3 Letter from the Creator Thank you for your interest in franchising with Lilla Lane. Well into our second decade of operations, we still run Lilla Lane based on the same spirit and values that were behind its creation. After more than ten years of wholesaling in Bali, I opened my first retail outlet in At the time it seemed like a completely absurd idea, as there were few western style boutiques. Most shops were simple market stands with their articles haphazardly displayed on either side of the entrance. No one could have imagined that Bali would one day be known for its sophisticated boutiques and burgeoning fashion scene, nor that brands with international appeal, such as Lilla Lane, would emerge. So much has changed since the beginning. Back then, people came to Bali to explore an alternative way of life. We were enchanted by a simpler and more spiritual way of living. Surrounded by amazingly lush tropical nature, we had arrived in paradise. The lack of electricity, telephones, refrigerators, were all affectionately accepted novelties. Bali is intense, and even though there were some dramas we lived in relative harmony, worked with and had fun with the Balinese. They were proud to be Balinese, and we were proud to be in Bali. Yes, the atmosphere was more lighthearted and easygoing then, but the essence of Bali remains largely the same, even in the more modern and developed version we see today. Though the Lilla lane stores are part of that change, they also, I hope and believe, capture my great admiration for the artists and craftsmen in Bali. My ideas are so often inspired by traditional beading, embroidery, handweaving, batik, hand painting, rattan weaving and many other indigenous techniques of Indonesia. Our creations showcase the inspiration from the many years I have spent in Bali and the dedication to quality of the talented Lilla Lilla Lane artisans. The combination of Indonesian techniques and added artifacts from all over the world create a unique accessory article, always original and often one of a kind. Our Bali stores serve as a competitive testing ground, where we gauge reactions to our new designs before including them as mainstream products. My greatest joy comes from fresh ideas put into actualization in the morning and realized that afternoon A simple pleasure drawn from what feels like inexhaustible sources of inspiration. Tourists, as well as local customers return to our stores as a testament of their appreciation of the quality, uniqueness and beauty of the products. we have faithful clients that come back every year to replenish their shoe closets or find that special handwoven leather handbag. Since their conception, the Lilla Lane stores have attracted a global clientele. In addition, buyers from all over the globe are enhancing our growing international popularity and reputation. In response we have now assembled a complete franchise package that captures the essence of Bali and our original store concept, highlighting the merchandise and making it easy for you to become an integral part of the Lilla Lane family. 4 Lilla Lane Design Every piece of Lilla Lane merchandise is designed and produced in our atelier in Bali. our head designer, thora moss, finds inspiration in the traditional Asian arts and crafts, translating techniques such as weaving and beading to modern fashion. We work with all natural materials including leather, natural rattan, cotton, wood, and shells, which are all hand picked by our Designers. after careful research, Our talented craftsmen hand make each piece with much care and attention to detail. Additionally, since everything is constructed here in Bali, we can happily produce custom made designs for your store. Combinations of materials such as hand embroidered Indian ribbon, painstakingly hand woven leather and artisan printed fabrics are quintessential Lilla Lane design concepts. Along with the authenticity of materials in each piece, One other way lilla lane differentiates itself from other designers is by incorporating bags, Shoes, belts and cuffs into every collection. Not only does this make accessorizing every outfit simple and fun, but it also adds an ease to merchandising.

5 store design Our stores honor the beauty of nature by using materials such as wood, linen fabrics, stone, Coconut and shells. Over time, our own style has developed perhaps best described as a mixture of Bali Bohemia and hamptons elegance. The juxtaposition of the the ivory infused furnishings and walls with the warm earthy tones of our stone floors and subtle lighting, enhances and presents our products in an elegant and feminine way. We want people to relax and feel at ease at Lilla Lane. therefore, we create a sense of intimacy by providing a comfortable seating area for the guest while shopping. The area should be comfortable and have a home like feeling. In our experience, a store larger than 60 Square Meters is recommended. This allows you to show the product range to its full potential, While also keeping your store from feeling cluttered. We will assist you with designing a custom layout for your store that optimally utilizes the space available, and work with you to choose the combination of Lilla Lane elements that best suits your particular situation. For larger items we can either produce the elements for you or provided you with detail schematics for local production. We will recommend a combination of Lilla Lane retail elements to kit out your new store perfectly. Further, we will either produce the elements for you or assist you with designs for local production of larger items. Our store design guide includes recommendations on lighting, flooring, window decoration and design of the point of sale. Our crafted furniture options, branded retail elements, marketing templates, and experience will enable you to quickly be up and running with a minimum amount of hassle as a featured Lilla Lane retailer.
