2 Welcome to NT13! The Nanotube (NT) conference series has long been the most important international venue for carbon nanotube research. The fourteenth installment will take place in June 2013 in the Dipoli Congress Centre on the campus area of Aalto University in Espoo, Finland. We expect to attract 600 participants, mostly from Europe, Japan and the Americas, but with special emphasis on emerging research countries such as China, Russia and Brazil. Carbon nanotubes belong to a class of materials that exhibit a variety of fascinating properties and offer a diversity of issues for research of both fundamental and practical interest. This meeting will bring leading scientists in the area of nanotube science together to evaluate past and define future trends of this exciting field. The conference will address progress at the frontiers of fundamental as well as applied research and will allow participants to exchange ideas and results of their latest work in an informal atmosphere. The conference will feature in plenary sessions over 5 days: three tutorial talks, 5 keynote speakers by the absolute top scientists in the world, 12 invited talks from leading researchers in the field, and 28 contributed talks chosen from the best submitted abstracts. The remaining contributions will be presented in poster sessions. The main meeting is followed by six parallel Satellite Symposia on June 29 in Tallinn, Estonia. Visit Espoo - Visit Helsinki - Otaniemi Otaniemi, the Silicon Valley of Finland, is located in Espoo a mere 15 minutes from the center of Helsinki. The area features a unique mix of top-level research organizations and academic institutions such as the architecturally distinct Aalto University campus, along with a number of technology businesses such as Nokia, Rovio, Kone, Fortum and Neste Oil. One of the premier congress venues in Helsinki, the distictly designed building has received WWF's Green Office certificate for it's low ecological footprint. The Conference organizers have partnered with an exhibition organizer to provide any needed stand structures for the exhibitors. A standard example stand package pictured below costs VAT 24% = 886,6 for the week. The structures can be customized according to preference, and will be booked directly from our partner WS-Expo group via the secretariat.

9 NT13 Exhibition information The attractive exhibition space will be up for the entire duration of the conference, located along the route all the delegates take daily to the scientific sessions and in the immediate vicinity of the breaks. The Exhibition space areas will be 2 x 2.5 m = 5 m 2, and will be distributed on a first come, first served basis (apart from Gold and Silver sponsor spaces). Exhibition stands will be built already on Thursday June 20. The exhibitors can bring their materials and equipment on Monday June 24 from 7.00 to am (Fri Sun is a national holiday), and everything should be removed on Friday 28 by 2.00 pm. 10 Application procedure Package negotiation Should you wish to book any of the offered sponsorship or exhibition packages, please first contact the NT13 Organizing Committee at to confirm the latest availability. Any customization requests should also be negotiated directly with the Organizers. Conditions of payment Upon the confirmation of your booking, the NT13 Secretariat will invoice for the agreed upon package price. Payment can be made via bank transfer or credit card (conditions apply). Full payment must be made within 14 days from the date of the invoice, but no later than June 1. The NT13 Conference is exempted from the Finnish Value Added Tax (VAT). Conditions of payment There are no refunds for confirmed bookings unless exceptional circumstances apply.
