2 My Gateway Dreaming Journal Welcome to the Gateway Dreaming Certification Program. This journal template is a tool to enable you to access the depths of your dreams. Recording your dreams will allow you to better remember and interpret the dreams. The pages are purposefully not numbered (as in 1-31 for the days of the month), no pressure if you miss a night! Utilize your own numbering. There is room at the lower right corner of the header that will allow you to write the date, your dream name, whatever you desire. Also, pages are lightly lined and blank to encourage your creative expression. Open the PDF document, using the free Adobe Reader available from Then print as many copies of each of the pages as you wish. Ways to Utilize Your Gateway Dreaming Journal Template Select a binder that sings to you. There are many beautiful binders available now at office supply stores, specialty stores, and even your corner mass-market store. There are also binders that have a clear front pocket, you could then print the first page and slip it down into the front. Print the pages as needed. Punch holes in the side of the pages and insert them into the binder. You may even decide to add dividers and separate the journal into weekly partitions. Many of these dividers have pockets that you can tuck cards and such into. The sky is the limit as per embellishments. Add stickers, use colored pencils, markers, photographs, anything you are moved to add. Keep your Gateway Dreaming Journal right beside your bed, with a pen or pencil attached to it. Have a small night light, book light or even a flashlight handy to enable you to jot down dreams that may awaken you during the night. This also keeps you from becoming fully awake. You might want to use the blank pages for hastily written notes and recollections. Then you can use the lined pages for your more complete interpretations and journaling about the specific aspects of the dream. Refer to pages 50-51, and 170 in The Hidden Power of Dreams for more complete information on how to get the most from Your Gateway Dreaming Journal. 3 How to Set-Up Your Dream Journal 1 Here is where you write your interpretation of the dream. Note everything that you can remember, every word or image. Write the first thing that comes into your head even if it doesn t seem like a dream. Note your feelings while involved in the dream. Record anything you heard. Note colors, symbols, key words, themes, and emotions.

14 Dream Tip: As you fall asleep visualize yourself waking up, looking at the clock, noting the time, and writing down a dream. ~Denise

15 Dream Tip: If you do not easily recall your dreams, try changing your position as you sleep, as this will often spontaneously generate dream images. ~Denise

16 Dream Tip: If you don t remember anything, write: I don t remember my dream. This will often stimulate dream recall. ~Denise

17 Dream Tip: If you didn t remember your dream, begin to doodle here in your journal, as this will often trigger dream recall. ~Denise
