Whoever has said this probably forgot a crucial point it is your beauty that captures everyone s attention According to Emerson, Beauty is God s handwriting. However, by taking little extra care, you can enhance your appearance Who doesn t want to hear the oohs and aahs from friends? After all healthy and glowing skin is your birthright Here are a few tips for better skin care Everyone wants his or her skin to be healthy, glowing, and young looking. Irrespective of whether you are young or old, male or female, your skin actually says quite a lot about you. Your skin is the fingerprint of whatever is happening within your body. All skin conditions ranging from psoriasis to acne to aging are nothing but indications of your body s internal changes. We are all born with beautiful skin. The skin is a major part of your body. I m sure, you will definitely want it to look good. It is the most noticed part of your body. Unfortunately, it is your skin that comes under the real battering. It gets affected by weather conditions, pollution, unhealthy diet, and also dehydration. It is always your skin that shows the effects of everyday life exposure. Mostly, you are so busy with life that you are left with very little time to take care of your skin. The result it is no longer the baby soft skin you were born with. As you grow older, it is quite natural for your skin to become thinner and develop fine wrinkling. As you age, the oil producing glands in your skin becomes less active and this makes your skin drier. Along with this, the number of blood vessels in your skin becomes fewer. Your skin is more fragile, and with time, it loses its youthful color and glow. Although these changes cannot be totally avoided, their effects can be delayed and many skin problems can be prevented by taking good and proper care of your skin. What is your skin type? The type of skin care you need depends on the type of your skin. Keep in mind that what works for somebody may not necessarily work for you. Your skin may belong to any of the following groups. Dry skin Your skin feels tight and rough. It is better to avoid cleansing with hot water, soaps, and alcohol based products instead use cleansing creams and soft cloth. Always take care to moisturize your skin. This will help to keep it hydrated and look its best always! Oily skin This type of skin appears shiny and makes it prone to develop blackheads and pimples. Avoid over scrubbing and remember to use a mild cleanser at least twice a day. Seek help from a dermatologist,
3 if acne becomes a problem. Try avoiding the use of oil based cosmetics, as they promote the development of blackheads and pimples. lukewarm water. Avoid using facecleansing gels or soaps, which contain drying alcohol, preservatives, or strong acting acid. Exfoliating scrubs and astringents can also irritate your skin. Combination skin Some areas on your skin are dry, while others are oily. Nowadays many products are available that can be applied or used on both the areas. Normal skin You are really lucky to have this type of skin that has a total balance between both dryness and oiliness. Your skin will have a natural pinkish, glowing complexion. Such skins pose very little problems. You can use skin care products, which will help to maintain the water balance of your skin. Sensitive skin This type of skin poses a real problem. Be careful to use only mild skin care products. Always test the products on the skin of your arm before using them. It is better to cleanse your skin using gentle, milky water soluble lotions and To do list Taking good care of your skin will not only help to delay the natural process of aging but will also help to prevent many skin problems. Simple skin care habits will protect your skin and help to maintain its health and glow for many years to come. You want a healthy skin, don t you? Here are a few tips that will help you. Protect your skin from the sun The ultraviolet rays of the sun causes damage to your skin and can result in deep wrinkles, dry skin, liver spots, or even serious problems like skin cancer. Are you aware that actually most skin changes, which are attributed to aging are the result of lifetime exposure to the sun. Avoid going outdoors, when the intensity of the sun is high especially between 10 AM to 4 PM. Be careful to wear sun protective clothing like long sleeved shirts/kurta, long pants/salwar, and wide brimmed hats/scarf when going out in the sun.
4 Never forget to use a broad spectrum sunscreen having a sun protection factor (SPF) greater than 15, about 20 minutes before going out in the sun. Rest assured that these methods can work wonders for you. After washing or bathing, always pat your skin dry with a towel. Remember to moisturize your skin using an oil or cream soon after. Moisturize your skin Avoid smoking Smoking actually speeds up the process of aging of your skin and appearance of wrinkles. Skin changes start appearing within 10 years of smoking. The facial expressions that you make while you smoke can lead to wrinkles. Moreover, the exposure to heat from cigarettes can cause damage to your skin over a period of time. Wash your skin carefully and gently Gentle cleansing of the skin is an important part of any skin care. You can start by using warm water and limiting your bath time. Avoid using strong soaps, hot water, and irritating additives. Eye makeup should be removed carefully or it might cause damage to the soft tissues around your eye. Moisturizing your skin regularly helps in maintaining the natural moisture levels of your skin. It acts like a seal over the skin and prevents loss of moisture. In fact, they help to keep your skin smooth and soft. Shave carefully Before shaving hold a warm washcloth against your skin to soften the hair. Always lubricate your skin using shaving cream, lotion, or gel before shaving. Use a clean, sharp razor and shave in the direction of the hair growth and rinse your skin thereafter using warm water. Diet Drinking plenty of water and eating a well balanced diet are essential for a healthy and glowing skin. Vitamin A rich foods like carrots, dark green leafy vegetables, liver, and fish liver oil and vitamin C rich foods like
