Early on, it was apparent that the vision we had for ourselves was similar to the visions F4SS and our fellow members had for themselves. Quite simply, we saw the great potential that this organization has and we wanted to be a valued contributor to it. F4SS has established an outstanding forum, representing both CPG marketers and contract manufacturers. Before positive change can happen, the agents of change need to come together and agree on priorities. Over the past few years, F4SS has brought together leading companies within the industry and has established a forum for the top issues, facing the industry, to be brought forward and addressed. This forum has improved relationships, spawned new ideas, and is moving the industry forward at a pace that is far greater than would have occurred without F4SS. What do you see as F4SS opportunities in the coming years? The foundation for F4SS has been firmly established over the last few years and the roadmap for the coming years is in place. The work that has been done so far by several of the committees shows what is possible. The greatest opportunities in the years ahead are for members to begin realizing the benefits of F4SS tools and the network of people who form F4SS.

2 Why do you think you are a good candidate for Board of Directors? I am a good candidate for the Board of Directors because I have a unique background and perspective from both the CPG and contract manufacturing points of view. Over my career, I have worked in multiple leadership roles for two large CPG companies, including management responsibility for external manufacturing. My current role is as a leader of a large contract manufacturer that is providing service to many of the top CPG companies. To date, I have been very active in a number of F4SS initiatives. I believe that my dual perspective and past experiences have served the organization well. I also have a strong personal desire to improve this industry for the long term and to maintain our country s competitiveness and provide opportunities for others. Two key things are needed at this point in time for F4SS to continue to grow and be a relevant industry force. First, the tools that have been created need widespread adoption. Second, we need to continue to recruit additional members who are aligned with the goals of the organization. I have demonstrated a strong commitment to both of these and will continue to do so if elected to a leadership position. I sincerely appreciate all of the great work F4SS has done and the many friendships that I have developed in my time with the organization. If elected, I assure you that you will have my strong commitment to keep F4SS growing and evolving to meet the needs of its member companies now and for years to come.

4 What do you believe F4SS has accomplished over the past few years? I believe the F4SS most significant accomplishment is changing the relationship paradigm between customers and suppliers. As a result of the F4SS there has been improved communication and deeper understanding of the issues affecting our industry. The F4SS has facilitated an open dialog in our industry with which to address new concepts that create value by fostering continuous improvement. Trust and collaboration in our industry has improved as a direct result of the work of the F4SS. What do you see as F4SS opportunities in the coming years? As the F4SS continues to serve its members, the work performed will enrich the industry by building better suppliers, offering new tools and training opportunities, and facilitating forums for collaboration and dialog. These efforts will produce best in class suppliers capable of meeting customer expectations through the adoption of standardized best practices and a focus on continuous improvement. We are at the beginning of this journey and have a significant amount of work ahead. In the future, I envision an organization that will be indispensible to our industry while continuing to serve its members with excellence by offering compelling opportunities to reduce cost and improve efficiency across an international supply chain. Why do you think you are a good candidate for Board of Directors? With over 30 years experience in contract manufacturing and having held positions in quality, operations and sales I have a deep understanding of the challenges our industry faces. As a current F4SS board member I am passionate about continuing the work we have begun and contributing to the overall success of the organization. We have only scratched the surface of what the F4SS will be in the future, I would be honored to have the opportunity to continue to serve the F4SS through the investment of my time, experience and effort as a board member. The F4SS is on a positive growth trajectory, I want to continue the work we have begun and be an integral part of the team that establishes the future vision for this wonderful enterprise. Being part of a team that is building world class customer/supplier processes and relationships is a very rewarding experience and one that I would very much like to continue. 5 F4SS Candidate Summary 2011 Election Name: Timothy (Tim) Koers Company Name: The Visual Pak Companies Member Since: 2009 My company is a member of F4SS because: The Visual Pak Companies are an expanding group of companies committed to delivering high value and high quality CPG customer solutions. Additionally, we desire to work cohesively with our peers in order to find new ways to solve old problems. This allows us, our peers, and our shared customer base to streamline transaction based activity to gain consistency which results in operational efficiency and ultimately reduces cost in the supply chain. Streamlining also allows all of us (CPG s and suppliers alike) to focus on the present and the future to create real value. In order to accomplish this we need to have a clear understanding of what the past, present and future challenges are that face not only our CPG customers but also our peer group. F4SS affords us a great vehicle to understand the market place and in return, offer our energy, best practices, and expertise to all those who participate with us. 6 What do you believe F4SS has accomplished over the past few years? F4SS has been in growth mode over the past few years. This growth is not only from the external membership of F4SS, but also within the internal F4SS staff. Such growth, while certainly advantageous economically to F4SS, also poses challenges regarding the strategy and execution of the organization. Don t get me wrong, F4SS has been completely on track with the goal of streamlining operations (Quality Assurance) and building relationships (CSOP) as well as the other initiative groups. These initiatives have resulted in significant savings for both the customers and suppliers who adopt the processes. The real challenge is how to optimize and manage the size of the group and initiative teams to extract maximum value. What do you see as F4SS opportunities in the coming years? Quite simply - wider adoption and recognition. This is where the rubber meets the road. We need to deliver good case studies of the results of the investment in F4SS. Take the show to the road if we have to. I have the great opportunity to visit with many day to day personnel and senior level executives at major CPG s and I am not yet comfortable with what I perceive is their lack of familiarity of F4SS. This is not saying we haven t penetrated deep enough within the CPG organizations. We certainly have, just look at our member list; but given the CPG propensity to turn lower level employees and the vast career opportunities senior level executives have, we need to embed the F4SS methodologies within the CPG s themselves. Industry recognition is going to be paramount to push this as well. Lisa is doing a good job taking the message to the road through the various industry events such as CPA, Pack Expo, etc. but we need to gain more critical mass with the objective (and measurement) of wider adoption. Why do you think you are a good candidate for Board of Directors? I m a high energy (and thus somewhat distracted) results driven individual. I like to pivot on the daily challenges faced within the industry and we all know that is many. I like to seize the opportunity not for personal benefit but for professional satisfaction. My contributions will be intense yet meaningful. If that is a skill set desired by the F4SS board, then I am up for the challenge. We are not saving lives here but rather creating better lives for our employees, suppliers, customers, and all other stakeholders.

I am active in the field of external partnerships, I am passionate about making the relationships better for all parties.

10 We ve dramatically increased the membership in both numbers and scope of represented technologies; we ve effectively established a working forum for industry companies to discuss and resolve relevant issues; we ve developed and provided tools for member use in improving working relationships (TAC), elevating operating effectiveness (CSOP), and measuring and improving environmental sustainability (Sustainability Team); we ve established a working forum for continuous improvement via sharing best practices and specific examples from member operations(ci); we continue to provide education and insight from thought leaders during our conferences; we host a forum of CEOs to discuss and consider key industry challenges; we ve provided on- going initiative teams to actively identify issues and then to propose, consider and implement workable solutions to the industry s most challenging and common issues; we ve attempted to identify and influence retail and regulatory metrics and processes to better reflect and represent those of common interest and benefit to our members. What do you see as F4SS opportunities in the coming years? We must continue to address the value equation for our members to ensure their investment is well rewarded by direct benefits in savings and simplification, improved relationships, increased contacts, more innovation, and other ways. We must identify and offer solutions to the key emerging issues for our industry. We must continue to grow F4SS and consider the growth opportunities in terms of broader industry participation as well as geographic expansion potentially into other regions (to become more global). We must find ways to support our growth without increasing member cost and fees, and to keep conference costs at an attractive level while providing increasingly higher value and engaging content at our conferences to benefit participating members and guests. From our Initiative Teams we must find better ways to drive adoption of tools and processes developed within F4SS as this will facilitate the standardization and simplification we ve envisioned to elevate the overall effectiveness of our industry and especially for our F4SS membership. Why do you think you are a good candidate for Board of Directors? I represent a very large customer within the industry. Our company is a leader within F4SS via on- going Initiative Team participation and leadership. I have extensive experience in the industry over a long period, and I ve met and worked with most of the industry s key companies on both the customer and supplier side. I ve actively served on the Board of Directors of F4SS from its foundation, and I ve served as Chair of the Board for nearly four years. But most importantly I have a continuing PASSION and VISION regarding F4SS and believe that we can truly elevate the results and respect of the entire industry and especially our member companies as we tackle and overcome common issues and inefficiencies and identify ways to leverage our relationships and the talent of our collective companies. I thoroughly enjoy working with the Board of Directors, our Executive Director, and the entire F4SS membership and welcome the opportunity to continue to serve.
