1 Industrial Archaeology in, Restoration, Sustainable and Integrated High-Level National Conference: Industrial Archaeology in, Restoration, Sustainable and Integrated The Department of Architecture of Marin Barleti University in partnership with Polytechnic University of Bari and the contribution of prominent national and international public figures and academics, is organizing on the 21 th of February, 2014 at 12 00, a high-level conference on: Industrial Archaeology in : Sustainable and Integrated. The conference aims at the creation of an evidence-based model in which industrial archaeology and creativity are recognized as potential resources that can guarantee a sustainable and integrated development. We aim to reveal ideas and alternative visions on necessary changes that may improve s re-valorisation of the industrial areas in. The conference will act as an open space to accommodate intellectual voices in assessing current issues related to the identity and protection of s heritage, sustainability and integration of inherited industrial areas and their surrounding, characteristics of industrial areas, urban analyzes and the relations of cities with surrounding industrial areas.

Today, the challenge rests on how to put industrial spaces back into function.
