1 Event Details Location, Cnr Old Cleveland Rd & Tilley Rd, Chandler Eligibility The Meet is open to SQ registered swimmers, members of Clubs affiliated with other State Associations and international swimmers who meet clearance criteria. Clearances Interstate & International Competitors Clearances must be submitted to before the nominations closing date. Interstate Interstate swimmers must obtain a clearance from their respective State association. International International swimmers/teams must supply a letter of clearance from their National Swimming Federation. International swimmers training with clubs in Australia must be nominated under their country name not the Australian club name. Age Age group of competitors for this meet is the age as at the first day of the Meet (20 th February 2016). Minimum age is 9 years. Rules All Swimming Queensland General Rules, Championship By-Laws, SAL & FINA Swim Rules apply. Events & Medals All events will be conducted as follows: Open Events Heats, Semi Finals & Finals 11 years to 17/18 years Heats & Finals 9 years & 10 years Timed Finals Multi Class Events Heats & Finals Medals will be awarded to age groups as follows: 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17/18, Open & Multi Class Events Medals will not be awarded if qualifying standards have not been met. Warm-up Start Time 7:30 a.m.

2 Event Details Photos In nominating for this Championships, swimmers agree that they may be photographed by Swimming Queensland approved photographers, that the images may be displayed for viewing and purchasing on site during the Championships and on the photographer s secure website after the Meet, and that they may also be used by Swimming Queensland at its discretion. Pool deck Entry (Coaches &Team Managers) Coaches must present either their current ascta membership card or pool deck accreditation pass to gain free entry to the meet and to access pool deck. Coaches who do not hold a current ascta membership card, Team Managers and support staff who have athletes competing and require a pool deck accreditation for access during the Meet MUST apply by ing admin.qld@swimming.org.au no later than 5pm Thursday 18 February for accreditation passes to be available for collection at the front ticketing desk during the Meet. Stadiums Queensland Ruling Please note that Stadiums Queensland rules state that bags/eskies permissible in the venue must meet the following conditions: Maximum bag/esky height: 40cm Max bag/esky width 40cm Max bag/esky depth 40cm Pliable nature (soft to touch) All other bags/eskies will be refused admission. All bags/eskies must be kept stowed under grandstand seats. Merchandise Make sure you visit the Swimming Queensland Merchandise Stand at the front gate and the Swimming Queensland Speedo Shop in the foyer of the centre. Both shops offer a great range of quality Speedo and Swimming Queensland products. Qualifying Times Qualifying times must have been achieved on or after 1 January Any nomination submitted with a time slower than the relevant qualifying time will not be accepted and the nomination fee will be forfeited. Short Course converted times will accepted. Entries will not be accepted unless the qualifying times have been swum at a long course qualifying meet prior to the closing date for this meet (Monday, 8 February 2016). Entries submitted with no time or NT will not be accepted. Penalties Any nomination submitted with a time slower than the relevant qualifying time will NOT be accepted and the nomination fee will be forfeited. A penalty of $25.00 per event will apply if qualifying times are not met at the Championships. (Clubs that can verify that swimmers attained qualifying standards at sanctioned long course meets, prior to the Championships closing date, will receive an exemption).

3 Event Details Special Notes The Referee and Technical Manager have authority to control heats at their discretion and may combine heats to be swum as a straight final. In age group finals, eight lanes will be reserved for Queensland competitors. Seven lanes will be reserved for Queensland competitors in Open finals. Finals may not necessarily follow heat order. This may change at the discretion of the Technical Manager. Multi Class Events There are no Qualifying Times for Multi Class events.

4 Entry Procedure Entry Information Entries for these Championships are available via Online Meet Entries, Team Manager and Manual Entry Forms (International swimmers only) formats. How to enter via OME click here OME closes Midnight, Monday 8 February Team Manager Entries If unable to use OME, you can continue to use Team Manager Files. The Team Manager file must not contain any entries that have been processed using the OME portal (no duplicate entries). Entries may only be submitted by Race Secretaries of an affiliated Club or International Team using a Team Manager Entry File. The Team Manager File is found here. Individuals must contact their Club in order to complete the nomination process. Swimming Queensland will not accept entries from individual members. Club Team Manager Entry files must be received by Midnight, Monday 8 February Entries may only be submitted by the Nominations Officer of an affiliated Club or International Team. Entries will not be accepted from individual members. Please ensure:- You are using the correct CLUB CODE (list found in title) All athletes are entered using their full name and correct DOB as per their membership information. (Note: if this information is not correct the results may not match to the athletes results history in Results Central) Meet Manager ID are correct (Instructions on Meet Manager ID can be found here) All competitors are registered members of Swimming Australia (export instructions found here). 5 Entry Procedure Entries will not be accepted unless the qualifying times have been swum at an approved qualifying meet between 1 January 2015 and the Championships closing date (Please refer to the Swimming Queensland Happening Calendar for approved meets). Please consult the Program of Events for a list of events that are permitted to use times from non-qualifying meets, club nights or club championships. No times or NT are NOT ACCEPTABLE. Late entries will be accepted in the timing room up until ½ hour before the commencement of the first day of competition. Late entries are subject to lane availability in the event, and may result in swimmers being entered in the slowest heat.
