2 The Brazilian Machinery Builder s Association Founded in 1975, ABIMAQ Brazilian Machinery Manufacturers Builders Association is one of the most important entities in the Brazilian industrial sector. Our mission: ABIMAQ is a representative entity of the strategic Brazilian machinery and equipment Industry, prioritizing the national interests against those pertaining to sectors and the collectives against the individual ones. Our Mission is, while acting in an independent way, to promote the sustainable development in the sector, through political institutional products, services and acts that contribute to: systemic and enterprise competitiveness; finance production and trade; and promote the growth of business in the national and international markets

12 Fairs Support in Brazil The ABIMAQ s Fair Council has the purpose of improve the sector's participation at fairs, by using more rigid criteria for selecting events to be supported by ABIMAQ. ABIMAQ supported around 40 fairs held throughout Brazil during 2011, and estimates the same for 2012.

13 Legal Department The ABIMAQ s Legal Department assists associates with labor, civil, commercial and tax consultations, as well as representing associates in collective negotiations with metallurgical unions and other specific organizations

14 Financing Through its relationship with promotion agencies and commercially banks, ABIMAQ is continually seeking new financial options for commercializing machinery and equipment and working capital for companies. ABIMAQ l i t i ti t ith i fi i l i tit ti i i t ABIMAQ also maintains cooperation agreements with various financial institutions, aiming at facilitating associated companies access to their lines of credit and financial support programs.

15 Department of Competitiveness, Economy and Statisticsti ti The ABIMAQ s associates have access to an expansive database of economic indicators and statistical data on the machinery and equipment sector's performance, which is prepared by ABIMAQ sdepartment of Competitiveness, Economy and Statistics each month. Besides the database, this department also realizes researches and special studies with the purpose of increase the information about the machinery and equipment industry, and with that, assist the elaboration of the sectors policies.

16 IPDMAQ Theinnovation Agency The Institute for Research and Technological Development for the Machinery and Equipment The Institute for Research and Technological Development for the Machinery and Equipment Industry (IPDMAQ) works with the aim of guiding companies in the capital goods sector on the preparation process for innovative projects and bringing them in closer proximity with institutions that support the country's industrial modernization.

17 Courses and Training The ABIMAQ Technology Board, through the Department for Management Modernizing (DEMG), offers training programs to machinery and equipment manufacturers concerned with the continuous corporate learning system in the sector, contributing to increasing the sector s competitiveness. Some of aborted subjects: Sales and Marketing, International Business, Industrial Operations, Negotiations Techniques, Participative Administration, Information Management And others.

18 DATAMAQ Containing information on more than 4,500 registered companies, Datamaq is the largest machinery and equipment database in Latin America. Its ease of use and consultation allows to look for detailed information on the products of their interest among abroadrange of options. This has been a fundamental tool for ABIMAQ associated companies to carry out new business.

19 B2B Portal The ABIMAQ s B2B portal is the biggest private center of references and commercial consultancy of Latin America, and is dedicated to promote the national industry of Machinery and Equipment, by offering associates exclusive advantages when purchasing products and contracting services from partner companies.

20 The Foreign Market Companies associated to ABIMAQ have access to a wide range of services offered by the Foreign Market Department (DEME), which is dedicated to facilitating the acquisition of new markets outside of the country. DEME works in the following areas: Foreign Trade Operations Consultancy for export and import operations Support to export Defense of the Domestic Market Analysis and preparation processes by using traditional instruments as antidumping, safeguards and countervailing measures. Actions of inhibition and restraint of fraudulent imports. International Agreements Monitoring of the ongoing international agreements Elaboration of specific studies related to granted tariffs and benefits

22 Brazil Machinery Solutions Result of a partnership between the ABIMAQ and Apex Brazil Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency, The Brazil Machinery Solutions Program focuses on the promotion of Brazilian exports of machinery and equipment, as well as the strengthening of Brazil s image as a manufacturer of mechanical capital goods, which is a segment already recognizeded as one of the largest and most important in the Brazilian industry.

23 Brazil Machinery Solutions Actions The Brazil Machinery Solutions Program performs various actions with its partners, aiming at further contact between Brazilian manufacturers and foreign buyers. Made in different formats, they have one single purpose: Promoting and boosting Brazilian exports through direct contact with specific markets. See below some of the actions promoted by the Program: Warmup Warm Up is a relationship event held in Argentina, Chile, Peru and Colombia prior to some of the major fairs held in these countries, intended to facilitate the contact of Brazilian businessmen with customers that will visit such fairs. International Fairs The participation in fairs overseas is one of the most far reaching and successful actions of the Project. It funds the area and setting up of Brazil pavilion in international events and provides an expert consultant that monitors the entire action.

24 The Energy City Project The Energy City is a project of a complex to be developed at the city of São Carlos SP, aiming the diffusion of the scientific, technological and commercial knowledge of the Clean andrenewable Energy System. One Exposition Center covered, divided in 4 modules One Convention Center Permanent fairs for the experimental operations of new energy forms. Permanent company stands Cultivars Showcase Hotel.
