Prayer Points for 50 Days of Worship Greater St. Louis Area March 25 through May 13, Mountain Strategy Grid General focus for 50 days of prayer and worship: 1. The first overall goal will be to release light into each mountain. (Gen. 1:3-4; Ex. 13:21; Ps. 27:1; 36:9; 37:6; 89:15; 119:105; Prov. 6:23; Is. 9:2; 58:8-12; 60:1-3, 20: Mt. 5:14-16; Lk. 11:34-36; Jn. 1:1-9; 3:19-21; 8:12; 12:35-36, 46; Acts. 26:18; II Cor. 4:4-6) Releasing light will open the eyes of those who are spiritually blind in order that they may respond to the Gospel. (Is. 60:1-3) Releasing light will cause the church to have clearer insight to God s over-arching purposes and to his current-day strategies. (I Chron. 12:32; Mt. 13:52; Eph. 1:15-23; 3:8-11) Releasing light will enable believers, whom God has placed within the cultural mountains, to see solutions to problems within their spheres of influence and thus speak Kingdom truth to their mountain. (Gen. 41: 14-15, 39-44) 2. Special emphasis will be given to dismantling structures planted by the forces of darkness in an attempt to build a kingdom that opposes the Kingdom of God. (Gen. 3:15; 11:5-9; Ps. 5:8-10; 37:1-2, 7-11, 20-22, 35-38; Prov. 13:9; Ecc.2:13-14; Is. 5:20-24; 14:12-20; Ez. 28:14-19; Eph. 3:9-11; 6:10-18; Col. 2:13-15; I Pet.3:21-22; Rev. 11:15) The Devil seeks worship, therefore he uses men to erect altars and temples for his counterfeit worship. (Ex. 34:12-14; Deut. 12:3-3; I Ki. 18:21-24; II Ki. 17:9-12) The Devil seeks to establish dominance on the cultural mountains by enticing pride and lust in men who operate from corrupt hearts and minds. (Job 41: leviathan; Ps. 59:12; 73:6; Prov. 8:13; 14:3; 16:18; Ez. 16:49, 56; Dan. 5:20; Rom. 8:7; Eph. 2:2-3; James 1:14-15; 4:1-3; II Pet. 1:4; I Jn. 2:16) God pronounces the destruction of the headship of the serpent, of his followers, and of his earthly institutions. (Gen. 3:15; Job 21:17-21; Ps. 1:4-5; 36:12; Is. 5:20-24; Mt. 13: 26-30, 47-50; II Pet. 2:4-9; Rev. 12:10; 18:21) 3. Particular to the St. Louis and the Bi-State region and linking with the prayer work accomplished in Chicago, the following strongholds will be targeted: kingpins, corruption, and violence, which lead to bondage and servitude in all areas of culture including physical and mental illness and poverty. 1

Kingpins are those persons who seek to rule the lives of others by establishing hierarchal organizations where the headship of the leader is maintained through coercive methods upon the members of the organization, e.g. gangs or mafia. (I Ki. 21:5-16; Num. 15:30; Ps. 19:13; 73:3-12; 86:14; 101:5; 119:78; Prov. 6:16-19; 16:5; 21:4, 24; Is. 13:11; Mal. 4:1; Mt. 20:25) Corruption is the outworking of moral perversions and legal dishonesty into the systems or organizations of men; it is the impairment of integrity, virtue, and morality, which are opposite qualities of holiness. (Gen. 6:12; Deut. 9:12; Jud. 2:19; Ps. 14:1; Mt. 7:17-18; Gal. 6:8; Eph. 4:22; II Pet. 2:9-19; Rev. 19:2) Violence is the unjust and unlawful exertion of force or power, which causes emotional, physical, relational, and social injury; and violence is frequently the force used by a kingpin to maintain his power and enforce his corrupt agendas. (Gen. 6:13; Lev. 6:1-5; Ps. 11:5; 55:9-11; 58:1-5; Prov. 4:14-17; 10:6; 13:2; Is. 59:6; Jer. 22:17; Jonah 3:8; Micah 2:1-3; Hab. 2:6-12) 4. Prayer and worship will be aimed at releasing and strengthening structures that are in harmony with the will of God and His Kingdom. (Deut. 28:1; 30:9; Ps. 22:28; 46:6; 69:35; 79:6; 103:19; 145:13; Is. 2:2-4; 25:8; 35:3-4; 41:10-18; Joel 2:23-27; Mt. 6:33; 12:25; 16:18-19; Rom. 14:17; Eph.5:13; I Jn. 1:5) Worship saturates the atmosphere with clouds of praise and creates a platform for God s glory to be manifested. (Ex. 13:4; II Sam. 22:7-13; II Chron. 7:1-3; Job 36:27-29; Ps. 22:3; 104:1-3) Proclamation of blessing upon the works of men that are in harmony with the Word of God secures reward, promotion, and protection. (Gen. 12:3; Num. 6:24-26; Deut. 8:10; 28:1-14; Ps. 5:12; 28:9; 29:11; 34:1; 37:22; 67:1-7; 68:19; 112:2) 1. Who owns the earth? General principles for taking authority on the 7 Mountains: God is the Creator (Gen.1:1; Gen. 2:4; 2 Ki. 19:15; I Chron. 19:11; Neh. 9:6; Ps. 24:1; 104:24; 134:3; Pr. 3:19; Is. 37:16; 40:28; 42:5; 44:24; 45:18; Jer. 32:17; Acts. 4:24; 17:24; I Cor. 10:26; Heb. 1:10) God is the possessor of Heaven and Earth (Gen. 14:22; Deut. 10:14; Ps. 99:1) God upholds the world by the Word of His power (I Sam.2:8; Col. 1:16-17; Heb. 1:3) 2. Who is given legal stewardship of the earth? 2

Jesus became man in the womb of Mary to fulfill the promises given to the Davidic lineage of a king who would sit upon an everlasting throne. (II Sam. 7:12-17; I Ki. 8:25; I Ki. 9:5; II Chron. 7:18; Ps. 132:11; Is. 9:7; Lk. 1:30-33; Mt. 1:1) In His ascension, Christ took His throne at the right hand of God and began his reign as King of the Kingdom. (Ps. 2: 6-12; Is. 9:6; Dan. 2:37-45; 7:13-14; Acts 2:25-36; 13:33-37; Ps. 110: 1-7; Mt. 22:41-46; Mk. 12:35-37; Heb. 1:13; 10:12-13; Acts 1:9-11) Christ appointed His church as ambassadors to represent His Kingdom interest on earth. (Mk. 13:34; Lk. 9:1; Mt. 10:1; Lk. 10:1, 17; Mt. 21:42-43; 28:18-20; Mk. 16:15-20; Acts 1:8; 5:12-16; II Cor. 5:18-20; Rev. 1:6; 5:10) 3. How does the Kingdom advance? The rule of Christ and, thus, His kingdom advances first and foremost internally into the hearts of men through the new birth. (Mk. 16:15-18; Lk. 17:20-21; Jn. 3:1-7; 4:13-14; 5:24-27; Col. 1:21-22; Eph. 2:2-5) Christ s ambassadors, who have the rule of Christ within their hearts, are commissioned to advance the Kingdom into all spheres of human culture through teaching God s commandments and demonstrating the more excellent ways of the Kingdom. (Mt. 28: 18-20; Acts. 1:8; 2:42-47; Deut. 6:1-11; 11:8-25; 28:1-14; Prov. 29:2; Ps. 1; 37:1-11, 28-29; Rev. 11:15) As God s people take the responsibility to solve problems within culture, they will be promoted to higher places of influence and will be afforded higher platforms from which to build culture in harmony with God s commandments. (Joseph with Potiphar and Pharaoh; Daniel with Nebuchadnezzar and Darius; David with Goliath; Solomon and the Queen of Sheba; Judges like Gideon and Deborah) 4. What are the tools of Kingdom advancement? God s ambassadors are commissioned to pray for the Kingdom to come. (Mt.6: 9-15; 16:19; 18:18; Mk. 11:23-26; I Tim. 2:1-8; Ps. 149:5-9; Rev. 8: 2-5) God s ambassadors are commissioned to make disciples through instruction in God s Word. (Mt. 28:19-20; Rom. 12:2; Deut. 8:3; Mt. 4:4; Ps.119:11, 89, 105, 160, 172; Prov. 13:13; Is. 55:8-13; Jn. 8:31-32; 17:17; Acts. 17:10-11; 18:11; 19:10; Eph. 5:26-27; I Thess. 2:13; II Tim. 2:15; Titus 1:9; Heb. 4:12; James 1:21; I Pet. 1:25; Rev. 12:11) God s servants are commanded to build the earth after the heavenly pattern found in God s Word. (Gen. 1:26-28; 2:15-17; Ex. 25:19; I Chron. 28:11-19; Heb. 8:5; Deut. 4:1-14) 5. What are the results of Kingdom advancement? 3

As God s Word is applied, the people of the earth will be touched by the river of life; and many will hear, believe, and come to life. (Jn. 7:37-39; Ez. 47:1-12; Rev. 22:1-2; Acts. 1:8) As God s Word is applied to the earth, the earth will be prosperous and the curse will begin to roll away. (Ez. 36:33-36; Is. 51:3-6; 58:11; 61:11; Jer. 31:12; Rom. 8:19-21) As God s Word is applied to the earth, the inhabitant will begin to experience peace. (Num. 6:26; Ps. 4:8; 29:11; 34:14; 37:11, 37; 72:2-8; 85:9-13; Is. 9:6-7; 32:17; 52:7; 53:5) As God s Word is applied to the earth, the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord. (Num. 14:21: Is. 11:9; 61:11; Hab. 2:14; Deut.28:1-14) 7 Mountain Strategy Grid Revelation 5:12: Worthy is the Lamb who was slain to receive power and riches and wisdom and strength and honor and glory and blessing. These seven attributes of majesty that He is worthy to receive each coincide with the seven main pillars of every nation s culture or society. When we speak of discipling the nations, we are speaking of these seven pillars of society that the Lamb is worthy to receive! After researching the original Greek meanings of these words, it became evident to me that power speaks of Government; riches speaks of Economy; wisdom speaks of Education; strength speaks of Family; honor speaks of Religion; and glory speaks of Celebration (Arts and Entertainment); and blessings speaks of Media. The Lamb was slain, making the ultimate sacrifice, to enable us to disciple, or instruct, the nations in theses seven foundations of culture so that we would in turn deliver them to Him, thus fulfilling Revelations 11:15: The kingdoms of this world have become the kingdoms of our Lord and His Christ, and He shall reign forever and ever!... He left earth so that He could send us the same Holy Spirit that was powerful enough to raise Him from the dead, in order that we would be able to fulfill His mandate to go, therefore and disciple all nations.... The seven mountains or arenas of influence are not the only seven in our societies, but they are the specific arenas that God is giving us favor to retake and bring under the influence of Christ. (The Seven Mountain Prophecy, by Johnny Enlow, pgs. 9-11) Mountain #1 Religion (The mountain of honor) General Principles of the Religious Mountain 1. What place of influence does religion hold over the other mountains? Religion is the first mountain of influence over the culture as scripture declares: And it shall come to pass in the last days, that the mountain of the Lord's house shall be established in the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all 4

nations shall flow unto it. And many people shall go and say, Come ye, and let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem. And he shall judge among the nations, and shall rebuke many people: and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning hooks: nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war anymore. (Isaiah 2:2-4 KJV) Religion provides the gate to heaven as seen when Jacob awakened under an open heaven and saw the ladder on which angels ascended and descended between the natural earth and the heavenly or spiritual dimension. He declared the place to be Bethel the house of God. (Gen. 28:10-19) Religion is the pillar and ground of truth, meaning religion is responsible to maintain and support a sure foundation of God s eternal realities and is accountable to reveal those truths to mankind, thus providing the blueprints for all seven mountains. (I Tim. 3:15; Mt. 7: 24-27) 2. What does religion offer to culture? Religion helps to facilitate the destiny of the saints and equip them to steward the other mountains with kingdom realities. (Deut. 6:1-18; 28:1-14; Eph. 4:7-16) Every mountain must be invaded from within by those with God s assignment for that area and by those who have trained themselves in the specific skills and language, which pertain to that mountain. (Prov. 24:3-5; Ex. 31:3 Bezaleel; I Ki. 4:29 Solomon; I Sam. 16:13 David; Gen. 41:39-44 Joseph; Dan. 2:46-49 Daniel, Rom. 11:29; 12:6; I Cor. 7:20; Eph. 2:10) 3. God s church is one of three human institutions that possess God s representative authority to exercise disciple in His name. These institutions are the church, the state, and the family; and although their spheres overlap, the government of each sphere is selfcontained and God-ordered. Biblical government is layered by a set of appeal courts that insure a process of discovery, a fair hearing for the accused, and impartial judgments. (Ex. 18:13-26; Mt. 18:15-20; I Cor. 6:1-6) The church has the God-ordained sanction of excommunication, which serves to set the non-repentant sinner outside of community and away from the communion table thus effectively binding such a one to his sins until repentance is forthcoming. (Mt. 18:17-19; I Cor. 5;1-6; II Cor. 2:5-11) 4. Although Christ is legally the enthroned king of all the earth, each mountain is under a demonic assignment specific to that cultural designation. Evil principalities and powers 5

must be nullified, and each mountain must be occupied and transformed by kingdom disciples. (Ps. 2; Eph. 1:15-23; 3:9-11; 6:10-17; Col. 1:12-18; 3:9-15; II Cor. 10:1-6; Ps. 149:5-8; Mt. 12:28-29) Prayer Points for the Religious Mountain 1. Repenting through the efficacious blood of: Man-imposed hierarchy that imposes Gentile style rule. (Mt. 20:25-28) Moral corruption within the church (Eph. 5:1-18) Deeds of darkness (Lk. 11:34-36; II Cor. 6:14; Eph. 5:11) Conformity to the philosophies of this age (Rom. 12:1-2; Eph. 2:1-6) Escapist religion that abandoned areas of culture (Mt. 5:13-16) Lawlessness in the church that is reflected by lawlessness in the culture (Prov. 6:23) Factions, divisions, and judgmentalism within the body of Christ (Lk. 9:49-50, James 4) Forfeiting care of widows, orphans, and others in need of true charity and surrendering that commission into the hands of the civil government. (James 1:27) 2. Denouncing demonic influence of kingpins, corruption, and violence: Nullifying false religions operating in area (all new age, Islam, cults, and satanic) Condemning altars of idolatry established throughout city Rejection of ancestral worship Closing highways/gateways that act as indigenous entry points Enforcing the divorcing of Baal decrees Denouncing Queen of Heaven worship 3. Proclaiming and releasing light: Calling forth worship in spirit and truth (Jn. 4:23) Releasing priesthood of believers in prayer and worship (I Pet. 2:9) Affirming the church s role of shining the light of Christ (Is. 9:2; 42:6; 58:5-12; 60:1-3; Mt. 4:16; 5:13-16) Holding fast to sound doctrine (II Tim. 3:16-17; 4:3-4; Titus 1:9-11; 2:1) Acknowledging the universal church (Ps. 133; I Cor. 12:12-26; Eph. 2:14-22; 4:1-6; I Jn. 4:7-1) Calling forth revival and reformation (II Chron. 7:14; Ps. 85:4-7; Is. 57:15; Hosea 6:1-3; Hab. 3:3) Praying that the eyes of understanding of believers might be enlightened that they would know that hope of their calling and their inheritance in the saints (Eph.1:18) 1. Who owns the family? Mountain #2 Family (The mountain of strength) General Principles of the Family Mountain 6

God created Adam and Eve, thus declaring marriage to be God-ordained and God-defined. (Gen. 1:26-27; 2:18-25; 3:20; Mt. 19:4-9) Marriage is more than a contract; it is a sacred covenant entered into by an oath ( Till death do us part ) before a God-ordained representative authority and is therefore Holy Matrimony. (Mt.2:13-17; Prov. 18:22; Ecc. 9:9; Mt. 5:32) The family unit is God s first building block for cultural fulfillment. (Gen. 1:26-28) The family is the second of God s three human institutions that possess representative authority to exercise disciples in His name. These institutions are the church, the state, and the family; and although their spheres overlap, the government of each sphere is self-contained and God-ordered. 2. What is the role of the family? The family has the God-given monopoly on procreation; and life, as a gift from God is ordained to be brought forth and protected within the context of the holy covenant of marriage. (Gen. 1: 27-28; 2:7; 2:20; Ex. 13:2; 21:22-25; 22:29; Num. 3:13) God has placed a boundary around interpersonal sex within the context of the marriage covenant, thus forbidding all extra-marital, pre-marital, homosexual, bi-sexual, or incestuous acts as well as bestiality. (Deut. 22:22-29; Lev. 18:6; Ex. 22:19; Rom. 1:24-27; Heb. 13:4) The family has the authority and responsibility of educating and training children with the Word of God being the organizing principle around which education must be centered. (Deut. 6:4-9; Prov. 22:6; Gal. 4:2; II Tim. 3:14-15) The family has the power and responsibility to produce and manage assets, steward resources, and build multi-generational wealth. (Gen. 28:4; Ex. 20; 17; 32:13; Num. 27:6-11; Ruth 4:5-10; Ps. 37:18, 34; 69:35-36; Prov. 18:22; 19:14; Ecc. 7:11-12; Lk. 15:11-32) The family is granted to use corporeal punishment through the application of the rod for the purpose of instructing the child that rebellion yields temporal pain in this life, thus modeling eternal pain for the rebellious in eternity. (Prov. 10:13; 13:24; 22:15; 23:13-14) 3. What is the structure of the family? God ordained the family unit to be one man, one woman, and the children produced by either natural birth or covenantal adoption. (Gen. 1:27-28; 2:21-25; 3:20; 17:23-27; Eph. 1:5; 5:29-32) Husbands have been granted headship over the family through which they are to love, 7

cultivate, and support the wife and children in the fulfillment of their eternal destinies. (I Cor. 11:3; Eph. 5:25-33) Wives serve as co-laborers over the family unit by complementing, submitting to, and honoring the husband. (Gen. 2:18-23; Eph. 5:21-24) Children are responsible to honor and obey their parents. (Prov. 1:8-9; 4:20-22; 6:20-23; 7:1-4; Eph. 6:1; Col. 3:2) 4. What is the blessing of the family? Long term prosperity that includes blessings upon all aspects of life, including financial affluence, is promised to those who live in covenant-keeping faithfulness and who obey God s commandments. (I Sam. 2:30; Gen. 48:14-16; Deut. 6:2; 7:9; 28:1-14; II Chron. 1:9-12; Prov. 3:1-2; Ps. 112; Prov. 3:21-26; Prov. 8:12-21; Prov. 14:24) Long life and health is a promise attached to Commandment Five, which is honoring one s father and mother. (Ex. 20:12; Deut. 5:16; Mt. 15:3-6; Mk. 7:9-13; Eph. 6:2) Inheritance is passed from generation to generation, thus providing accumulation of assets for both personal enjoyment and for the family s ability to influence the culture. (Deut. 8:18; I Chron. 29:28; Prov. 13:11; 13:22; 19:14; 24:3-6; Ecc. 5:18-20) Prayer Points for the Family Mountain 1. Repenting through the efficacious blood for: Breakdown of the family unit Assault on the womb through abortion Assault on marriage by the homosexual agenda Failure of the church to turn hearts of fathers to hearts of children (Mal. 4:6) Allowing the civil arena to confiscate the training of children from families and churches and bring education under the umbrella of state schools via coerced taxation. 2. Denouncing demonic influence of kingpins, corruption, and violence: Nullifying all attempts of Satan to destroy the seed line that was promised to destroy him and his followers. (Gen. 3:15- first proclamation; Ex. 1:7-2:10 - genocide in Moses day; Mt. 2: genocide at Jesus birth; Rev devil s fury against church; I Jn. 3:8 Jesus destroyed works of evil one) Denouncing gangs that produce false family and false identity Rejection of violence to children through sex trafficking Reversing the following trends: Approximately 50 % of all marriages end in divorce 60% of all couples dwell together before marriage 40.8% of births are to unwed mothers 750,000 teen pregnancies each year (the highest rate of any western 8

industrialized nation) More that ½ of all teen mothers never graduate from high school 8 out of 10 teen dads don t marry the mothers of their children Abortion rates: 234 out of 1000 live births; 1.2 million/year; 3,288/day; 137/hour; 1/every 26 sec. ( 3. Proclaiming and releasing light: Calling forth fathers (Mal. 4:6) Releasing light to families for rebuilding according to biblical models (Is. 58:5-12) Affirming biblical gender roles (Rom. 1:18-32) Covering the supreme court for wisdom in ruling on Hollingsworth V Perry (decision on upholding Prop 8 California ban on gay marriage) Fear of the Lord to visit civil institutions that legislate destruction of family unit Acknowledging multi-generational wealth and inheritance and putting a hedge of protection around it to protect it from a covetous state. Mountain #3 Education (The mountain of wisdom) General Principles of the Education Mountain 1. Upon whom does the responsibility to educate rest? Children are the heritage of the Lord, but God entrusts parents with the responsibility to train children in the nurture and admonition of the Lord. (Gen. 17:9-13; 18:17-19; Deut. 6: 4-9; Ps. 127:3; Prov. 22:6) Parents may enlist the help of others from various disciplines to help train their children, but the duty to insure that the education contains a biblical worldview remains the sole responsibility of the parents. (Gal. 4:1-2) Education is not a function of the civil realm that usurps the values and volition of the family in an attempt to raise up heirs for the state. (Dan. 1:3-5) 2. What is the purpose of education? The Fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom; (Ps. 111:10; Prov. 9:10; 15:33) and an understanding of God s Word is the foundation of knowledge, wisdom, and understanding. (II Chron. 1:9-12; Prov. 2:6; 8:12; 24:14; Is. 11:2; 33:5-6; Eph. 1:17) God is the beginning of all that was created, therefore all the particulars of knowledge have God s will and purposes as a reference point. God is the universal organizing principal around which all individual parts are defined and understood. (A universe not a multi-verse point of view builds a Biblical Worldview) (Gen. 1:1; Prov. 8:12-36; Is. 46:9-10; Acts. 15:18; 17:28) 9

Satan, the father of lies, suggested Eve could be an autonomous, self-determiner of truth rather than learning truth subjectively from the Father of all truth. (Gen. 3:5; Jn. 1:14; 4:23; 8:44; 15:26) Knowledge obtained through a proper learning process creates persons skilled for the job of stewarding the earth for the kingdom and for releasing the earth from the bondage associated with sin and the fall. (Ex. 31:1-6; 35:30-35; I Sam. 16:14-18; I Ki. 7:14; I Chron. 22:11-16; 25:5-7; II Chron. 26:14-15; Dan. 1:17-21; Rom. 8:19-23) Tending the earth takes understanding of purpose and design. (Prov. 3:19; 24:3; Jer. 10:12) 3. What is the benefit of education? Those prepared through training and faithful stewardship may be granted increased places of influence on the cultural mountains. (Gen. 39:1-6; I Sam. 2:35; Ps. 31:19-24; Mt. 25:20-23; Lk.12:42; 16:10-12) Knowledge of truth breaks downs lies and seductions of enemy. (Jn. 8:32, 44: 14:15-17) Long-term occupation and influence of the earth is granted to those whose are knowledgeable of the Kingdom and of their area of labor. (Deut. 7:9; Ps. 25:8-14; 37:9, 11; 105:8-10; Mt. 5:5; 7:24-27) Prayer Points for the Education Mountain 1. Repenting through the efficacious blood for: (Repentance in the Greek is metanoia, which mean to change one s mind, to think differently, and implies reversal of decision and action) Exalted reasoning that is at war with God Abdication of responsibility by parents for the education of children Abdication of responsibility by church to assist families for theologically-based education Statist agenda to usurp the parental role of education Omitting God and Scriptures from schools Ballot-box theft that steals from one s neighbor through property tax to pay for the education of another family s children 2. Denouncing demonic influence of kingpins, corruption, and violence by: Rejecting Humanism, which is empowered by rationalism and the twin of humanism, which is atheism Nullifying the hold of the enemy over the righteous seed line of Christ Condemning the tyranny of the civil realm as it over-reaches into the governmental sphere of the family 10

Rejection of corruption in the unions connected with state education Closing legal loopholes that forcibly require parents to submit to school s liberal agendas Denouncing gangs and violence within the state schools 3. Proclaiming and releasing light: Calling forth the fear of the Lord in order to release wisdom Reclaiming institutions of higher learning to become bastions of truth Declaring blessings upon teachers and administrators who serve God in the state schools Releasing the light of truth that minds might comprehend truth Affirming that children are the heritage of the Lord Calling families to engage in their children s education as their God-ordained role Asking God to raise up Christians with new ideas in education that will meet the needs of all people-groups and all intelligence levels. 1. What is the purpose of government Mountain #4 Government (Civil) (The mountain of power) General Principles of the Government Mountain Civil Government is the third of three human institutions that possess representative authority to exercise disciples in God s name. Tyranny is the usurpation of power or responsibility of one jurisdiction over another; and in recent years, the civil government structures within the States and the Nation have been increasingly obliterating the boundaries of both the church and family to seize power that which belongs under the other two jurisdictional entities. The methods and patterns for civil government are outlined within both the Old and New Testaments, which are designed to shed light upon the subject of civil polity and divine administrations. To reject God s Word on the civil realm is equivalent to consigning patterns of humanism and the exalted reasoning of sinful men as the arbitrators of peace and justice. (Deut. 17:18-20; II Chron. 6:12-42; II Ki. 22:8-23:3) The moral principles and precepts contained in the scriptures ought to form the basis of all our civil constitutions and laws. All the miseries and evils which men suffer from vice, crime, ambition, injustice, oppression, slavery, and war, proceed from their despising or neglecting the precepts contained in the Bible. (Noah Webster, American Dictionary of the English Language (1828)) Civil Government is empowered to protect the citizenry by the use of the sword to punish criminals within society and to assemble military for national defense. (Rom 13:3-4; Num. 35:29-31; Deut. 17:6-7; 19:15-21; 33:20-21; II Sam. 8:15; Ps. 9:7; 11

89:14; Prov. 8:15; 16:12; 20:28; Num. 31:25-47; Deut. 24:5) A system of courts, whose laws must be based upon God s Word, is to be established to protect the rights of individuals apart from bias or prejudice that citizens might be free to exercise their labor without any unjust or immoral interference from another individual, any interest group, or from a collective vote of the electorate. (Ex. 18:13-26; Jer. 22:13; Is. 10:1-2; Ps. 94:20; Rom. 13:3; I Tim. 1:9-10) Government holds the responsibility of establishing and maintaining just weights and balances, which will insure the integrity of the nation s economy and the stability of the market. (Lev. 19:35-37; Deut. 25:13-17; Prov. 11:1; 16:11; 20:10, 23) The legitimate goal of all government is protection of the lives of the citizens, including the oversight and prevention of, as well as the quarantine against, infectious disease. (Lev. 13:38-59; 14:1-57; Num. 5:1-5; II Chron. 26:16-23; Mt. 8:1-4) 2. What authority does government possess? Civil government is considered to be the minister of God for punishment of evil-doers. (Rom. 13: 1-6) God sets dignitaries as it pleases Him and turns their hearts to accomplish His will, which might be to release blessing or to unleash cursing upon the earth in response to the deeds of men. (Ex. 14:1-8, 16-18; Deut. 2:30-33; Prov. 21:1; Dan. 2:37-38; 4:24-37; 5:22-31; Ezra 5:12-17; Is. 47:1-15; Jer. 25:11-14) Civil government has the authority to tax its citizens for revenue. Biblical taxes are based upon increase, are levied for military purposes, are not to exceed the 10% tax of God (the tithe), and are not to be placed upon a man s inheritance. (Rom. 13:6-7; Mt. 17:24-27; 22:21; Lev. 27:30-34; Deut. 14:22-25; Ex. 20:17; Deut. 27:17; 22:28; I Sam. 8:7-22) 3. Who is granted authority to rule? All delegated authority flows from God and is accountable to God for the execution of that authority. (Rom. 13:1-2; Jn. 19:11; Ps. 2; Dan. 4:35-37; I Tim. 6:15; Rev. 17:14) Biblical leadership follows the pattern seen in Christ of service and humility with a focus on de-centralization. Anti-Christ and godless leadership is established through manipulation, pride, and top-down authoritative dominion. (Deut. 16:18-20; Mt. 20: 25-28; Phil. 2:5-8 vs. Gen. 11:1-9; Jud. 9:1-6, 52-57; Dan. 2:45; Dan. 7:7; Rev. 13:1; Is. 12:12-14) Civil rulers should be God-fearing with interest in morality and religion who exemplify integrity, principles, and Christian character. (Ex. 18:21; II Sam. 23:3; Prov. 29:2) 12

4. What are the limits of civil governments? Civil government is not granted responsibility over education, nor called to administer charity, nor allowed to intrude into church dogma. (Deut. 6:6-9; Ruth 2:1-3; Lk. 10: 30-36; 19:1-8; II Chron. 26:18) What God would not allow an individual to do to another individual, such as stealing the inheritance that a man has laid up for his heirs, God does not allow the collective to do through the use of legislation. God does not sanction a covetous person nor does He endorse of a covetous nation. (I Ki. 21:1-16; Jer. 34:8-20) Obedience to unjust and tyrannical civil magistrates comes after obedience to God s commands, therefore under limited conditions based only on compliance with God s Word, men are required to refuse compliance to civil authority. (Daniel and the lion s den Dan. 6:4-24; Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego in the fiery furnace Dan. 3:8-30; Moses contest with Pharaoh Ex. 5-12; Peter and John with the Jewish leaders Acts 4:18-19; Stephen and the religious council Acts 7:51-60; Saints who refused mark of the beast Rev. 13:16-18; 20:4-6) Prayer Points for the Government Mountain 1. Repenting through the efficacious blood for: Abandoning the public sector by the church thus creating a vacuum of godly influence Not remaining on the walls in prayer and intercession Not enforcing the victory of Christ as King of the nations Not praying for all who are in authority (I Tim 2:1-2) Corruption brought about through the pride of life Sins of corrupt leadership and godless laws Unjust judgments by the courts Unbalanced budgets, fiat currency, national debt 2. Denouncing demonic influence of kingpins, corruption, and violence by: Binding manipulation and abuse in rulers Nullifying unlawful and unbiblical pact with Anti-Christ spirits Dethroning kingpins and false government structures set in high places Denouncing and divorcing false authority of Baal Condemning fraternities of evil Rejection of corruption brought about by the pride of life 3. Proclaiming and releasing light: Claiming protection for godly rulers Releasing strategies to invade seats of government with Kingdom solutions to social issues 13

Calling forth revival and return to self-government as hearts are changed and willing to be instructed in righteousness Neutralizing the Anti-Christ influence in the land s highest offices Declaring protection over our military and policing agencies Asking for the highest offices in the land to be filled with believers Claiming: If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. (II Chron. 7:13-14) 1. What is the role of the media? Mountain #5 Media (The mountain of blessing) General Principles of the Media Mountain Media is assigned the role of gathering information and disseminating that news through various formats, such as written, spoken, or broadcast. An effective media does due diligence to gather all pertinent facts, verify the validity of the facts, and publish the facts without prejudice or misrepresentation. Media serves the public interest as society s eyes and ears in the manner of a watchdog by publishing exposés, which hold accountable individuals and institutions who are supposed to serve the public. Media may vary from simpler forms of personal communications to the more complex methods of mass communication. The advent of technology is universalizing the ability for the average person to produce media, thus blurring the lines between personal and mass media. A deregulated media affords more opportunity for private ownership, which allows media the advantages of any business such as better products, better services, and reduced costs due to competition. A deregulated media is untethered from governmental control, which insures the flow of information will not be corrupted or regulated by a socialist or totalitarian regime for the purpose of propagandizing. 2. In what way does media influence the public sphere? Because information is a key component to decision making, facts must be grounded in truth before a just decision can be rendered. If information is shrouded by lies or deception, conclusions and actions will be skewed. (Reporters came to David with the news on the fate of his son Absalom - II Sam. 18:19-32; Council founded in jealousy and reporting based in bias promoted corrupt civil action against Daniel Dan. 6:1-24; Accurate reporting of the plans of the enemy positioned Israel to be victorious in battle II Ki, 6:8-12) 14

Eve received a report from the serpent, which included misrepresented facts on the nature of God, herself, her present situation, and her future. Assuming the father of lies information to have equal validity with God s communication, she made her decision and acted upon the devil s op-ed. (Gen. 3:1-7) Goliath broadcast a message of fear to the Israelites, which shaped a cultural consensus of apprehension and inaction. The same tactic was used by Sennacherib during the days of Hezekiah. (I Sam. 17; II Chron. 32:9-21) Joshua and Caleb broadcast a good report about Canaan to the nation of Israel but ten other spies reported on immense obstacles. The populace was persuaded by the mass media and decided not to enter the Promise Land. (Num. 13:16-33) During the trial of Jesus, the population was stirred due to the propagation of false reports of Jewish religious leaders. (Matt. 27:20-25; Mk. 15:7-15) The Apostle Paul suffered many persecutions at the hands of crowds who had been incited due to bias reporting by the Jewish leaders. (Antioch Acts 13:42-50; Iconium Acts 14:1-6; Thessalonica and Berea Acts 17:1-14; Jerusalem Acts 21:18-40) 3. What models are applied to the media mountain and how effective or ineffective are the various models? The majority of media outlets in the United States fall under the category of private ownership and are operated under a business model. Positive effect of Model -Better products because of marketplace competition -Generated funds that can underwrite investigative reporting costs -Reach masses with breaking news of natural catastrophes or national importance -Mobilize citizens to community service or as a catalyst for legislative change Negative effect of Model -Industry concentration of media conglomerates can stifle opposing views -Serving community needs by accurate reporting can capitulate to less important stories, which can tend toward dumbing down of news by a media whose focus is upon entertainment -Profit can come before public interest -Outlets may choose to invest in exposés that give then completive advantage -Outlets can partner with government or advertisers for favorable legislation or increased revenues, respectively, thus risking compromise of watchdog reporting Public broadcasting serves the media mountain for both dissemination of news and education of the public. Positive effect of Model -Because public broadcasting is commercial free, the news is not evaluated by the 15

bottom line profit -Outlets are funded by foundations, donor-based contributions, with a narrow percentage coming from public (government funds) -Public broadcasting attempts to supply topics of social benefit that are otherwise not being broadcast by commercial broadcasters Negative effect of Model -Public broadcasting can be susceptible to laws and stipulations imposed via government regulations, which could hamper or impede reporting -Congress funds the Corporation on Public Broadcasting, which in turn divvies up the money according to formula. (In 2012, $445 million or about.014% of federal budget went to public broadcasting) Professional broadcasting, which includes schools of journalism, standards of the industry, and recognized or authenticated outlets, is being challenged by alternative media, which includes any source of information that is not widely produced or consumed and is mainly seen today in outlets such as blogs, podcasts, websites, tweets, and internet video (YouTube) Positive effect of Alternative Media -Individuals who report unencumbered by the ideologies of professionalism -Self-regulating due to audience appeal and following -Circumvents entanglements with either government or advertisers (market) -Different norms, values, and news imperatives that challenge mass media Negative effect of Alternative Media -Opinions often substitute for facts, fact-finding, and hard evidence -Creating a new trajectory of the media that has yet to establish norms of authenticity and competency -While de-centralization promises more points of view and less chance for media conglomerates to control content, alternative media can result in multifarious social ferment 4. How does worldview and pre-suppositional thinking influence the media and culture? News media is a powerful conditioner of the human spirit and will. Hope deferred makes the heart sick; a merry heart has the power to remedy ills; and fear paralyses. (Is. 52:7; Is. 40: 9-11; Prov. 17:22; 13:12; 25:25; Ps. 48:1-6; 105: 26-38; Prov. 1:33; Is. 21:4; Lk. 21:26; Rev 1:17) Media either places man as the center of all things known or places God as the axiomatic focus of all knowledge. Satan suggested to Eve that egocentric held preeminence over theocentric. The broadcaster s worldview provides the foundational block from which reporting emanates. (Gen. 3:1-7; Deut. 10:12-14; 31:1-13; Ps. 111:10; Prov. 1:7; 9:10; 15:33; Is. 33:6; Acts. 15:18; Ps. 2; 148; Is. 40:25-28; 45:5-13, 18-19; Col. 1:16-17; Rev. 4:11) 16

Media has the power to shape the news so that it not only communicates information but it also transmits acceptable norms and develops social opinions. (Reporting generated national unanimity that David was a greater warrior than Saul I Sam. 18:7; 21:11; Korah, Dathan, and Abiram published the opinion that Moses rule was selfconferred Num. 16:1-35; News spread that Moses leadership was non-viable to secure food and drink, which created rebellion Num. 20:1-13; 21:4-9; Consensus of popular opinion created the policy change of setting a king over Israel I Sam. 8:4-22; Absalom presented disinformation to the people and turned their hearts away from King David and generated a national insurgency II Sam. 15:1-19:15) Prayer Points for the Media Mountain 1. Repenting through the efficacious blood for: A willingness to remain ill-informed about historical, constitutional, and social facts Allowing the truth of scriptures to be removed from the public sector Sins of corrupt leagues between the civil rulers and the media Unjust alliances between mammon and media Unethical standards in both media producers and media consumers Preference of entertainment over substantive reporting Failure to act upon information to correct the injustices that have been exposed 2. Denouncing demonic influence of kingpins, corruption, and violence by: Condemning lies of the enemy that pervert the good ways of the Lord Breaking leagues between large media behemoths that promote anti-christ agendas and the propagation of falsehoods Nullifying actions that seek to destroy 1 st Amendment Rights Binding violence against investigative reporters who seek to expose corruption, whether that violence comes in the form of harassment, lawsuits, jail, or physical harm Petitioning God to expose corruption in high places and dismantle systems perpetuating malfeasance Standing against any propaganda machine that is compliant with a socialist agenda 2. Proclaiming and releasing light by: Releasing the pre-conditions for a watchdog press, which are; Constitutional and legal protections for a free press Access to information Laws that facilitate rather than impede investigations Claiming wisdom to balance national security with the people s right to know Invoking the fear of God, which is the beginning of wisdom Discharging light to reveal and expose things hidden in darkness that harm society Calling forth new media outlets that will be carriers of good new Asking for God s favor upon the righteous within the media mountain Requesting that abundant finances will flow to righteous media outlets Blessing the faithful stewards of the media mountain 17

Mountain # 6 Entertainment (Celebration) (The mountain of glory) General Principles of the Entertainment Mountain 1. What role does entertainment play in a culture? Entertainment provides a platform for story telling where the talents and creativity of the entertainer are utilized to communicate a story for either a simple expression of emotion or to tell a tale to an audience. Song, dance, art, drama, games, etc. may be done by an individual for the purpose of self-expression of joy or sorrow; and they may be performed by a person or group of persons to inculcate an audience into the narrative. (Ex. 15:1-21; Deut. 31:19-30; 32:1-43; Jud. 5:1-31; I Sam. 21:11; I Chron. 16:7-36; Ps. 137:1-9) Use of the arts and all its varied expressions as the medium of communication are to the entertainment mountain what the Psalm 150 varied expressions are to the Halal of God the Hallelujah. Music, dance, and all manner of man-designed inventions may be utilized in expressing any of man s stories, including the story of worship to God. (I Sam. 4:5; Ez. 3:11-13; Ps. 7:17; 13:6; 21:13; 30:14; 32:11; 33:1-3; 47:1; 59:16; 71:22; 98:1-9; 132:9; 149:3) God tells His story through use of creative acts and in artistic demonstration. Ps. 19: 1-3 says, The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament shows his handiwork. Day unto day utters speech, an night unto night shows knowledge. There is no speech nor language where their voice is not heard. (Gen. 1-2; 15:1-18 [Jer.34:13-20]; Ex. 4:2-9; plus the following: Joseph s dream Gen. 37:5-11; Nebuchadnezzar s dream Dan. 2:31-45; Belshazzar s dream Dan. 7:1-28; Daniel s vision Dan. 8:1-14; God s truth revealed in animals Prov. 6:6-11; 30:18-31; Pictorial symbolism throughout the whole book of Revelation.) God s people and His prophets also used creative acts and artistic demonstrations to tell God s story. (Gen. 37: 31-34; Josh. 7:5-7; Ruth 4:6-10; II Sam. 1:11-12; 12:1-9; I Ki. 11: 29-36; II Ki. 13:14-19; Job 1:18-21; Is. 20:1-5; Jer. 13:1-11; 27:1-11; 43:8-13; 51:60-63; Ez. 3:25-27; 4:1-17; 37:1-14, 15-28: Hosea 1:1-3:5; Jonah 3:5-8; Matt. 25:65-68; Acts 21:8-14) Celebration is used to testify of things to which a person or a culture ascribes value. A person may be celebrated for accomplishments such as his or her birthday, graduation upon a particular level of achievement, or realization of a success. A nation celebrates memorials of historic significance such as 4 th of July or New Years Day, and it sets commemorative holidays to acknowledge persons such as Veterans Day or Christmas. (Gen. 21:5-8; 29:18-22; Ex 12:12-20; 23:14-19; 34:18-23; Lev. 23:1-44; Deut. 16:1-17; Jud. 21:19; II Sam. 3:20-21; 6: 12-19; I Ki. 8:1-11, 62-66; 12:26-33; II Chron. 30:13-26; 18

Ezra 3:1-5; 6:19-22; Esther 1:1-9; 8:15-17; 9:17-28; Ecc.10:19; Is. 5:11-14; 25:6-8; Hos. 2:6-13; 8:9-10; Matt. 26:17-30; Lk. 2:41-42) The use of wine or other alcoholic beverages is connected with celebration, but excessive drunkenness and debauchery is often tied to human orgies or even satanic worship rituals. (Gen. 9:20-27; 19:32-38; Ex. 29:38-46; Lev. 10:8-11; Num. 6:1-4, 20-21; 18:11-13; Deut. 11:13-14; 32:28-35; 33:26-29; Jud. 9:22-27; II Sam. 6:17-19; I Chron. 12:38-40; Prov. 20:1, 21:17; 23:19-21, 29-32; 31:4-9; Is. 5:11-13, 21-25; 28:1-8; Joel 2:23-27; Amos 9:11-15; Acts 2:1-4, 12-18; Rom. 14:16-21; I Cor. 5:11; 6:9-11; Gal. 5:19-26; Eph. 5:18-20; I Tim. 3:1-10) 2. How is entertainment a reflection of values? Man is at the same time an image bearer and an image creator. The image fashioned upon a man s soul becomes stamped upon the man s creation in like manner as God stamped His image upon all that He created. (Gen. 1:26-27; Lev. 26:1; Deut. 4:23; 27:15; Ps. 19:1; Is. 40:18-26; Jer. 10:12-16; Dan. 3:1-7; Hab. 2:18-20; Rom. 1:19-25; 8:29; 12:2; Col. 1:12-17; 3:10) The Latin word colere is the root of the English word culture and the English word cult. The development of society reflects the worship and beliefs offered by that society. (Gen. 6:5-7; 11:1-9; 15:13-16; Ex. 1:8-22; 3:6-10; Deut. 8:6-20; 28:1-14; Jud. 2:11-15; II Sam. 5:4-12; I Ki. 10:14-29; 14:21-27; 15:9-15; II Chron ; Neh. 1-3; Rev. 18) The medium of dance, drama, art, song, or sports used to communicate man s story is not intrinsically good or evil. These neutral art forms take on the moral component of the human creator who tells the story of his or her values through the various means. (Compare the dance of Miriam to the dance of Salome Ex. 15:1-3, vs. Matt. 14:1-11; contrast the artistry of Bezaleel to that of Nebuchadnezzar Ex. 31:1-11 vs. Dan. 3:1-7) 3. How does entertainment create or influence the values of a culture? God created mankind by His light and sound and wired within man the ability to, likewise, produce light and sound. Therefore, the entertainment mountain, whose language of communication uses the sights (light) and sounds of story-telling, exerts an inordinate pull upon the soul as it captivates hearts through auditory and visual grandeur. (Gen. 1:3, 26 [I Jn. 1:5; Ps. 104:2]; I Chron. 16:29; Ps. 29:1-2; 96:1-9; 149; 150; Is. 60:1-6; Jn. 1:1-13; 9:5; II Cor. 4:6) Ye are the light of the world... let your light shine before men (Matt. 5:14-16). The true light, which is in harmony with God s Word, will cause people to respond to and honor God whereas false light, which is a beacon that appears to be shining light but truth is not in it, will cause people to respond to and follow a false god. ( Deut. 28:15, 28-29; 19

Ps. 119:105; Is. 5:20-21; 29:16-21; 35:1-10; 42:6-9, 16; 50:10; 59:16-21; Mt. 6:22-24; Jn. 3:19-21; 8:44-45; Acts 26:18; II Cor. 4:4; Rev. 21:9-12, 22-27; 22:1-5) Those who excel in the entertainment mountain are often referred to as stars. God placed the sun, moon, and stars in heaven to light the earth, to divide light from darkness, and to rule both the day and the night. Metaphorically speaking, celebrity stars are ascribed a transcendent position and credited with the ability to light the way for their earthly followers.(ii Sam. 22:26-37; Ps. 112:1-5; Prov. 4:18-19; Mt. 15:13-15; Lk. 4:5-8; Jn. 9:39-41; 12:44-48) Story tellers are culture-shapers. Jesus told parables to impart a Kingdom culture; prophets prophesied God s story in attempts to reshape a degenerating culture, and demonic forces communicate lies and perversions to fashion a fallen cosmos. (Parables Matt. 13; 21:28-32, 33-46; 22:1-14; 24:32-36; Lk. 5:36-39; 6:39-49; 12:16-21; 13:6-9; 14:7-14, 16-24; 15; 18:1-14; 19:11-27; Jn. 10:1-18; Prophets Jer. 8:6: 18:5-8; 26:12-15; Ez. 14:6-8; Joel 2:12-17; Jonah 3:1-10; Mt. 11:16-24; 12:38-42; 23:29-39; Acts 7:51-60; Demonic and lies Gen. 3:1-7, 14-15; Ps. 58:1-4; 63:7-11; 101:1-8; Prov. 6:16-19; 14:5, 25; 19:5, 9; Is. 28:14-19; 59:1-6; Jer. 9:1-9; 23:13-15, 32; Ez. 13:8-9, 22-23; Zech. 10:2; Jn. 8:44-45; Acts. 13:9-10; I Tim. 4:1-2; Rev. 22:14-15) 4. What spirit seeks to control the entertainment mountain? The church is the Bride of Christ, who is commissioned to use the art forms in true worship to her Lord, Jesus. Conversely, a false bride would utilize the art forms to illicit false worship to a false lord. The false lord is Baal and the false bride is Jezebel. God-centered worship releases the voice of the prophet. Conversely, Jezebel fed the false prophets at her table while destroying the true prophets of God. When Israel, who was called to be God s bride and offer true worship to Him, became unfaithful and worshipped Baal due to Jezebel s influence, God called Israel adulterous and compared her to a harlot. The entertainment mountain under Jezebel s influence seduces people with false sights and sounds (worship) and prophesies a false gospel. The entertainment industry often promotes lascivious dress and acts as well as sexually promiscuous activity and homosexuality, which practices were often identified with idol worship in pagan temples. (I Ki. 16:30-33; 18:3-4, 19; Ez. 16:15-42; 23:1-49; Rev. 2:20) Prayer Points for the Entertainment Mountain 1. Repenting through the efficacious blood for: Living in a spirit of asceticism and, thus, abandoning the Church s influence in the entertainment mountain Eating a Jezebel s table by partaking of the godless and idolatrous aspects of entertainment Idolizing false stars and seeking to mirror their fashions and lifestyles 20

Forsaking the use of creative arts as part of church worship and replacing the sights and sounds of the Halal with dead form and lifeless rituals 2.
