2 HIMSS Turkey, a joint initiative between the Turkish Ministry of Health and HIMSS, wrapped up recently to enthusiastic praise. Over 1,100 participants, including 33 speakers and moderators, attended the event. HIMSS Turkey brought together people from Asia, the Middle East, Europe and the United States to discuss the latest trends demonstrating outstanding levels of health IT implementation, ensuring superior healthcare services and much increased patient safety. The Conference is the first in a series of five Conferences, which will showcase the results of the Turkish EMRAM data collection, which HIMSS is collecting on behalf of the Turkish Ministry of Health. The goal is to have all 850 public Turkish Hospitals in the HIMSS Analytics database by Presently Turkey scores 3.3 on average on the EMRAM scale compared to the EU average of 2.7.
