18 21 - RACE OBJECTIVES The objective of the race is to navigate the aerial race track in the fastest possible time incurring as few penalties as possible. Throughout the course of the race each drone must do the following: Overcome all obstacles found on the aerial track. Make a mandatory minimum of one Pit Stop per Race, failure to make a single pit stop will be viewed as incompletion of race and it will be cause for disqualification. Take one Joker Lane during the race, at any time during the course of the race, with the exception of the final lap. Maintain drones in the track at all times. For the avoidance of doubt the track marking and boundaries that can be found throughout the length of the track must be used for reference RACE REGULATIONS Should the pilot miss an obstacle, the Pilot must retake the same obstacle within the same lap. A missed obstacle must be retaken or the lap does not count. In order to retake the obstacle, the Pilot will need to go back and thus leave the boundaries of the track. It is the Navigator s responsibility to advise the Pilot on when it s safe to rejoin. A pilot cannot rejoin the track at the risk of other competitors found on the track. Should a drone go off the track, the Pilot may only rejoin if the Navigator has ensured no other drone is put at risk. Off track is outside the boundaries of the track as determined by the track itself. Re-entering may only be done without gaining any lasting advantage. At the absolute discretion of the race director, a Pilot may be given the opportunity to give back the whole of any advantage he gained by leaving the track. Precise timing and rounding methods must be specified prior to the start of the race. Times generated by digital watches must be recorded in minutes and seconds, and then converted to seconds, rounded to the nearest one-hundredth second. For the calculation of the results, the following formula applies: Time in seconds + Penalties = Result 18 of 22

19 All teams must begin the Race at their designated starting positions based upon Qualifications DEFENDING POSITION Any Pilot defending drone position on a straight portion of the track may use the full width of the track during his first move.
