2 Carrier Ethernet E_Access Overview Provides wholesale carriers access to the Windstream Ethernet footprint through strategically placed interconnection points without LATA constraints Leverages Windstream s MPLS and Ethernet infrastructure Based on MEF 33 Ethernet Access Service Definitions MEF 1.0 and MEF 2.0 Certified solution Supports both E-Access EVPL (Ethernet Virtual Private Line) and E-Access EPL (Ethernet Private Line) configurations 2

3 Carrier Ethernet E_Access Overview: Service Types E-Access EVPL - A VLAN based service that allows multiple service instances to be configured at the UNI interface. This service will require an OVC endpoint map for each OVC to specify how service frames are mapped at the UNI. In addition, the S-VLAN ID value will need to be coordinated between Windstream and the Wholesale customer. 3

4 Carrier Ethernet E_Access Overview: Service Types E-Access EPL - A port based service with a high degree of transparency. As a transparent service there is no need to coordinate a detailed CE-VLAN ID to OVC mapping. All service frames at the UNI will be mapped to a single OVC; however, the S-VLAN ID at the E- NNI is preserved and will need to be coordinated. 4
