility for any items, personal or professional, brought onto the resort prior to, during or after the wedding event. These include, but are not limited to, floral arrangements, decorations or equipment. The wedding couple is responsible for all non resort guests while they are on property attending the event. 35

36 Deposit Policy A deposit is required to confirm and hold the requested wedding date. Deposit requirements vary based on wedding package purchased. Deposit of $ is required to reserve the Wedding in Paradise Package; a deposit of $ is required to reserve the Love or Ultimate Wedding Package. This deposit can then be applied toward ceremony and/or reception upgrades which have been purchased in addition to the wedding package. If the wedding couple chooses not to purchase additional ceremony and/or reception amenities, the credit can then be applied toward any room charges upon check out, including but not limited to phone charges, spa treatments and logo shop purchases. Any remaining credit balance will be refunded in the form of the original payment. Cancellation Policy: The wedding can be canceled six or more months prior to the confirmed date without penalties. If the wedding is canceled within six months, the non-refundable deposit will be kept as a penalty. If the wedding is canceled, but the couple still travels as planned, the deposit can then be applied toward any additional room charges made during their stay. Payment Options The entire payment must be paid in full two days prior to the wedding, after the first meeting with the wedding coordinator. The final wedding payment must be paid with debit or credit card. Payments with traveler checks (American Express) require a passport. The following credit cards will be accepted: Visa, Mastercard or American Express. 36

37 4 Witnesses are required In order to be legally married in Cancun, there are a few requirements you need. Bride, Groom & Witnesses must arrive to Cancun 4 working days prior to the wedding day (Saturdays, Sundays & Mexican Holidays do not count), the wedding coordinator must receive the following documents in order to start the corresponding application for a marriage in the Civil Registry Office. Symbolic and non-legal ceremonies allow flexibility for arrival date. Please speak with the wedding coordinator to discuss requirements. Requirements: Legal form completed with the names, addresses, nationalities, ages, occupation, relationship, for bride, groom. Wedding Coordinator will send you the legal form. The Marriage Certificate is only valid in Mexico. In order to make it legal internationally, it the wedding coordinator will send a copy of your License to Validation Process. Upon determined fee with a translated copy in English. The process may take up to 1-4 months. Once the document is apostilled and translated into English the Hotel will send all documentation to your home address. None of the above mentioned services are included in our Wedding Packages. It is the couple s responsibility to have all the documents ready before the wedding. Tourist card (you will get them at your arrival to the Cancun airport). Birth Certificates (Bride & Groom) Those documents should be translated into Spanish at the determined rate per birth certificate, translation must be done here in Mexico, otherwise will not be valid. Valid Passports (This is essential, otherwise the wedding cannot be performed). Judge fee $650USD The blood tests are taken in Mexico; they are not valid if it is taken elsewhere. To be considered valid the test should not be taken more than 14 days prior to the ceremony. The blood will be tested for HIV, RPR (sexually transmitted diseases) and blood type. The results will be ready in 24 hours together with a certificate of the blood test and the charge will be $300 USD+ 11% tax per couple. 37
